Interior is a small liquor and fishing store with some tourist items. Staff friendly and the dog was especially friendly to all, except coconuts. There was a larger decent restroom to change, no showers. We had a clear tandem kayak that we got for four hours and they set us up in the back past the parking lot into a canal. They should us a map on how to navigate to Boca Ciega Bay, which is down the canal under two low bridges. We visited the tunnel of mangroves at Eleanor's Island, Little Bird Key Rookery, up to War Veteran's Memorial Park and St. John's Pass Sand Bar. We saw lots of wild life, it was a long paddle out and back. Even saw a manatee. Great time, however we really did not like the clear kayak. It felt very unstable and you have to check your equipment because they almost gave us a cracked paddle before I noticed, and they were nice about switching out. Also the clear kayak needed a float front and back but the back was missing the float, just in case. We did get life preservers which you have to have, but don't have to wear. TAKE A BUCKET to help clean the area, and get a free beer or other drink. I didn't notice until we got back, but cleaning up the water and shoreline is our thing. And we could've got a drink this time. It was good, and sounds like boat trips are the main draw. I liked it but I wish it was closer to the bay for kayaking because we took almost half hour both traveling to and from the bay, but then the canal is where we saw the manatee. So Good trip. I would not do a second time, but first time was worth it.

Not too hot and not too cold and with little to no wind. I was in the front chilling, paddling at times to help but I think my cousin who was in the back did most of the hard work paddling. During the warmer months, Jason was saying you do get to see more than the tiny fish. I'll definitely be doing this again when I come down with my friends.

Then, just four hours before the scheduled trip, a generic automated email was sent canceling the experience and instructing customers to request a refund. After that, communication again became nonexistent. I received no response regarding next steps for the refund despite repeated outreach. Unfortunately, I ultimately had to file a dispute with my bank to recover the payment for a service that was never rendered. Weather cancellations are understandable -- poor communication and lack of customer support are not.

The swirl slide we took moves really slow so you have to push yourself at some point to keep moving forward down the slide. People were coming down quickly after you would get off the slides they got kind of close to landing in the water by us. The straight down slide you catch air midway, especially for a little kids you kinda stopped, touching the slide at one point. Now for the smaller kid area it was perfect for my five year old. I had lessons planned in Dec for my daughter that I had planned well in advance of her visit to the area. The wind was certainly strong enough on 4 of her 7 days here. I got the feeling that Anthony just wasn't into working that much and no lessons were received even tho several texts and phone calls were made. This time we are going elsewhere for kite board lessons. We have purchased a couple paddle boards from Steve in the past and all of our dealings with those purchases have been wonderful. read more

Don't think you can find a better place if you're in to or new to Water Sports. Steve, Lane, Joey and these guys are on the water all the time and it shows. They really know the gear because they use it all. That's rare if you've been shopping around. You end up with better gear for you and can save you time and money every time. Nice, nice people. The outside of this store doesn't do it justice! My wife and I walked through the door and this place literally has everything Watersports related. From Christmas ornaments to clothes, surfboards to kayaks and everything in between this place is packed! There are some pictures & trophies on the stairs from surfing competitions I assumed employees of the shop participated in or sponsored.
