We recently did a partial kitchen remodel that included granite countertops . Our contractor recommended Arco Iris, which turned out to be a great choice. We visited their showroom to look at different slab options, including their collection of "orphans" that are available at extremely competitive prices. We were trying to match specific colors and didn't find the right one, so Charlie referred us to some other granite dealers in the area, where we found the perfect fit for our project. One of the crew came out to take measurements, and then we were able to schedule the installation to fit our very busy schedules. They did superb work, pricing was very reasonable, and Charlie was easily accessible and super responsive throughout the entire process. We could not be more happy with our countertops. From start to finish Charlie and his team made the process easy- always responsive and accommodating. There was an error on my part (as in- I never told them ‍) that led to the island countertop being delivered and installed with a different edge. Charlie and his team removed the countertop- fixed it- and brought it back the next day. For no charge. He did not have to do it-- and he did it well and quickly! Our counters are PERFECT! No stars or negative stars if the system allowed Contracted for the kitchen and bathroom countertops (~$4k). Picked, what Charlie Schneider said, was one of his most expensive Quartz (used the Chantilly sample to choose and it was beautiful). No one mentioned the sample may NOT remotely match the slab. Thx installed quartz is 90% with extremely limited areas right pattern. When we did our old house with CounterTops By Design the countertop matched the sample perfectly. Contacted Charlie to get to the manufacturer (HanStone) to understand why the sample we were shown doesn't come close to the actual product but he will return communicate truth us. I would strongly advise you to consider another provider if quality and valve for your money are important. P.S. the plant manager said Chantilly was not even close to one of their expensive pieces. We purchased a marble remnant in Autumn 2018 for a bathroom countertop. I intended to do this review sooner, but admit after I came to do so and saw some very negative reviews, I decided to hold off on my review and make sure nothing weird happened. I am pleased to share that our countertop still looks just as beautiful as when it was installed. Working with Charlie was easy - from picking out the remnant, to having the measurements done and arranging installation, and the stone looks gorgeous. Worst service, damaged granite during installation and poor installation with wide seams, Charlie stole our second purchased slab and claimed it was destroyed without reimbursement. We could easily take them to court, but instead we are cutting our losses. We are warning others of their horrible professionalism, etiquette and installation. STAY AWAY! Worst experience of my life. This big bully Charles has no professionalism whatsoever and is a crook. He does not know how to run a business. I had granite installed in my kitchen. The seam was awful and on the edge of the dishwasher! He glued the dishwasher to the countertop! So when I had to buy a new dishwasher, they could not get it out. The seam is uneven and catches all of the food when prepping meals. It's just a joke. Also, No wood supports under the sink mount. The sink FELL in the middle of the night and I found it down in the under the sink cabinet! Had to get it fixed by a better, reputable granite company. The granite a year later has cracks, divots and looks awful. Horrible job, he threatened to sue me of course, like he does everyone, and just shows up at your house unannounced. He is a bully! Seriously the worst installation I've ever seen on a kitchen. Bad seems, cracked granite during installation and put it in anyway, did not install reinforcements for 2 and half foot overhang. We made a template that should have been one piece and ordered two slabs to make it happen and they installed it as two pieces anyway and kept the second slab for himself (Charlie). Our experience with owner Charles Schneider and his company Arco-Iris Granite, LLC has absolutely been the WORST experience of our lives. We have hired many companies to do various jobs around our home from roofing and siding, to plumbing, and even an electrician - and never had any problems. In 2012 we hired Arco Iris to install granite in our kitchen. When Mr. Schneider was seeking to earn our business, he was polite, answered all of our questions and said "yes" to all of our requests, so we hired him. It was only after the installation began that we realized his politeness was really just the carefully practiced disguise of a snake oil salesman - and that him saying "yes" to our requests did not actually mean he intended to meet our requests. For example, he promised to properly support our under-mounted sink with brackets, sand smooth the underside of the granite on our kitchen bar and that the seams in our granite would be "invisible" - none of this turned out to be true. What was worse, there were glaring defects in workmanship such as the countertops not fully covering our cabinets and the granite backsplashes not fully covering the new countertops. During the installation, we immediately called Mr. Schneider as we saw these problems arising - but he refused to return our calls. Then, when his workers reported they were "finished" and we said we were not happy with the work, they told us there was nothing they could do - that we would have to "talk to Charles". At that point, we informed them we would not be paying them the other half of the contract amount until the work was completed as promised and to our satisfaction - so they left. This prompted a surprise visit to our home by Mr. Schneider at 9pm that same night. He stormed into our house, agitated from the moment we opened the door to him, took one look at the work his men had done in our kitchen, and then proceed to yell and scream at us and demand we pay him for his "perfect job" or else he would file a lien against our home. It was completely appalling how unprofessional this Jekyll and Hyde became when there was a problem with his company's work. To make a long story short, he did file a lien against our home, we filed a lawsuit against him (learned then that he has been involved in MANY lawsuits against him and his company) and after three years we finally got all of his crappy work replaced in our kitchen at the expense of Arco-Iris Granite. Take our advice, save yourself the years of frustration and attorney's fees - do not hire Arco-Iris to install granite for you, and do not hire its owner, Mr. Charles Schneider, for ANY reason read more

STAY AWAY! This company installed granite in our kitchen and it looks TERRIBLE! Things are crooked, not properly seamed and there are cracks in our granite which we were told we had accepted would be okay when we signed the contract. When we complained, the owner (Charlie) denied there was anything wrong with the work his men did and demanded full payment while yelling at us in our kitchen. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They do shoddy work and then try to hide behind their contract and bully you into accepting their terrible work! read more

I would give negative stars if I could. I hired them to do an 80 sq ft kitchen & a 16 sq ft laundry room counter from a remnant. They tried to squeeze all of this from 2 slabs with a known imperfection in the corner...& wouldn't you know it...they put that imperfection right across my counter after I asked them multiple times to avoid it. They "forgot" the laundry room piece & never delivered it with no refund either. Their work was shotty at best & pathetic in most instances. I have crooked seams that were sanded to fit, chips with fill throughout (a 2 x 1 1/2 inch area in front of my sink!)...just a mess!! and they left a mess as well...glue all over my cabinets & a layer of dust throughout my house. I have depended on Charlie to design a number of granite items for me over the past couple of years. He made my granite counter tops in the kitchen, along with a granite table top, also, for the kitchen. They installed a one inch plywood support board on the bottom side of the granite table top, along with four stainless table legs. Charlie also made a very nice Lazy Susan to match the granite that was used on the kitchen table. They replaced three bathroom laminate counter tops with granite. I have a large coffee table with cast iron legs and a wood top...I just recently replaced the wood top with a beautiful piece of granite. I could not be happier with the various patterns of granite that I selected, with Charlie's help, for each job...and the quality of the workmanship has been the best. I have always been impressed with the quick turn-a-round time, the reasonable pricing and the excellent, professional installation for all of the granite tops. I recommend Arco-Iris to my friends who are interested in purchasing granite. Don't hesitate to check out Arco Iris when it comes to granite. You won't be disappointed. DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. We used this company to install granite counter tops in our house to help sell our house. This company installed granite counter tops in our house on Friday and called us later that day to say the granite was installed and looked great. I come home to find multiple damage to our walls and cabinets. We also noticed a large crack in the backsplash of our granite, the sink was not aligned, there was a large and noticeable indentation of the granite where they attempted to align two pieces of granite. All of these issues were addressed with the owner of the company and he reassured us multiple times that he would take care of all of these damages. We knew that these damages could not be fixed in one day and that it would be impossible to match the paint on the 3 walls they damaged. We even mentioned getting the holes and personal damage fixed over the weekend, since we wanted everything done properly as our house is listed on the market for sale. The owner again reassured us that they would be back on Monday and everything would be fixed. Monday was another HUGE disappointment with this company. They did NOT fix the indentation, they fixed the crack with a new seam instead of replacing the piece of backsplash, they mudded the holes, did NOT sand any of the patch work down, and then painted all of the damage with a paint that did NOT match our kitchen walls at all. The owner was again notified and stated that their work is complete at our house and is now threatening us with a lien on our house (the lien he is threatening is higher than the price we even owed him). He admitted fault and has now changed his story multiple times. He has sent us very unprofessional emails calling our family members derogatory names. We spent the ENTIRE 4th of July weekend removing their patch work, re mudding their damage, and then re painted our entire kitchen. I have contacted the BBB and filed a complaint and also noticed this company has 6 other complaints against them. Please take our advice and DO NOT use this company. I wanted to replace the dated counter tops in my kitchen with granite but didn't know where to start. After talking to several kitchen modernizing companies I decided to go with Arco-Iris Granite and I'm glad I did. Not only does the owner, Charlie,oversee a team of dedicated, skilled professionals but he has a tremendous knowledge of granite and the granite industry. Through his contacts I was able to visit several granite wholesale houses and pick the individual slabs of stone for my project - and I'm convinced it was at a lower than retail cost. Guided by Charlies expert advice I settled on an exotic variety that perfectly complements the colors in my kitchen. The entire project was completed without any issues and finished on-time and in-budget. I've had lots of positive comments on the beautiful installation and on the granite itself.
