Everything I want a bike shop to be. First, open on Sundays, which is so convenient. Second, able to hear about what had gone wrong, and then able to diagnose correctly what was needed. Third - able to fix it right then! I also loved that they had a lot of bicycle merchandise, including riding clothing and hats. After having a rear flat tire on my bicycle, and having a local shop unable to fix the problem, I brought my bike here. The worker put it up on rack, showed me how the new tape I just paid for at the other shop was put on incorrectly, AND showed me that my tire had see through patches on it, and clearly needed to be replaced. My tape, tire and tube were replaced, the cost was reasonable, and I was in and out of the shop in under half an hour. This is my new bike repair shop. read more

Guys are great and can always fix whatever the is. They have rebuilt parts for me. Sometimes they will not even charge it it a an easy fix.

I brought my 21 year old Schwinn to the shop to replace the bearings on the pedal crank since they were making noises while pedaling. They had the part in stock and had my bike ready the next day. They not only replaced the defective bearings but also lubricated the chain and adjusted the shift mechanism. This old bike now runs smoothly and feels like a new machine. Five stars for customer service, knowledge, patience and Giant e-bikes in stock. Purchased a pedal assist, Giant LIV Rove E+ bike last month from BikeSport. I recently had my bike serviced at BikeSport and one of the service items was replacing the brake pads.  The type of brake on the bike is very finnicky, and it proved to be a challenge to get the brakes adjusted to the feel I prefer. However, BikeSport was very patient and accommodating to ensure brake feel was just the way I like it, which required multiple adjustments to accommodate my request.  They explained the issues regarding the brakes and really went out of their way to make sure I was a happy and satisfied customer. That level of customer service seems to be a forgotten art, but it appears to be the standard operating procedure at BikeSport.   They've earned my respect and repeat business. read more

I have an older Schwinn hybrid that I've been riding substantially more since COVID, and it needed work. The tires were so smooth I could almost see myself and the brakes weren't much better. I looked on Yelp for ratings and discovered BikeSport, so the next day I loaded my bike on the carrier and took it over. The individuals I spoke with were polite and helpful. One technician inspected my bike, agreed with me on the tires and brakes and suggested a basic tuneup. He said that they were really busy but that for safety reasons he could put new tires on while I waited and set an appointment for the remainder of the work in a week. I agreed, and the new tires were installed in 20 minutes, I returned in a week and dropped the bike off, and it was ready a day later as promised. The cost was as estimated. New tires,tubes, brakes, chain, tuneup. Cost was about $125 or so, well worth it! I cannot think of anything negative to say (and for me, that's notable!) read more

The staff was very helpful in helping me decide wether to fix my old bike or not. I wanted to fix it to resell it but ultimately they advised me not to because the condition was usable and it was an older bike. They could have easily quoted be $200+ in repairs and encouraged me to proceed but instead they were honest and upfront. They even tightened some bolts and nut for me for free. I bought a bike that I was SO excited about and went to pick it up yesterday. When I went for a test ride the handlebars were loose and completely twisted, no problem it wasn't a big deal and Troy was apologetic and fixed it right away. I pay, buy accessories, and think we're all set, well then I go to put it on my car rack and notice that the front brakes are little messed up. Since we haven't left we ask them to take a quick look and they fix them. Fast forward to today and I go for my first ride on the pinellas trail, 2 miles in I hear a loud snap and the seat falls (ouch!) and I end up walking it the two miles back to my car. My dad takes it back for me because when it fell (since it wasn't attached correctly in the first place) the screw bent. Mike, the owner, proceeds to lecture him in front of a store full of people saying "well these things happen with bikes and you should carry tools with you". They did a crap job putting it together, 3 things fell apart/broke within the first 12 hours of owning, and they're saying "these things are to be expected" Absolutely ridiculous. When I purchased a $650 bike I expected it to be put together properly, silly me. While things can definitely wear over time and mistakes do happen, Mikes attitude and tactless remarks made what was supposed to be an exciting purchase into a poor experience. read more

I took my son to the Bike Shop in Oldsmar today for an issue with the rear hub being loose. After one minute they had the issue fixed and it was free of charge, I must say, courtesy and service like this is very rare for service industries today. Outstanding bike shop with great people and service!! I typically frequent another bike shop in the area but after getting the run around on a quote to take apart my mountain bike so that I could get the frame powder coated, I finally decided to give BikeSport a shot. I'm extremely happy that I did. Mike gave me a straight up answer and a very reasonable price, which included a full tune-up when the bike was to be reassembled. I took my mountain bike there on Monday morning and was able to pick up the frame that afternoon. I then brought the painted frame back on Friday afternoon and had my bike back on Saturday!! Not only was this amazingly quick but they fixed everything -- new chain, rear gears, grips, cables! My bike is brand new again! I brought my Recumbent in last week because the rear derailleur started slipping. One of their repair guys diagnosed it as a warn casette and they replaced it for not much more than the cost itself. I also scheduled a tuneup and they changed me $80.00, slightly below the going rate in this area. They said it would probably take a few days to complete but they called me a few hours later saying it's done. They didn't try to upsell unnecessary repairs or parts. Every other shop I called was at backlogged at least 3 weeks out. These guys were fast, thorough and honest. Couldn't be happier and will use them again. I highly recommend this shop. read more

Such great customer service. I've been to many bike shops looking for my first bike but none had made me feel comfortable with a big purchase except for Bike Sport. When I came in the first time, Andrew spent maybe 30 to 35 minutes explaining the different bikes to me and not selling them. He listened to what I wanted out of my first bike and made recommendations. Ultimately we decided on one, which I just came to pick up. Another maybe 40 minutes going over everything that I need to know by it being my first bike. Kevin even took me out to the parking lot and watched me ride to make sure I was OK. They go above and beyond to make sure that not only you receive great customer service but also to make sure you have a great riding experience. I had reached out online for top bike shops in my area and Bill(?) gave me the best response so I thought I would give them a try. I went in with my bike, no seat and a bike rack that I did not know how to use. I was greeted immediately and told them I wanted an estimate for bike servicing, new seat, and new handlebars. I said if estimate was too much I would just buy a new bike. The young gentleman took my bike from me immediately ( I expected I would have to leave it there and come back) and started to work on it. They were steady the whole time with customers coming in and they handled everyone promptly and efficiently. I also had an old bike rack and saw the other gentleman came out to my car to try and fit it for me and discovered pieces were missing so I just put it back in the car but then he went inside and got me a card for a guy who can put a hitch on my car so that I can put a bike trailer on my car next thing you knew my bike was ready to go new seat handle bar riser air in the tires and all of that happened in less than an hour and the price was more than reasonable I will definitely make this my bike shop they were great!! read more
