D&S is by no means a neat and tidy shop and Dan can be a bit gruff at times. But he's a good guy doing good work. He's thoughtful and wants his customers to save money. I sometimes have to push a bit for some kind of newer seat or whatever because Dan will tell me I don't really need it! I'd much rather that than a shop that tries to push things on me that I don't want or need. Dan is anachronistic and in a world of big corporations, I prefer to do business with D&S Bicycle Shop.

Everything I want a bike shop to be. First, open on Sundays, which is so convenient. Second, able…read moreto hear about what had gone wrong, and then able to diagnose correctly what was needed. Third - able to fix it right then! I also loved that they had a lot of bicycle merchandise, including riding clothing and hats. After having a rear flat tire on my bicycle, and having a local shop unable to fix the problem, I brought my bike here. The worker put it up on rack, showed me how the new tape I just paid for at the other shop was put on incorrectly, AND showed me that my tire had see through patches on it, and clearly needed to be replaced. My tape, tire and tube were replaced, the cost was reasonable, and I was in and out of the shop in under half an hour. This is my new bike repair shop.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience. I brought my e-bike in to have a tube replaced and…read moresupplied the replacement tube myself, which I had already purchased on Amazon. The bike was in the shop for less than an hour, yet I was charged $80 just for the labor. That price feels excessive for such a straightforward repair. I believe local businesses should charge fair, transparent rates, and this experience left me feeling taken advantage of. I prefer supporting local shops, but it's hard to justify coming back after this. The owner should take a closer look at their pricing because this kind of experience drives loyal customers away.

Texted me when it was completed (first asking if text was okay I said yes) then I called 5 minutes before closing, spoke to Dave, to see if I could make it in time/feel out if they were willing to wait. Then asked where I was, I told them and then they offered to deliver it free of charge. I was astounded. I tipped them $10, to show appreciation, they were so kind and gracious. I then had them look at our other bike and she assessed it and told me what she would do and how much it costs and since trust was built I know it's going to be great. And she's happy to hold it until payday, which is a week out. I can't recommend this place enough!

They are running a few sales and they even have an awesome interactive (or it might be called intuitive) touchscreen tv where you can go online and/or buy/build your bike. Nice, clean, super helpful, and accommodating! I heard them on the phone, while I was there, help a customer who didn't even buy their e-bike from them and help them fix their e-bike and offered to even give them a loaner. That alone would keep me coming back! Definitely stop in and let the new owners, Molly and Jerry, help you out! I'm sure they can help find a solution to your problem, need, or desired e-bike!!!

I want to continue to ride with my husband but need some help on the longer rides. After visiting other stores, we visited this store twice over a few months. We ended up buying my bike here. They listened to what I would use the bike for and where, e.g. casual riding along the Pinellas Trail and on vacations, and suggested a few bikes for me. We found one within our price range that we liked and hubby actually rode the bike home! They answered whatever questions we had about the bike and e-bikes in general.
