The tech showed up and confirmed that he was testing for air leaks in our pump. Then he realized he didn't have the right size gasket for our brand of pump, so he couldn't perform the test. He assured us we wouldn't be charged for the $150 service call. About an hour later, I realized the charge had appeared on our bank statement. My husband called and left a message - but the owner called ME back instead. The guy was a complete jackass to me over the phone. He kept interrupting me and talking to me condescendingly. He also said that anytime a service truck so much as leaves their premises, the customer gets charged for the service call. I asked him why I should pay for a service call when I received no service, and he claimed that nobody had written down the reason for the service guy to come over. Which is ridiculous. (Why would anyone have come over without knowing what we needed them to do? Anyway, the service guy TOLD us why he was there as soon as he stepped out of his truck.) Then, for some reason, he asked me to describe what the service guy looked like. I hung up on him at that point and told my husband to call him. After my husband threatened to complain to the BBB or perhaps even file a complaint for theft, the owner agreed to refund the service charge. He did tell my husband that he was going to take the money out of the service guy's check - which is illegal. If he did, I hope the employee reports him to the cops and the National Labor Relations Board. The owner of Cincinnati Pool and Patio is a dishonest creep. Stay away from this business.

Our chemicals & water are is great shape. Our leak is a known hot tub issue. What upsets me is fact that this leak was not any fault of ours on AND trip charge is $149 up to 20 miles and $3.0 every mile after! ( sorry but we purchased from you; if traveling is an issue then I'd say DO NOT SELL out of you area! Our trip charge was $242 + service charge 1 hour $120 and part $35... total $424.79.. that is not a price you'd think of receiving when it's under warranty! After making a few calls and explaining this, no one seems to care! With that said I wouldn't buy from them nor recommend! I bought this for health reasons; I'm in total shock And very upset! ( how can a garage door company just down street from them only charge $178 for a trip charge and not price gauge you for not having their product!!? or being out of their range for service?!)

Review update based on work completed: I can not say enough about how professional, quick,…read morefriendly and knowledgeable this company is. They did not install the original cover, there are very few companies who do this in Cincinnati. When our box was taken apart, we could see the issues we were dealing with, and the original company didn't necessarily do everything in the best practice way. We actually put a call into them when we first had the issue and are still waiting on a return call back. That was 3 weeks ago. Luckily Rileys pools passed along a recommendation for Cover Care. They were here early, with 3 men who quickly replaced our system. They were honest and knowledgeable when a small issue came to light. Instead of just doing the work , they came to us, explaining situation. This probably cost them a little more time and expense, but they did it right. We honestly wouldn't have known the difference, so are grateful for that. The lead time wasn't a big wait, as they said they have a large inventory and warehouse and most things, even motors, are kept in stock. Large ticket expenses are nerve wracking, but at least we know in this case, we got our money worth.
