1. Old facility is only minimally accessible for people who use walkers, wheelchairs, and/or need assistance from an attendant- just FYI. 2. The technician conducting my elderly, and visibly physically disabled mother's biopsy placed her in the awkward procedure position on an elevated table, and then left her alone behind a closed door for several minutes. Thankfully, I was close enough to intervene when I realized what was going on. A rational, reasonable explanation for placing a fragile patient in danger like this does not exist. read more

I am disappointed in how my son's phone call with the front desk went today. He had a HIDA scan set up for tomorrow, he has had this appointment for months now, and was looking forward to it since he was complaining about pain in his gallbladder. Now, I understand there was a national wide Contrast shortage, and they canceled his previous appt. in November. But what happened today was ridiculous. He called to confirm his appointment for tomorrow, and they said, "We called your number on January 19th to reschedule your appointment to February 10th." Firstly, it is frustrating that they rescheduled on him...again. Secondly, we both checked his phone records on his iPhone and with T-Mobile, and we Never received a phone call from their office saying they rescheduled it. Thirdly, why would they just call, and not confirm with the patient before changing the appointment. It would be unprofessional, if they even did call. The Receptionist was dismissive and would not acknowledge any error on their end. My son couldn't do the 10th, but he knew he needed the scan, and the receptionist could not get him in till May or June. So my son canceled his travel plans and took the appointment. I understand mistakes happen, and perhaps it was a simple clerical error on their end. But the fact they did not acknowledge it or try to work around the problem is upsetting. I do not know the technicians or doctors at this location, and they may be great, but they should consider getting a new front desk staff. I will tell our Gastroenterologist to not send us to this location again. If you can avoid scheduling with this Wave Imaging location. read more

I feel like the lady in the front does not like her job. I was greeted with such an aggressive attitude that for me, as a patient who was going to have my first MRI with contrast and was stressed over it already, decided not to have it anymore. She completely turned me off from it and this place. Please have people who work at the front be more empathetic and not seem like they hate their job and the patients, it's already hard for us to have to do these examinations and are stressed enough as it is. read more

The Wave imaging in Santa Ana, x-ray technician very rude and angry face all the time and they are didn't care about the patients, specially the old patients, sometimes patients ask the question after done x-ray - for how long have to wait MRI- exam, the x ray tech said back with angry face, go ask them, i don't know, Can tell the patient face looks like got shock ... unprofessional. This was my first scheduled appt for an MRI. I work in a Legal Inviornment for a major company and just today did a training on customer contact. When I say it has taken everything to keep from snapping on a rude receptionist, who treated me in an unprofessional manner. Im sure she is just wonderful to the people in her office, but definitely missed the mark with me. I live 90 miles away and the appt is schedules 1.5 hrs after my shift ends, only to be met with one of the rudest receptionist ever....is an understatement. She immediately advised she would not be able to see me today because she did not have an order, not I'm sorry we need additional info, nothing to immediately resolve the issue. In this present climate I truly had to call on someone to keep me calm and not react to her rudeness, which was not easy and I'm sure my frustrated still shined through. Im sure the patients waiting and the tech saw the same or the perception could have been its me, keep in mind I'm the only person of color so I have to keep calm, although after driving 2 hrs and knowing I will be traveling at an hr I'm not safe for myself. After being told I would not be seen, I come back with my Dr's office on the call to fax the order, she then tells me (very rudely), your appt was at 645, if I don't receive the paper within the 15 min grace time, you will need to reschedule, that went to 4 mins and the Dr's office could not believe how rude the receptionist was being. So I'm sure I won't be seen , but it's 730pm and I'm still here. So I will walk out now, I believe they close at 8. I looked at some of the reviews and a few people were met with the same unprofessionalism. Mind me sitting in the Lobby waiting for I don't know what, I see the treatment is not the same. I was met with please sit, I will call you up when I need you. I'm 64, she looks abt 20 something, so the disrespect makes it worst. When I say I just...let me not go to jail...I hope no one has to experience what I am experiencing now...so I'm leaving not knowing what the status is or any resolve. read more

I had to make an appointment here for a follow-up with my specialist and I thought that having an appointment would make it easier to get in and out. That was definitely not the case. My appointment was at 2:30 p.m. and I arrived at 2:00 p.m. to check in. Right when I walked in, I noticed a line of people waiting to get help and the entire room was filled with patients waiting for their turn. The waiting chairs they have are so tore up and the overall place looks really old and outdated. Their front desk staff are really unfriendly and don't provide you with any additional information as to how long the wait would be. I ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes until I was seen. I overheard from other patients that if they didn't have an appointment that the wait time was over 2 hours. I'm just glad I don't have to come here ever again. Save your time and go elsewhere. read more

What can one say about radiology? It's not exciting. You have to wait for results. No one gives you a wink wink you're gonna be ok. So it what it is. Having said that. The people here are very nice. The staff are efficient. The place is clean. And the techs get you in and out. Viola! Radiology review! Ta daa! read more

The horrible billing department for this one and many other radiology centers is Beverly Radiology billing -- it is a nightmare! Especially if you have good insurance with a second payer (Medicaid / Medi-Cal / TRICARE, etc.)! They will send you a bill ASAP saying you need to pay the remaining balance in full online, before they have even invoiced your second payer. I called for 3 months every week to get to re-bill the correct charge. I also asked to have a supervisor call me back (within a 48 hour turnaround) 4 times each week, with no return call. You are calling a black hole, the company doesn't care and doesn't change amid numerous name changes: Wave Imaging, RadNet Inc., West Coast Radiology Center, Santa Ana Radiology Center. Avoid if possible!! read more

The worst service. The ladies at the front desk really don't want to be there. MRI technician was good. They were backed up so she said the CD would take a while and to come back later. I came back the next day. And they still didn't have it. Said it would take 10 minutes to make one. It took 50 minutes. If you have other options for imaging. Use it. This place is terrible read more

Came here to get an X-ray done, walked in and right away the front desk employee (female Asian) was extremely rude. She asked me for my name and then gets on the phone and began to speak to someone. She then writes on a paper while on the phone, "you need to Waite 45 minutes " . After that, she hangs up and tells me "So are you going to Waite or leave"? (In a rude tone). While waiting i notice she was telling every single person (in a rude way) that the Waite was 45 minutes . My first time here and definitely my last. Her attitude and professionalism was the worst! The Manager needs to replace this lady. read more

Had an appointment, front staff were very disrespectful and hostile to my mother and I. I give a 2 star because for x-rays you can't make a appt. the front staff Is so rude ! My husband went inside to sign me in because of a sprained ankle and where giving him such a hard time ! Awful customer experience. Don't go here. It took months to get an available appointment. While waiting my insurance changed so I called them to give them my new insurance information. They said I was covered. Finally get to my appointment only to find they booked me in as Medicare patient. No way...I'm too young anyway. Gave them my new insurance card and front desk couldn't verify I would be covered so they gave me option to reschedule....REALLY!! for their mistake!! I already made arrangements at home to make this appointment, drove 30 mins and they were pushing me to reschedule...months later. No, wouldn't do it so I paid out of pocket. Got attitude from the 2 gals at the front desk. Very unprofessional and treated me badly as if it was my mistake. Also took 30 min phone call to get them to finally submit to insurance. Didn't want to do it after 90 days. My insurance allows claim submission for 1 year after service date. Poor customer experience and rude office staff. Save yourself some aggravation and go elsewhere. read more

First visit, I swung by to schedule a MRI. They were able to squeeze me in a few days later for a 9 pm appointment. I thought it weird to have an appointment so late, but it's actually quite relaxing. The lobby was empty and silent. Perfect! The staff were very helpful and got me in and out ASAP. As for the MRI, it sounded like I was in the engine of a diesel truck with beeps and gears going off all over the place. It's a bit loud, but they give you plenty of ear protection. The MRI took about 20 minutes, so prepare a few show tunes to keep your mind occupied while you lay down like a pig in a blanket. read more

This is the second time in 2 years I've had to accompany my grandfather to this facility to have work done. The first time was for an MRI and today, he had to get a chest x-ray done. The staff are just very caring, especially those actually performing the MRI and x-ray. The radiologist today was just immensely precise and made sure my grandfather didn't have to exert his 97 year old body more than he had to. Another thing is my grandfather can't stand on his own and needs assistance just going from his wheelchair to a chair so the radiologist was careful when moving him and was just superb. When my grandfather had his MRI done previously, the staff were also really attentive making sure he was comfortable etc. It's really hard to find people who care this much in the healthcare industry these days and I know! I used to do a lot of work with the healthcare industry and this place shines above all others. read more

Terrible place. Will never come back. My appointment was 3:30 PM, but I arrived 1 hr early because the receptionist told me over the phone that they had a spot at 2:30 PM since somebody did not show up when I called. However, I Had to wait for an hour, and they sad everybody showed up, so I had to wait until my appointment time. Even after 330 PM, they still asked me to wait. Very disappointed! I have an appointment at 10:35 for a chest X-ray. I came in early around 10:05. It's already 10:55, and they still haven't call my name. This company's operations is some serious nonsense. Tried to schedule an appointment for my father online, the system gave me an "error" message. I called to schedule over the phone was told no appt needed for xray even though I insisted on an appt. My father walked in bright and early next morning only to be given a qcode to schedule an appt. He brought it to me and of course once again the system was not working. I called again where they wanted to send me a link to set it up, NO HELP YOUR CLIENTS AND JUST SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT!! I can't imagine a senior having to deal with them alone! read more

Terrible. Made me pay upfront for my NT Ultrasound for my first trimester pregnancy and then the next day I find out from my doctor the ultrasound technician did not even do the full scan. The ultrasound technician, Diane, pretended everything was swell during the ultrasound and then I find out from my doctor that she did not even do the full scan. I paid for three blurry pictures and did not even get the essential scan I paid for. She made the excuse that I am too far along when I was not. This is a terrible imaging center. Please avoid. Blurry picture and they do not deliver on the service after charging you. read more

I came to this location because it is the only location that has a nurse to do IV preparation for procedures with contrast. Kristina, the nurse there, is a very experienced and friendly nurse. The MRI tech, Ray, and his co-MRI tech, who did MRI for me today are very professional and friendly. They all should get a raise because they are the only reason that I came back to this location. The front desk staff can be hit-or-miss depending on which receptionist. Most of receptionists are unfriendly and unhelpful but I was lucky today to be checked in by a nice receptionist. read more

This place deserves 0 stars, but I give it 2 for the kind, diligent radiologist. I was charged twice for my visit, but I did not know until I checked my credit card statement a few days later. Highly recommend to find someplace else to do your X-rays or bone scans. read more

I drove 30 min to this place and got there at 11, an hour before their lunch break 12-1pm). They wouldn't even give me the time of day and said to come back at 1pm after their lunch. Why post lunch hours if the *real* lunch hours start at least an hour before? read more

Referring to the 2nd floor receptionists* Horrible receptionists who talk amongst themselves when a patient is right in front of them. They only respond when they're done with their own conversation. Navigating WaveImaging / Radnet is worse than dealing with the DMV. Their websites aren't up to date, phone numbers don't work, front desk associates are paid nothing and rude. Nobody wants to be there, staff included. I've been driving around to various centers all day today trying to get a CT scan. First center made an error in the booking system and said they couldn't see me today, but said they were able to book me at another center the same day. I drive an hour away to another center. The 2nd center upon arrival they said my name was not in the system. I literally started crying. Their technician and front desk said there is nothing they can do. This is what happens when the government allows a giant company to buy up a bunch of regional imaging centers and instead of improving the experience, they don't invest in it and roll it up into some terrible company that dehumanizes people. I hope some private equity guy sleeps well in his 3rd vacation home knowing the monster he created that is preying on the sick who need medical help. I told my doctor about the issue and they said that the feedback is always negative for wave imaging/ Radnet, but sadly they are the only provider in the area as they bought all the places near us. read more

If you need OB ultrasounds, avoid this company! Terrible company. Scheduled my NT ultrasound (which must be done before 14 weeks) at the office in Santa Ana when I was 12 weeks, and they canceled the appointment the morning of because they didn't have a technician. Rescheduled the appointment and the earliest they had was 2 days before I reached 14 weeks at the office in Laguna Woods. I went to the appointment and the technician told me she was only qualified to do ultrasounds until 12 weeks, there was no technician who was qualified to perform the NT ultrasound. I explained to the receptionist that I needed the ultrasound performed in the next 2 days, she had the manager call me the next day and the manager said that there was only 1 technician who could perform this ultrasound (it sounded like she meant at any location) and she acted like the NT ultrasound was a very unique ultrasound that no one can do, which is weird because I'm pretty sure most pregnant women have this ultrasound done. Thankfully, I had called Magella Medical Group (https://www.mednax.com/practice/magella-medical-group-inc/locations/) after the failure with Radnet, and they were amazing! They were able to have a technician stay late and fit me in the very next day. Unfortunately, at the ultrasound, the technician said I was measuring at 14 weeks 3 days and the baby was now too big for the ultrasound. So due to Radnet's terrible service and ineptitude, I missed the window for this critical ultrasound. Avoid them at all costs! read more

I scheduled a mammogram with this place. Took time off work to get to my appointment on time only to be turned away by a rude and mannerless front desk girl named Petra L. I was told their call center made a mistake in scheduled a screening vs diagnostic mammo. If you cannot even schedule an appointment correctly, how can i entrust you with doing the exam properly. I leave a message for their Manager Salvadore and never hear back. Poor customer service at all levels. I can understand that mistakes happen but to not know how to speak to patients is unforgivable. Had a radiograph done here about June 21st. They would not do it without a doctor's specific order, but that wasn't a problem. The waiting room was full of people, but I was taken care of promptly around my appointment time. They promised to fax the results to the two doctor's offices when ready, probably that day. I followed up with the two doctor's offices today, and they never received anything. Maybe West Coast just forgot to send it. I would bet the farm they didn't forget to bill for it, though. I called West Coast medical records department and received a voicemail. Called back and the receptionist put me through to Ruiz in medical records who said the record had been faxed. I told him it was strange that two different offices are telling me they never received anything. Ruiz said he would fax it again. I reminded him there were two doctors that need to get it. In addition to the radiographs, actually getting the records to the intended place is part of the service. Something went wrong. When I send an important fax I call right away to confirm receipt. I would recommend West Coast to do that too. It's not that hard to do something right - it just takes a little more effort. read more

This complaint is for the department that handles MRI Appointments. I called last week to schedule an appointment for my MRI. The girl said that the authorization was still pending. So I called my doctor and they resubmitted my authorization. I called my West Coast this morning 7/25/16 and the girl said the authorization is still pending. She told me to call my doctor and insurance again. I called my insurance company immediately after and they said that the authorization was approved on 7/1. If West Coast was looking at the right system, they would have seen that it was approved. I did ask my insurance to fax a copy of the approved authorization to West Coast. I called West Coast again (approx. 1:15pm) immediately after I spoke to the insurance. I pushed ext. 2 for scheduling, ext. 1 to schedule MRI. The girl who answered the phone didn't say her name. After she asked me a series of questions, she tells me that I need a doctor's order and blood test before she can schedule me. I told her that this should have been told to me last week when I called. She was raising her voice and was very rude to me. She said I should know that. I told her I didn't know, but it should have been told to me the first time I called, which was last week. This girl continued to be rude and continued raising her voice. I called my insurance company and filed a complaint. This office and the staff are not professionals. The female staff have attitudes and they treat patients very badly.
