The maitre'd that led us through our initial tour no longer works at English Manor, but that was no issue whatsoever. Marlyn picked up like she had been with us from the very beginning. EVERY email was answered with ease IN THE MOST TIMELY OF FASHIONs, and all concerns (really more so questions) were addressed. Our details meeting was so thorough and I went into our day feeling completely confident that my vision would come to life. IT DID AND THEN SOME. Again, I truly believe this was all because of Marlyn and Jen. I am Type A, so this was something I was very concerned about. From the minute we set foot on the venue property the morning of our wedding until the minute we left we were absolutely blown away. Marlyn and Jen were just so above and beyond anything we could have ever imagined. I would've had Marlyn at my wedding as a guest because I love her so much. I went through my day stress free without any type of professional coordinator (which was shocking for me!). marlyn handled absolutely every single detail and issue that arose. (Again, none of which were her fault lol.) Marlyn walked around with me, carried my bouquet, made sure my phone got to my good friend to snap some photos, made sure I had a drink in my hand every minute I wanted it, and just thought of absolutely everything. She even SCRUBBED the dirt off my dress from the rain so it was perfect. I cannot recommend this stunning venue enough! Although, a team is only as good as their players. so, more importantly, i cannot recommend marlyn enough. Our guests are still raving about the venue, scenery, food, and atmosphere. We are so happy with our choice! And ILY MARLYN, SO MUCH.

Came to The English Manor about a month ago for a friend's wedding that my fiance was a bride's…read moremaid in. Let me start by saying the grounds are just beautiful. The parking lot is a little odd, but the Manor and its gardens are gorgeous. You walk in and you feel like you've entered an old rich relative's home. There is a small sitting room to your right where they have some beverages and fresh fruit out for guests to enjoy. They also decorate the room with pictures of the bride and groom, making it feel even more like a home, rather than a reception hall. The reception was out back so when the bride gives everyone the go-ahead, the guests will heading out the back to the gardens. (They also do indoor ceremonies in the winter and probably if it rains) There's a deck that leads you through some greenery and over a stream to the ceremony area. It's a pretty open space so the sun will beam down quite a bit. Looks great, but it can get a little warm for the guests. After the ceremony is done, the cocktail hour begins immediately, which is great for those of us who hate the long waits in between. There is seating on the deck and some more seating on another one of their lawns. There is also an indoor cocktail hour area for inclimate weather. As for food, they had veggie platters, cheeses, a selection of about 4 hot foods and a stir fry station. There were also servers walking around with a nice variety of hor dourves. Oh yea, and there was a bar with two bartenders that operated quickly enough that there wasn't much waiting around. Next to the reception. The hall isn't huge, but it makes for an intimate event. I feel like this is pretty personal to the couple and vendors, but the reception was very enjoyable. Food was all quite good. Everything was very nice. Overall, the wedding was great. For someone who is planning a wedding myself, I looked at everything as to whether or not I would like it for my wedding and I can say this place is really nice. What impressed me more than anything my surprise you and I swear I'm not an alcoholic, but it was the bartending. One bartender in particular was quite impressive. With about 150 people at the wedding, this bartender remembered your order with ease. I switched my beverage of choice and he kept on top of it the next time I went up. He was very quick and made a good drink. I know it's strange, but that guy was impressive and definitely enhanced the experience. With or without that, I think this is an awesome place to start your search for a reception hall for your wedding!

Would've liked a cone choice tho. Overall, I had no issues and we were taken care of the entire time. If the family decides to do it again, I'll be there. Field Goal is Good!!!

It was a lovely ceremony set up in the barn chapel and had a great cocktail hour overlooking the bay with a good variety of food options from oysters to lobster bisque and more. The banquet hall was very open and spacious and had plenty of room to dance and take in all of the festivities. Merri Makers did a great job catering the event and the Chateaubriand was exquisite! My server at the table was Sean and he did a great job always ensuring we had water and drinks served to our table as well as clearing the plates to make more room. The staff was very friendly and willing to help, and I am happy I had such a good server in Sean to make the event even more enjoyable. He was telling jokes to lighten the mood and was constantly available if needed. i would definitely use Merri-Makers for my events going forward because from everything I saw as an attendee it was a well-run operation with a staff that seemed to be enjoying what they were doing!

From the moment…read morewe began planning, the staff was attentive, thorough, and genuinely invested in making our day unforgettable. Creating our wedding with the Park Loft team was a smooth, joyful, and stress‑free process -- exactly what every couple hopes for. The culinary experience was truly unmatched. The chef and sous chef were not exaggerating when they said their food was the best. From cocktail hour to the reception dinner, every dish was exceptional. My guests are still talking about the variety of options and how incredible everything tasted. It was one of the highlights of the entire celebration. The ambiance at The Park Loft is something you simply cannot beat. The space is elegant, warm, and designed to elevate any event. If I had to share one critique, it would be regarding their social media presence. While many weddings before and after ours were showcased on their Instagram page, ours was not -- even after they requested our photo album. It felt a bit disappointing and, honestly, somewhat discriminatory, especially since we were excited to be featured as one of their couples. Additionally, they were strict about certain décor choices. We requested to bring in black chairs to match our color scheme, but were told no, as they only offered brown chairs at the time. It wasn't a major issue for me, and everything still looked beautiful -- but ironically, just a month or two after our wedding, they switched their ceremony chairs to black. Despite those minor frustrations, Alley and the entire Park Loft team were wonderful to work with. They were flexible when we needed wiggle room with décor, planning, and even financing. Their professionalism and kindness made the experience memorable in all the right ways. Overall, I would absolutely consider hosting another event at The Park Loft. The beauty of the venue, the quality of the food, and the dedication of the staff truly set it apart.

Everyone loved it. The main course was a choice of salmon or NY strip . We both had the salmon which was served with a mango sauce, rice pilaf and asparagus on the side. We didn't stay for Venetian hour. We were stuffed and exhausted. My only complaint was there's not enough bathroom facilities for the amount of people. Waited online way too long.
