I also ordered the Spicy Queso Crab dip. Holy Cayenne! I love spicy and this was way over the top. All you could taste was the cayenne. We had three bites between us. My husband got the rib eye and it was under cooked. He sent it back to be fired again for a medium vs. rare and it came back to the consistency of leather. I told him to expect that. I knew it would go from one extreme to the next. I added the chopped lettuce wedge and that was okay. It was huge so I couldn't finish it because I got full but how hard is a salad. The first time we went there our food came out hella slow, one persons food didn't come out until we were practically done, and she had an appetizer. During that time, we couldn't get the waitress to come back to refill our drinks, or take plates away. I had to go up to the bar numerous times to do it myself. Last night was the second time going and it was the same treatment. When we came in, a waitress just walked by and told us to seat ourselves, no greeting. We were only there for drinks, and to watch hockey; easy money, just keep the drinks coming.. but no, we spent the whole time trying to get her attention. When we were ready to pay I tried to ask another waitress to get her for us but she didn't acknowledge me at first either, then said "I'll be with you in a moment" and proceeded to walk off when she was done with the people behind us. We finally got the waitresses attention and she was visibly annoyed by it, and it's not like we were obnoxious.. we waited patiently. We told her we were ready to pay so she just put her machine down on the table, clicked to the pay screen, and walked away to attended to a table. when she came back I asked if we could see the receipt to figure out why the price was so high, she said no, that we had to pay first then we would get a receipt printed. When I asked why it was so high she said there's an automatic 18% tip added.... be so for real lmao! Then, sweetly, she said "you can click 'no tip' if you want." That's diabolical, we were ghosted and then forced to tip.... Can't make this stuff up, hands down worst service ever.

Our waited gave us menus and the tough choices began. Sangria or Hibiscus Tea, beer or Pear Mimosa!! we got the pear mimosa and the Hibiscus Tea. The restaurant was very clean, and since it wasn't too busy, we were seated right away. The staff was welcoming and friendly. A few minutes after we placed our order, we were informed that they were out of breakfast potatoes, which was surprising since it was still before 10 a.m. This limited some of the breakfast options, so I ended up ordering the Selden Breakfast (a biscuit sandwich), a kid's chicken noodle soup, a biscuit on the side, and a lavender matcha. The sandwich was delicious, especially after adding the garlic aioli. My only complaint was that the biscuit wasn't served warm, and I think warming it would have elevated the sandwich. The biscuit we ordered on the side was also not warm. The lavender flavor in the matcha was enjoyable, but the drink itself missed the mark. The color and matcha flavor seemed off, and it wasn't mixed well--I could see clumps of matcha powder sitting in the ice. On a positive note, my nephew really enjoyed the chicken noodle soup. Overall, I was a bit underwhelmed by the experience, but there were enough positives that I'd be willing to come back and give it another try.

We had an amazing experience thanks to our waitress, Husonia! She took care of our large group of 17 completely on her own -- 14 high school students and 3 adults -- and handled everything with incredible patience, kindness, and professionalism. From the moment we arrived, she welcomed us with such warmth and positive energy that she immediately made us feel comfortable and cared for. Despite our large and energetic group, every single order came out correct, drinks were constantly refilled before anyone even had to ask, and she checked on us often with a genuine smile. She stayed calm, organized, and attentive the entire time, which is not easy with a group of teenagers! She treated every student with respect and kindness, joking with them, making them laugh, and making them feel important. What stood out most was how much heart she put into serving us. Husonia didn't just do her job -- she truly took care of us like family. You could tell she genuinely cared that everyone had a great experience. By the end of the meal, the students were so happy and appreciative that they gave her a big group hug, which says everything about the impact she made on our group. Husonia is a beautiful person inside and out, and her outstanding customer service, patience, and kindness deserve recognition. She made our outing memorable, and we are so grateful for the care she gave us. Any restaurant would be lucky to have someone like her! read more

Courtni made our visit absolutely exceptional! From the moment we walked in, she was warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. Her positive attitude, attention to detail, and friendly personality made us feel like valued guests instead of just another table. She was incredibly knowledgeable, checked on us at all the right times without ever being intrusive, and made sure every part of our experience was perfect. You can tell she truly cares about providing outstanding service, and it shows in everything she does. Great food and drinks are always a plus, but it's people like Courtni who make you want to come back again and again. She went above and beyond to make our experience memorable, and she absolutely knocked it out of the park. If you have the chance to be served by her, you're in for an amazing experience! Visited the Waterside District in Norfolk during the day, and while the location seemed promising, it was virtually empty. The quiet atmosphere took away from what I imagine could be a lively and energetic spot. Based on the setup, it looks like it would shine much more on nights and weekends when crowds likely bring it to life. The area itself is clean and nicely designed, with a good mix of dining and entertainment options. It's clear they've put effort into making it a hub for social gatherings. Unfortunately, a daytime visit just didn't showcase its full potential. I'd recommend checking it out during peak times to get the real experience. For our visit, it was more of a 3-star day, but I'd be open to giving it another shot when it's busier. read more

This is a cool little spot in Norfolk Virginia. The first draw that made me come here was Guy Fieri's restaurant. More on that later. When I entered they were setting up for a Mardi Gras party. From what I could see there were several restaurants in the area with a lot going on. You could go for Chipotle, the Blue Moon Tap House, Cogan's Pizza, etc. It was mid-day so everyone was inside watching college basketball games. I ended up grabbing a seat at the bar ordering some chicken wings and watching the game. Now I am not a Norfolk local so I don't have much knowledge on how it is here every weekend but from the one time I was there it was a fun time. read more
