This shop has really bad @$$ vibes but I was having a bad day when I found them. They made my day so much better! I was in town and I wanted to ride my bike because there are great ocean views on Courtney Campbell Causeway and I also realized Pinellas trail is close by also. My back tire was flat on my bicycle. So I found Kafe Racer on Google and walked in there in the worst mood honestly. They fixed my tire quickly because I asked him to. In the worst mood I told the gentleman "I came out here to ride my bike on this beautiful day (cool day for Florida) and can you fix my tire quickly. I really just want to ride my bike.". He fixed my bike quickly and was so polite. I was so thankful but I was still in a sinky mood. I felt so much better after my bike ride which would not have been so lovely if it wasn't for this shop. Great vibe. Great location. Friendly. Good price. When I went to pay there was an option to tip..I didn't tip. So I am giving a great review (they deserve it). I am sure that some people ask to tip them and maybe that's why that was on there. Everything was phenomenal about this shop minus the tip question at checkout. Still 5/5 easy. read more

Very cool shop & cafe. Loved the concept along the Pinellas Trail. The coffee vendor was not very attentive at first but gave me time to peruse all the shop had to offer. I chose a chocolate fudge & straticella affogato with their good coffee (same coffee brand Publix Pours use). It was made from their gelatos available, which were a little half melty and shiny like they were old and in a repeat melt and refreeze cycle. Nonetheless it was a good drink and I'm sure this would be my 5 star hangout if I lived closer. I enjoyed the visit with the barista once we were both "in the same room". read more

Very strangely, this bicycle shop ALSO has a coffee bar, making it a "biker bar" I suppose. The coffee is thoroughly excellent, best in town. I have no idea how good their bikes are but they are A+ on drinks. The pastries look not great, but the pumpkin pudding was probably the best food I've ever had at a coffee shop. They're also really close to the Pinellas Trail which is cool. read more

Amazing customer service. I stopped in to grab a phone holder for my bike and they installed it free of charge and also made some adjustments to my bike and checked to make sure everything looked good. Great people that really know what they're doing and also great atmosphere! read more

Very chill atmosphere, large menu (coffee, beer on tap, muffins, pastries, bagels, smoothies!) I highly recommend this local gem. Friendly staff too. read more

What an awesome experience from top to bottom! This morning at breakfast we decided to try something new while in Florida, and came to Kafe Racer to rent e-bikes and try our hand at that. What a great decision that was. From the beginning, the staff were great, treated us very well and were very friendly. The fact that we don't normally ride bikes was no big deal, and they walked us through the reservation process and showed how to operate the e-bikes. We ended up spending about $120 for two bikes for the day, and rode them all the way to Clearwater beach and back, stopping along the way for beers and snacks. Friends, I had the absolute time of my life and it's all thanks to these guys. Also: they do multi day rentals, so sign up for that if you're going to be in town for a few days, you're gonna love these things! read more

I love this place, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. It was my first stop to buy a bike as soon as I moved to Dunedin. The bonus has been the coffee cafe and outdoor patio to rest and socialize. read more

I'm kind of embarrassed that I have not left a review as yet since I have been coming here for years. Genuinely skilled, down to earth, and helpful staff/ownership. Their repairs are super affordable. I have had them replace several parts over the years, and it's done so quickly and efficiently. It's almost a pleasure for me when something goes wrong with my bike. Keep up the great work guys! read more

Bike rentals and a coffee shop?! What a great idea! The location is perfect since it's directly on the trail. There was limited parking and cafe seating (mostly outdoors but some tables inside). They let my friends dog inside too. She rented a wagon to tow the dog on her own bike and I rented a bike. A reservation is required, but you can make one when you arrive. It was easy to book too. Highly recommend when in Clearwater! read more

What a cute little shop and surprising café in the back. Customer service was really good here. A nice man really helped me walk through my decision process on what I was looking to buy. I highly recommend this shop. read more

What a gem of a place! Pinellas Park Trail is a 47-mile-long trail stretching from Tarpon Springs in the north to St. Petersburg in the south, a well paved, well marked trail great for jogging and cycling. If you don't own a bike, you can rent one from this place - you can even reserve your bike online. They also have a large selection of bikes and gears, as well as repair services. There is a cafe too, and I definitely recommend sitting outdoors, unless you love cycling so much you don't mind smelling rubber instead of coffee. read more

Kafe Racer - Oh the trail - Bikes Near Me - Dunedin, Florida

My friends and I wanted to bike the pinellas park trail and Kafe Racer is the perfect place to start. It's a cafe + bike rental right off the trail. Close by is a few breweries as well, which we visited after returning our bikes. The rental is for the whole day, so i believe you just have to return the bike before they close. We made it all the way to clearwater beach and back. Highly recommend a tandem bike- it was my first time using one and it's definitely an experience!! read more

Kafe Racer is the most extraordinary local business I have found in forever!!! Think bikes, cafe, beach setting, location on the Pinellas Trail Bike Path. This is amazing in every way... Bonus: A Golden Retriever Boss Dog named Millie! Love love love infinitely!!! I rented a bike here to ride the Pinellas trail. $24.99 for the whole day for a hybrid bike to me was a good price. They have other options including cruisers and electric bikes. Electric bikes are more for rental. Considering they are right on the Pinellas trail I think a whole day is definitely doable. They also fix bikes and sell bikes here. As soon as I got to Kafe Racer, I was super happy we snagged a parking spot. I let them know I had reserved my bike online, and they gave me my bike. It was the only option for the hybrid which is faster and easier than the cruiser. It was a perfect fit for me. What is even more genius about this place is the setting. Think after bike ride, you are exhausted, right?! They have coffee, tea, snacks, pastries, beer, and drinks. Also they have lounge couches, beach chairs in the sand, and the lounges where you can lay with your feet up. Total chill and relaxation afterward! Seriously, we felt like we died after our fun, but tiring first bike ride on the trail. There was one huge hill going towards Palm Harbor and coming back. Their chill restful options were everything and so thoughtful! I'll definitely come back again. Renting from them, and making this our go to spot made our day oh so perfect. It's also very central to fun businesses on the trail including the Lucky Lobster(our lunch spot), a few coffee shops, and a a lot of other businesses. read more

Rode Pinellas Trail and stopped Kafe for large Cafe con Leche and an Affogato, coffee gelato with shots of espresso poured over top. Cafe is open air. Bar stools inside and a few tables outside. Location on Trail promotes taking a rest with friends without pressure of being seated at a table. You can spend time shopping your next bike purchase in the fully-stocked bike shop. One gender neutral bathroom inside. Our visit to Kafe Racer was informative as Pinellas County staff promoting Safe Streets Pinellas was on site reminding us to share our trails and watch out for each other's safety. Indeed! It was a very busy trail day with walkers, rollerbladers and cyclists of every level. Glad to see folks outside again, but we had to slow our pace a bit to be safe. That's cool. Love our trails! read more

I was first drawn to Kafe Racer because of its vibrant outdoor patio scene visible from the Pinellas Trail. Since discovering this gem, I've been back multiple times for coffee and had my bike tuned here recently. The staff and patrons have all been polite, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Love walking through their store. I go there for the coffee (Cortado, and sometimes they have heavy cream, which is how I like it). Nice folks and they don't seem to mind if you wander the store and ogle at the cool bikes and nostalgic props throughout. Ok. Excellent service, great coffee, nice ambience inside and out, and oh, killer location. Not only will this be the best bike shop you ever been too, but it has a great location for repairs--- right on the trail. What they aren't: snooty, out to rip you off and non-attentive. This is the way you wish all bike shops were run. Professional, courteous and chill - no high pressure sales. Weekends it is a busy place, but you are always taken care of... Also, clean, and did I mention the best bike repair/maintenance around with reasonable fees? Anyway, thoroughly impressed. Before I forget, let me mention again, a great coffee/wine/beer shop All on its own. So, even if you don't own bikes - a great place to stop on the trail. read more

I just had the worst lack of customer service experience of my life 90 minutes ago. I was looking to add another Bianchi (~$7000 bike) to my collection when the most unbelievably rude Gen-Z male told me not to touch the bikes then stormed off without offering to assist. He then proceeded to start an altercation with my husband who called out his rude behavior. We will be burning our Kafe Racer gear and we will forever take our business elsewhere. read more

The Kafe Racer is where I purchased this splendid beast of a bike that offers so much as it conquers all type of trail. It's right off the Pinellas Trail in Dunedin and you can always stop in for a fancy hot drink or to just relax in the outside cafe. All of the staff are quite pleasant and knowledgeable to deal with. Had probably the worst service of our visit to the Clearwater area with the rental of bikes here. We called ahead and asked what kind of bikes they had and some guy there quickly said go online and you can see them. It basically just had categories for the bikes ie (road, hybrid etc.) He made no mention of having to book on the site. Especially if they all know the bikes book up. We arrive and some millennial dude more or less scolds us because we didn't reserve ahead and kind of pushes us to the some computers in the corner to enter our info and walks away. But before that he said I don't know anyone here who would have told you that. Like we were lying. Like if he told us to book online because the rentals fill up quick we would have just ignored that and came in and lied? Come on! The bikes were okay. They were well used and worn but operated okay with no issues. And the rentals are all day rentals. They have no two hour rates etc. If you go here, just know it's a bunch of bad service, poor communication millennials and the only reason they are probably doing so many rentals is because they are steps from Pinellas Trail and no other bike rental places are near them to compete. read more
