I would have only given one star except for the 3 good customer service people I have talked with. I have been talked down to on the phone. Ignored when I returned equipment (pre-covid). I was constantly having to phone in to be rebooted. My final bill was not complete so I owe them more. All in all. Go elsewhere. read more

I pay for a 1Gigabit service and most of the time I am lucky if I get 200Mbits This makes the service unusable. I have had to wait 5 days for an engineer to come out and tell me what I already know, they don't have the bandwidth and he admitted it won't improve. He advised me to keep complaining as that is the only way they will do something called node segmentation to make sure they are delivering what I am paying for. I work from home and are dependent on internet and this is totally unacceptable. Avoid Wave at all costs. They can't give you what they are selling. read more

Have you tried to get through to a live person lately? It's beyond ridiculous! I didn't need the modem reset and I know how to pay the bill which isn't cheap. The latter being the most important to them. But the annoying recording person does a reset anyway then you have to wait for them to call back. There is no option to speak with a tech agent before going through this waste of time. Speaking of wasting time, they finally called back, finally an option to speak with someone and I now have been on hold for 20 minutes with no end in sight. It must be nice to have too much business. I currently have CenturyLink as our internet provider and we are getting 5 Mbps when it works. Our internet service is horrible, intermittently it goes out and no-one can figure out why or they don't care. So as a result I called Wave even with their bad reviews they couldn't be worse then what I have experienced with CenturyLink internet service but I guess I was wrong. After filling out the contact information on line asking for Wave to come out to our address, Wave's automated response said we would be contacted in a few days, 2 weeks later no contact. So I'm guessing that Wave is as bad as the reviews demonstrate and we will continue to suffer poor internet service with CenturyLink. At least their employees are polite and professional, they just can't fix their system. read more

I'm trying to add new cable and internet to a house I just bought. I had an appointment to set it up yesterday, no one showed up or called. I called and was told their systems were down, someone will call me eventually to reschedule. I tried to call to reschedule this morning, but the auto prompts don't work and I was on hold for over an hour. While on hold I used FB messenger to get ahold of someone who claims I have an appointment tomorrow between 8:00am and 8:00pm. I had never been notified of this. Good thing I messaged or I wouldn't have known! We'll see if they show up tomorrow. I shudder to think how I'll be treated once I'm a customer if this is how they treat people trying to sign up for their service. read more

I wish it was possible to give zero stars for WaveG broadband. I had them for almost a year while living in Bellevue. I got really tired of their excuses that my performance problems (primarily maintaining a VPN connection and videoconferences through Zoom) were the result of my router. I purchased a new router and things might have gotten a little bit better, but not appreciably. But the real horror of Wave Broadband was when I moved back to Colorado. Customer service was some of the worst I've ever experienced. I scheduled service termination for the day after I moved out, but instead they cut me off in the middle of a client meeting without warning. It took me hours to get reinstated so I could finish out my week. Then when I finally moved, they charged me an extra month's service because I supposedly didn't give them proper lead time. Customer service argued with me about the validity of the charge, refused to give me the name of her supervisor so I could discuss it with a rational human being, then finally hung up on me! Unbelievable. If you are considering WaveG broadband, don't be fooled by the fast advertised speed. Look elsewhere for better customer service. read more

Second service person showed up today and was pretty much worthless! He said it was probably a splitter issue or just bad cable coming in but I would probably have to have the cable replaced but tearing apart my drywall and running new cable up five floors to my unit like one he worked in my building three years ago! My internet times out or drops extremely frequently. Replacing the router seems to be their only solution, and that hasn't fixed the problem. Streaming is unwatchable, video games are unplayable, even just surfing the web is a frustrating experience. I'll try to stream live sports and every five minutes it'll just freeze and spin for thirty seconds. It's a shame because I had CondoInternet (now Wave G) and it was excellent for three years straight, so I figured I would stick with Wave when I moved and no longer had WaveG, but Wave Broadband is just trash. Trash. Plain and simple. As icing on the cake, they somehow lost track of the WaveG router I swapped in and want to charge me $100 or so for it. Not happening. By the way, the average here should be one star. The only reason it's not is because of Art S.'s review, which is for WaveG not Wave Broadband. Don't get them mixed up! I am currently searching for a new, different provider. One month my bill increased a $100.00 a month. After calling the company my bill was lowered but not the $100.00. That was in January. I also requested to have the mailbox disconnected. This month my bill went up $40.00 a month. Last week my doctor tried calling me but couldn't get through, The message was my 'mailbox is full'. It is imperative I speak with my doctor when he tries calling me. Shortly after, my daughter tried calling and, again, she received the same message the 'mailbox is full'. This past week while watching TV, it went off 4 times. While it wasn't off for a long period of time, I missed the ending of a game show and movie. When I called to inquire about my high bill in January, I was told to call back in May for a better price, I called and spoke with Jackie and was told there was no special at this time. I am a senior citizen [77 y.o.] with many health problems and don't have the ability or time to put up with this stress. The 'front liners' ~ the ones who answer the main number ~ don't care about your situation. I'm living on social security and have care givers helping me. I have been with WAVE for 4 or 5 years and due to incidents, and lack of customer service over the past 6 - 12 months, I think it is time to move on. Unfortunately, service with WAVE is directly opposite of what they advertise. Even during this trying time with COVID-19, and staying home, they aren't willing to help their customers. read more

While the customer service is wonderful, I am very disappointed with the quality of my cable!! I lose service almost daily and sometimes, it cuts out many times per day!! I rely on this service to communicate with others, INCLUDING MY KIDS SCHOOL! I love in an area with no cell phone service. If my cable company is unreliable, so am i! With 3 kids in Elementary school, I need access to the phone and internet at all times!! About 4 times in the last 2 daus, everything has frozen up. Ugh. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my 53 years. I only have Internet and stream all my movies and TV shows. Most of the time I can watch in the evening without an issue. Quality of pictures pretty good. During the day when I'm trying to work from home we do have a lot of service drops. Of course this is partly due to the network being overloaded with lots of people working from home right now. Speeds are OK. Again the main issue here is customer service. If you have to reach them for any reason get ready for a nightmare experience. Also I tried to bump up to the highest speed with two different modems they recommended, which I purchased from Amazon, but neither of them worked. It was a three week ordeal and no one would take accountability and I was billed incorrectly for faster speed I didn't have. It's almost like they don't want my service. I wish I had more options, but living where I do, it's limited. read more

WORST customer service I have ever experienced! Have been using their service for almost two years now, and the lack of service showed up pretty much from the beginning. Called to inform I'm leaving my apt next week and need to disconnect and schedule pick up of the equipment. At first, the CS rep sent me to return the a equipment at "the nearest store". Then, he offered to send me a prepaid mailing slip. After insisting of someone to come and pick it up (I think it is a basic thing for such type of service) and wait on the line for about 5 minutes, he said he'll schedule a pickup for the same day I asked the disconnection. Time frame? The whole day! Do they really think the only thing I have to do on the day I'm moving out is sit all day and wait for their tech guy to come??? Asking to speak with a supervisor cost me another almost 10 minutes, followed by the obvious "there's no free SV to take your call right now" (I'm guessing they're too busy extinguish other fires...) and they will call back in 2 hours... We moved to Whidbey Island into an 18 year old house that used Wave Broadband. I called a month before we moved to set up the installation. When they came to install they informed us we would have to wait 2 to 6 weeks to have phone, internet and tv because it wasn't installed right. THEY INSTALLED IT BEFORE. If they had competition they would care about their customers. Do you know how impossible life is without internet in 2020? This is a MANAGEMENT problem. We had Comcast where we used to live. Absolutely not worth the headache. In the year 2019, this company uses a door tag to notify you they're disconnecting your service because of signal static leakage on your line. No call, no text, no email, not even a knock on the door. Found the tag in the garden the next day actually, so they can't even do that right. The first call to customer service was also horrifically bad. We were advised that the problem was likely a faulty modem. The operator apparently had no knowledge of the suspended service. It took a second 45min long phone call to figure out what happened, and routing up through 2 customer service managers to get them to send a tech out with an 8hr. window! (a laughable margin) So a total of 4 days with no service. I am astounded (pun intended) how a company this poorly run, can exist. I'm actively researching options, and cannot wait to cancel my contract. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Absolutely garbage customer service. Seriously, it's so bad you will be asking yourself if you are being scammed. I was moving away and needed to cancel my service; I started calling wave 7 days before I needed my service canceled. I called everyday at varying times of the day only to receive the message: "we are experiencing abnormally high call volume, your hold time may exceed 20 minutes". 20 minutes? Not that bad. I was on hold for over an hour every time before wave DROPPED MY CALL OFF THE LIST. For 7 days. In a row. I wouldn't call that abnormal in any definition of the word - thats consistently awful service. I was a wave customer for 4 years. Never missed a payment. Was never even close to being late. And this is how they will treat you. Absolutely embarrassing. So terrible that I was actually thinking I was being scammed - that it would be impossible to cancel my service because there is no way to contact them. After 10 days (3 days after I left the address I was paying for) I waited 45 minutes in the "chat queue" to have a text message chat with someone who, through the grace of the lord almighty, was actually able to do a simple task like canceling my service. Honestly the most shameful behavior of a company I've ever seen. Complete disregard for their customers once they have your money. You couldn't pay me to have them as my provider again. read more

Wave is a mess, and it really is too bad. There are no contracts with Wave. They advertise this. You can change or cancel at any time. Wave has severe issues with customer service however, tech home service is usually very good. When agents yell and shame you then, it is time to go. The sales person we had recently actually changed our bundle without our permission. Please understand, this company is not truthful and they hide almost every fee and tax because they know your stuck. There is no advantage to keep them. New customers get their good deals because those of us who have been with Wave pay for it. Our bill goes up every month, and I mean every month. For example we went from $156.00 to 189.00 one year. Wave told us it was taxes and fees. Over $30.00 in taxes and fees? Really? In a year? As well we have pixilated TV viewing often. There so called Wave 100 is NOT mbps. It is less than 5. I have had this cable since it was broadstripe, and pay my bill automatically. The bill went up 10 dollars a month when they took over. I DID get a promotional plan that was less cost then a regular, but now, at the end of that contract period i will be paying another 10 because they've "hooked" me now so no need to offer a discount. They are the only provider for my area. A online "tv guide" that the Broadstripe company had available for the cost you paid now isn't accurate, showing only the old channel numbers, which I have had to print out and pencil in a cross-reference chart so i can go watch a show on the actual channel number. Bottom line is that I'm paying for their plethora of TV ads at the increased rate of 20 per month, and actually getting less (no online tv guide - but oh, that IS available if I rent another box from them). NO benefit to a long term customer whatsoever. On the slight bit of a plus side, internet and tv do seem a tad more reliable than a year ago or so with the old company, but still - hardly justifies my paying 20 dollars more per month. read more

It would be one thing if it was just at our house but it is unreliable for all of our friends, it is unreliable at my work and also my husband's work....ridiculous! We pay good money for our internet. Unfortunately, we live in an area with a wave monopoly...so not only do we have the joy of paying for Internet that does not work at least 3-4 nights a week, we get to pay for data overages too! I am underwhelmed so far with Wave. I am considering switching to Wave from Frontier and Dish so I filled out a form on Wave's web site giving details of the service I currently have and asking for a quote for comparable service from them. I received an e-mail giving me a name and phone number to call to answer my questions. I replied suggesting that I should not have to repeat to someone else the information I already gave them and asked them to forward my e-mail to the person they wanted me to call. They responded that they would do that. That was a week ago. Update. Never heard back so I went back to the on line form. I have now filled out an internet form with my location and contact information. The site said I would be contacted within two business days advising if service is available. No response so I filled out the form a second time as it was over the Christmas holiday. No response. I sent an e-mail stating my displeasure and received an e-mail response saying service is not available in my area. Neighbors on either side of my home (not miles away a couple hundred feet away) have Wave. I called Wave and was told that service was not available. I informed the person of the fact that neighbors have Wave and was told they would send someone out to check and if it was available they would give me a date to install service. I asked what service. I have never talked to anyone at Wave about what service they have or what I want but I was told they would set a date for installation. I am not anticipating a return call from them based on experience so far and told the person I talked with that I have concerns as to what customer service I might get after I'm a customer if this is what I get when they don't have my business. Horrible customer service both in office and over the phone. I have had problems for months with them and nobody can seem to give me answers. I finally went into the office and was told a few things but mostly to go home and call in. Why do you even supply a office space if the employees working there say they can give you "Absolutely no information about your account". When I called in everything I was told was contradicting to what I was told in office. These people need to educate their employees, and if they don't know how or why something was done don't give excuses just fix it. Super easy fix and they could have kept a customer.
