If there was ever any advice I can give to anyone, is to floss after every meal and brush twice a day, especially at night.

My dental assistant was Brigham who did a wonderful job. He had such a great attitude! My dental hygienist was Taylor and she was gentle, yet thorough. From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed by the receptionist. Then I met Paulie who immediately made me feel at ease. I liked how she explained in detail what was happening, it made me feel calm. The office did offer to fix my fillings so I went back and they evened them out and the shooting pain was fixed and I was told there was no additional cost. 7 Months later I received an invoice from them for the filling adjustment saying my insurance did not pay for it even though it was presented to me as a complimentary fix on a poorly executed filling done by them in the first place. Since moving back to Dallas 4 years ago, I have struggled with finding a dental professional who wasn't 100 percent focused on the unnecessary cosmetic upsell. Until Dr. Stutsman...he truly practices dental health and is very clear with treatment options. Previously I had received dental treatment from an Uptown Dallas office and was somewhat satisfied with the office and service. Recently however, that office was acquired by "big corporate" and treatment quickly changed from preventative to "if you don't get this cosmetic procedure immediately, your teeth will fall out in 6 months!" I did not share any of this experience with Dr. Stutsman until after his initial assessment. Dr. Stutsman performed my assessment which included a comprehensive periodontal exam. (This is where he takes the "sharp, pointy thing" and started poking around each tooth at the gum level.). I listened closely as he probed each tooth, calling out a number...the higher the number, the more prone you are to needing another layer of treatment (if you hear greater than 5, pay attention and ask questions). Surprisingly, the highest number I heard was 4. How could this be? When he finished I turned to him and asked, "So Doc, how many gum pockets require antibiotic therapy?" He looked at me in complete confusion and asked "Have you previously had that therapy?" That's when I laughed and said "No!" I only then proceeded to explain my previous experience. In short, we both agreed on required next steps regarding my dental health as well as potential next steps regarding "if I could have anything I wanted in a smile..". FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE AND THE STAFF WAS SO FLEXIBLE AND AMAZING! You will not be disappointed!

I first visited the office after badly cracking one of my teeth. I was a part of a wedding just a few days later and I needed and rapid turnaround on my work. Dr. Ortiz saw me on the same day the incident happened and less than a week later I had a new tooth that looked remarkable. In addition to my crown, I also did a full whitening treatment that restored my teeth's natural whiteness. I looked great for the wedding and I couldn't ask for more efficient service. I returned to Dr. Ortiz for both a normal cleaning and then a full deep cleaning and scaling. Her staff did an excellent job of cleaning my teeth and explaining everything that was needed to ensure they remain healthy and attractive. If she was busy or the only person working, all she had to do was communicate that or offer to call me back from the start. After that, I called back twice from my phone and no one answered. Then I called from a different phone, and suddenly my call was picked up right away. At that point, I was frustrated that I told her to just cancel my appointment. I understand people get busy, but from my perspective, my calls from my number were being ignored. That's not how potential patients should be treated. The owner should be aware of how the front desk is handling patients because experiences like this can drive people away before they ever step into the office. I was genuinely interested in becoming a patient, but after this, I decided to go somewhere else.
