Excellent service! Fast and easy to deal with, I am by far not a handy man and there's a lot of…read morethings I'm not comfortable doing around my house and these guys take care of it no problem. It's nice that one company can take care of your house from top to bottom. I initially called about about getting my deck ready for winter (which they quickly took care of) and once I talked to the rep who came to my house I realized I had about 4 more things around the house they could help me with and all of them were fixed quickly. I'll never call another repair man again all I have to do is call them and they already know who I am and know my house and they're there!

We had a very bad experience with this company and write this review to warn others to be careful…read more Like other reviews I have read we contacted this company with specific work we wanted done and after a walk through they convinced us that other work needed to be done. Unfortunately it turned out some of this did not need to be done. First, we received a very high quote to do our deck and when we asked for a breakdown we were told it needed to be stripped first -- this seemed odd so we didn't have it done. We have been able to get it done for less than half of what we were quoted and that individual did not strip the deck. Second, the estimator told us that our windows needed to be caulked and we trusted him and agreed to have that done. When Maintain First workers came they asked my wife what we wanted to have caulked because it didn't look like it was needed. Unfortunately, when I checked the windows, the worker was correct - the windows didn't need to be caulked. Third, we asked to have the mold/mildew off the gutters. The gutters on two sides of the house are easy to get to and the gutters on the other two sides are difficult to get to. Remarkably, the two sides of the house where it is easy to get to the gutters are clean. On the other two sides of the house the gutters were not cleaned and the worker told us he tried but his cleaner wouldn't work". Our deck is on one of these sides, so we got a step stool and wiped the gutter with rag and bleach and it came completely clean immediately. In the spring we will pay to have this done correctly Fourth, our toilet was running and we had them put in new guts. Unfortunately, within 6 weeks the toilet was leaking and the tank would not fill back up with water; and we had a plumber come and look at it. He replaced all the parts and told us that inferior products had been installed and that's why they failed. Finally, we wanted the windows washed and when they came to wash the windows the worker only wanted to do the outside of the windows because the contract we signed only specified washing the outside of the windows. He produced a copy of the contract and when we compared it to the original contract that we kept in a file - the two contracts were different. Their copy of the contract indicated that we only wanted the outside of windows done and my copy of the contract did not specify "exterior only" - it merely indicated that the windows were to be washed. So please keep your original contract handy.

They didn't show up on their appointments t rescheduled date. Once they were late I texted them for their ETA and they said their truck wouldn't start, but they would for sure be there tomorrow. Tomorrow came and again they were a no show for the third time in a row. Again no call or text in advance of their appointment time saying they wouldn't be coming. Totally unreliable and unprofessional.

Two years ago Custom Carpentry built us a new deck. It looked good and sturdy, although I wasn't…read morepleased with a couple of their design choices, or how long it took for them to finish it. We had the deck stained by a professional using a very high quality stain after about 9 months. But now the deck looks like it is 20 years old.....most of the boards have split or warped. Many nails have popped, and most are rusted. The spacing between the floor boards is uneven. Sap is oozing out in large amounts on the face boards. Maybe they used poor quality wood and rushed through some of the construction.,,they definitely didn't use good rust-proof nails. Whatever the reasons, I couldn't recommend them and wouldn't hire them again.

Not only were they punctual, but the concern and flexibility revolving around their standard of what "works best for the customer" was outstanding. Communication was exemplary.
