My experience with Black Hills, Inc. was exceptional from beginning to end…read more It began with Devin, who serviced our HVAC systems and recommended the installation of a split unit in our sunroom. From there, David Griffis took the time to provide thorough information and answer all of our questions. He was consistently helpful, knowledgeable, and highly professional throughout the entire process. Melissa did an excellent job coordinating and scheduling the installation team. One aspect of their communication that particularly stood out was the consistent updates provided through both text and email, including photographs of the technicians and notifications regarding their arrival times. This level of professionalism and customer service was truly impressive. Brian and his assistant arrived promptly, conducted themselves courteously, and completed the split unit installation efficiently and professionally. Joshua, the electrician, and his assistant then completed the electrical work seamlessly. Overall, this team of professionals provided us with an outstanding temperature control system that we will greatly enjoy in our sunroom. To further demonstrate their appreciation for their customers, they even sent us a thoughtful gift afterward. We highly recommend them.

Matthew Woodriff was amazing - he not only did incredible work, truly taking pride in his work (even bragging to my detail loving husband about how perfectly even his wires were, which made my husband a very happy man) but he worked all day in the rain and returned early on a Saturday to finish the job. He's truly a perfectionist. He's what everyone should want in an electrician. We'll hire him for every single electrical job from now on. And I highly suggest you do the same! Small town local business, run by him and his wife. Clearly dedicated to quality and determined to serve our community for the long term. If you have any electrical needs - these guys should be your go to.

They gave me an written estimate for service of $300 and once they got here and saw that a line…read morewould need to be run they increased it to $680. The tech who was very nice said it was because of a miscommunication at the office. I asked if they might be able to lower that to $500 and he went outside and called the owner. When he came back in, he said it would be $1100. I told him no thank you and I was going to get other bids. Then he asked me for $250 for coming out and so I wrote him a check. I spoke to a woman named Jen from the office and she said yes it was a miscommunication but to go from $300 to $680 before taxes to then $1100 feels pretty unethical to me. If you make a mistake in your bidding process at your office, have some integrity and accept responsibility and meet somebody in the middle.
