Friendly. Good packers. We thought we needed two trucks but they got all our stuff in one. I recommend.

The notion to move…read moreall my items from California is a big mess, but I was referred to Matt's Moving company from my buddy who convinced me to move to Minnesota. This was my first time using a moving company and it by far was better than I ever imagined. All my items were delivered in perfect condition and they even unpacked my items in their respected rooms. After I got all my items, all I had to do was put things in the shelves, and my house was finished. Talk about a very easy process! God bless Matt's team. I hate moving, but using Matt's Moving service it made it a lot by 1000%.

Our move was scheduled to start at 10:00 am on a Saturday morning. The night before our move, in…read moreJanuary in Minnesota, we got 8-10 inches of snow. The movers were coming to our town from 30 miles away. We were advised at 9:30 am that the movers and truck would be 1 hour late, arriving at 11:00 am. They stated they were having engine trouble and the truck wouldn't start. We understood, this is cold MN in the winter. We agreed this was fair, knowing the road conditions would improve also in another hour. 11:00 am rolled around...no movers. We called customer service. We ended up being told they would arrive at 12:00 pm. This was starting to press our timeline, as we were supposed to be out of the house by 3:00 pm. We reluctantly agreed, what else could we do? Well, 12:00 pm rolled around...still no movers. We called again. My husband ended up in a heated discussion with customer service. We were told they would call us back... they crew was still figuring out their engine issues. At this point, I offered to drive to Rochester to rent a U-Haul if the moving crew would just show up at my house in whatever vehicle they could to load said truck. Customer service told me that wasn't necessary. (Boy, were they wrong!). We went around and around with customer service 3 or 4 times. Eventually we were told that they were sending a completely different truck and crew from the Twin Cities and they would arrive by 4:00 pm. 4:00 pm?!? We were supposed to be out of our house at 3:00 pm! Well, one thing let to another and we moved what we could in our own vehicles...we had already wasted all morning waiting on the crew, we didn't want to waste the whole afternoon as well! Come a few minutes before 4:00 pm, the truck showed up. These guys, by no fault of their own, were already tired. They said they'd already done a full move in the Twin Cities that day and then got sent to our house. Seriously?! I hope they got a huge bonus! Bless their hearts, they worked their butts off!! BUT... we didn't get out of the first house until almost 7:00 pm and didn't get moved into the new house (7 city blocks away) until after 9:00 pm...we were supposed to be done by 4:00 pm! I was in tears, my husband was beyond upset. This was supposed to be a happy, carefree, easy move for us! I called customer service on Monday and asked how they were going to make this right, as customer service on Saturday told us there would be a "significant decrease in the amount due". Well, our bank account got charged the entire $750. When I spoke with the person who could "make it right" they offered me a 5% refund, then a 10% refund, and then settled on their "best offer" of a $100 refund. I took the $100, hoping for no more whammies! Long story short, I can't say I would ever recommend this company. I was not pleased with anything but how hard their crew worked, once they finally arrived. But, I suppose we'll always be able to hold onto the memories of what a nightmare this move was... and hopefully someday we can laugh about it!

The negatives of their service ended up overshadowing the positives…read more 1. My cat went missing. I told the owner right away that my cats were in the bathroom. He didn't tell the crewman, and one was let out and went missing. My friends and I spent 3 hours looking for my cat. It was very distressing for all of us. 2. They were not honest with the price they would charge. We communicated up-front that we had larger pieces, we gave them a list of the pieces, lived on the second floor, and the date was a holiday. Their website says $90 per hour, but they charged us $250 per hour. When they say they may adjust the price, make sure you know upfront. They never communicated to us an honest cost beforehand, that stairs would cost more, and that working on a holiday would cost more. We would have chosen another date, we were flexible. They said we just did the date you said you wanted and that's what we charged for working on a holiday, but they never told us beforehand. If that's what they want to charge, that's fine, but you need be up-front with it so that person has a choice to take their business elsewhere. They did do a good job with the moving aspect. They packed things well. They showed up and let us know they were running late. We were very polite to the movers, they never complained to us about the job, we did ask at the end why they charged us that much, but we weren't mean about it or anything like that. We bought them water. We just had standard furniture, like dressers, beds, and shelves. Our new home was about 5 miles away, so they didn't have to travel far. Nothing other movers had issues with in the past.

Worked together well and went above and beyond to make her move smooth. I needed to leave and they reassured me that they wouldn't leave until her new place felt like home. And that meant arranging and setting up her entire apartment. My aunt was beaming...what a way to start her new home adventure in such a positive way. Besides the move they took her broken and outdated appliances and graciously took her items no longer needed because of downsizing to goodwill. Wow, again...going above and beyond! Thanks Leon and George, you do a great job and we highly recommend you! Please give them a call...

He and his teams on both ends were phenomenal. Our move was layered with several things that caused us a lot of stress, and Chris went above and beyond to help and accommodate. He was awesome! He was thorough, took his time, showed he cared by sitting down with me and explaining how the do their estimates and how the move process goes. He responds quickly to email and truly the nicest estimator I'd worked with (I had about 5 different people come to our 1 bedroom apartment) and had estimates over the phone. He offered any available boxes they had including medium and large moving boxes, wardrobe boxes (3), and TV boxes (2) for FREE. This was a huge reason why I chose them as well since these boxes can get ridiculously expensive. Some were used boxes and some were new, but all were in excellent condition. He even showed us how to assemble the wardrobe box. The movers came in a big North American Van Lines semi and was able to park in a really tight space behind our apartment building. I was super impressed with Fabian our mover and primary contact from that point. He was very fast and strong and efficient--you could tell he had 15 years of experience. They took down all big furniture (bed frame, etc) and provided all materials for packing such as big blankets, stretch wrap, etc. Pick up was on May 17. Our estimated window of delivery was between May 23 and June 7 when we first booked with the company. We were informed of the actual delivery date on pick up date which was May 24 and they delivered on time, as scheduled. They reassembled everything they took apart and were very organized in unloading. I would highly recommend Piepho (working with Fran) and Fabian (mover) for anyone making a big move. NONE of our furniture or belongings were damaged, NOTHING was missing. Also the price was excellent! One of the best estimates I received, and the final cost came in UNDER THE ESTIMATE by about $250 which was awesome. They let me pay on the day of delivery via credit card over the phone with no additional charge for using a credit card (as some companies do). I would use them again in a heartbeat for any of my future moves!!!
