Darren went above and beyond helping me with a replacement item my sister gifted me. His dedication and kindness made the process seamless, and I can't thank him enough. When I stopped by today for the exchange, I instantly fell in love with the gorgeous water shoes displayed at the entrance. Kaitlyn was incredibly helpful--not only with the purchase but also with thoughtful tips on how to wear them comfortably. Her enthusiasm and knowledge made the experience even better. As fellow local business owners, we deeply value supporting other local gems, and Backwater Provisions is one of the best. There's something special about being helped by people who genuinely care and know their community. Thank you, Darren and Kaitlyn--I'm forever grateful! Rina

I walk in and the guy asked what I was looking for, I said I was just looking. He stuck his hand out to shake and I said "I done shaking hands for the rest of my life- Covid you know, don't be offended, nothing personal" He acted offended. Covid is STILL VERY REAL! And touching strangers unnecessarily IS STUPID!!! I was the only customer in here. I looked around the very tiny shop and saw a few Turkish shotguns, some cheap handguns and some OVERPRICED Glocks. I bought a Glock 19 Gen 5 for $500 at Britton's last year, and this guy was asking $679.00 !!! Most of his ammo was overpriced, same with mags. The guy (owner I'm guessing) stared at me the entire 5 minutes I was in the store and I left without buying anything. There are too many GOOD gun shops around Tampa Bay to waste time in a crappy place like this.

Walks up to my gun that I brought to make sure it would be the right fit. Grabs my gun and says it's dirty ( it's not that dirty, I just don't baby my rifles). And then asks if it even runs. Then proceeds to say how chunky it is. ( I use it for platform shooting, don't really care how heavy it is). I tell him I have no problem holding it lol. Then drops my rifle back down and breaks my optic cover. Then looks at it, asks if he did that then didn't say anything. They tried to charge me $300 over msrp for the suppressor. I asked if they'd match suppressor co online for the hukwrk flow ti which retails at $1299. Tried to charge me just under $1600. Asked if they'd match the price and Said no. So I went to reload and bought one for msrp . I'd stay away, weird egos from people who are 90 lbs over weight and don't have a crazy amount of fire arms knowledge. I'm no fire arms "expert but I did 6 years as a precision marksman on helicopters in the coast guard and this guy tried to treat me like a 11 year old brain dead idiot.
