A Frustrating First Experience at Watson Recycling
Our first visit to Watson Recycling today was incredibly frustrating and left a very poor impression. We brought in over 500 lbs of heavy metal, including old tennis court poles and a bed frame.
The issues began at the scale. The employee initially claimed our load wouldn't meet the 300 lb minimum and instructed us to unload it just past the scale. After we emptied everything, we re-weighed, and the total was indeed over 500 lbs.
Unnecessary Reruns and Missed Appointments
Despite the accurate weight, the employee then demanded we reload all the materials, re-weigh, and then dump them again just to get a weigh slip and payment. We tried to resolve this with the office, but they simply sent us back to the same employee, who gave us the same unhelpful instructions.
With a doctor's appointment looming in 20 minutes, we simply didn't have time to go through this entire, unnecessary process again. Had the employee properly weighed our load the first time, this entire ordeal could have been avoided.
Unprofessional Conduct and Lack of Empathy
This experience felt incredibly unprofessional. It honestly felt like a deliberate tactic to complicate the process, perhaps for their own benefit, and it's disheartening to see a business treat hard-working people this way. We will not be returning to Watson Recycling. read more
