I believe that Habitats Restore Store will pick up donated furniture but rightly so, they have criteria for what they accept and I wasn't sure what things of mine could be donated to them and what needed to be junked. I got the name of Junk Pros from the Restore Store and I was so impressed with Junk Pros service. They took away my old furniture, brought it to the Habitat for Humanity Restore Store to see what they would take as a donation and the rest they hauled away for junk. He didn't tell the crewman, and one was let out and went missing. My friends and I spent 3 hours looking for my cat. It was very distressing for all of us. 2. They were not honest with the price they would charge. We communicated up-front that we had larger pieces, we gave them a list of the pieces, lived on the second floor, and the date was a holiday. Their website says $90 per hour, but they charged us $250 per hour. When they say they may adjust the price, make sure you know upfront. They never communicated to us an honest cost beforehand, that stairs would cost more, and that working on a holiday would cost more. We would have chosen another date, we were flexible. They said we just did the date you said you wanted and that's what we charged for working on a holiday, but they never told us beforehand. If that's what they want to charge, that's fine, but you need be up-front with it so that person has a choice to take their business elsewhere. They did do a good job with the moving aspect. They packed things well. They showed up and let us know they were running late. We were very polite to the movers, they never complained to us about the job, we did ask at the end why they charged us that much, but we weren't mean about it or anything like that. We bought them water. We just had standard furniture, like dressers, beds, and shelves. Our new home was about 5 miles away, so they didn't have to travel far. Nothing other movers had issues with in the past.

In the past, Waste Management picked up our trash and recycles very late around 4:00 pm, which…read moreannoyed me because LRS and Harter's Disposal have already picked up their garbage bins in morning hours. Our neighbors already put their bins away in their garages whereas we are still waiting for WM trucks to arrive. I felt ashamed when our bins were still sitting on the driveway. The best thing now is Waste Management has changed the pick-up schedule for the drivers in my neighborhood. Do you know what? My trash is picked up between 10:00 am and 10:30 am. Also, Waste Management never misses any pickups for my house. I don't understand why other people claim that their trash and recycling are not picked up. My house has got annual contracts with Waste Management because it's cheaper than paying quarterly bills. We get some discounts that help us lower the costs, ending up cheaper than other trash companies charging quarterly.

Waste Management tried to charge me more than $200 after I moved, all for picking up their own…read morebins. They billed me $75 per bin, even though the cart removal fee is supposed to be $75 for both bins. I didn't even notice the double charge until I called (I figured it was just $75/bin), and the first thing they tried to do was quietly remove only the duplicate amount. I ended up talking to four different people, including a supervisor. The first two reps kept insisting the fee was mandatory and unavoidable. One rep even told me the solid waste tax and environmental service surcharge were to cover gas for the truck, which is absolutely not what those fees are. They only removed the entire bill after I escalated it again and brought up the legal issues with charging a fee for a service I had no option to decline. It should not take that much effort to fix something this obvious. For the entire service (I had them for 4 years under two different address), the monthly bill for a trash bin and a recycling bin ranged between $20-$45/month. Tbh I don't remember if they charged a fee to drop off the bins but I'm assuming so. From my memory of the last two years, outside of holidays, the trucks were 1-2 days late probably around 35% of the time. A handful of times, they just never showed up that week and everyone in my complex had to wait til the next week to have trash collected. They don't tell you if they'll be late or will miss pickup unless it's a holiday, so it's a guessing game. Just for the crazy pickup fees and runarounds they discreetly give for canceling service, I would never sign up with them again.
