We went in on a Sunday, had a reservation we probably didn't need as most of the restaurant was empty. The wait staff were very friendly but not very attentive. My husband got the meatloaf- super tasty, definitely the best item we had to eat here!

Bruschetta

Split every dish with my date and the friendly staff brought it out course style. Every flavor was eye widening and the most memorable dish was the mixed berry delight dessert. I always pick chocolate desserts over others, but this choice will be one of my life favorites. Very romantic environment. So glad our airbnb recommended this gem.

Newly renovated restaurant on the second floor. Nice seating area. Food is great. Service is excellent.

Ambiance amazing!!! Staff amazing!!! The hummus brucetta so good. The steak vegetable soup so good but was not very hot. Bacon wrapped chicken good but sides were mushy. My husband has the tenderloin. Again great meat but wider where mushy

$19 Heirloom Tomato Caprese with HALF burrata LOL

We should have known this place is a joke after seeing the Heirloom Tomato Caprese. For $19 we got HALF of a tiny burrata. And then come artisan bread and butter with non toasted bread. Then come dried up flavorless pork tenderloin and salty meatloaf. We couldn't get out of there fast enough after the meal. Old World Chophouse, which is a block away is farrrr better with similar price point. Never again

Not at all bad for a Leavenworth establishment. Great service (except for not moving us to another empty table upon our request) and great food. We ordered; Pork tenderloin; $41 Wild sockeye salmon; $41 Meatloaf; $41 Salmon bruschetta; $18 Daily soup - pork stew; $12 Coconut mussels; $25 Floor less chocolate cake a La mode; $13 and Berry cobbler a La mode. $13 Every single item was delish and the only point of improvement is for the pork stew to have actual pork pieces. My daughter kept fishing for more pork and complained that it was primarily veggies/celery. With drinks (Italian soda for the kiddos and a couple of glasses), the total bill was $330. .

Wonderful option for upscale dining in Leavenworth! We made reservations in advance to sit outside and had a lovely view of Post Hotel and the river. They have great drinks and a small, seasonal menu with fresh options on it. I am gluten free and found that there were a lot of great options for me. I ended up getting the sweet potato and was able to sub butter for olive oil. The food was flavorful and unique, lots of interesting flavors and textures. My boyfriend got the meatloaf and found it to be rich and flavorful as well. This place is a bit more expensive than other spots in Leavenworth, but is a wonderful option for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or experience some higher end eating.

Food and service were great. I give it 4 stars only because the kitchen ventilation is not good. After dinner we noticed our clothes carried a strong food odor that didn't go away even after airing out our jackets overnight. Take note if you plan on visiting, don't wear expensive clothing or jackets

Before you leave this planet your life is not complete until you get a slab of Million Dollar Meatloaf from the Watershed in Leavenworth, WA. We decided to kick out the stops for a nice dining experience on a Sunday evening. The Watershed came recommended by friends so we jumped. The building is on a side street by the Post Hotel. It's brick construction with hardwood floors and dim lighting. The seating is tables with no booths but one wall is bench style with pillows to cushion your back. They specialize in farm to table items so the menu can change periodically. I think a few entrees are staples and don't change. Everything is as fresh as it can be. I chose the Million Dollar Meatloaf and Mrs Billy D had a bacon wrapped chicken breast which looked straight out of a cuisine magazine. All I heard out of her were yummy noises. We began with cocktails. I am not a drinker but I thought I would try the ultimate adult drink. The Old Fashioned. It was heavenly and I am not a whiskey drinker. The flavors were very good. There was some kind of spice in it. I can't say if all Old Fashioned's are like that though. Our server was very good. I can tell she is a professional. Okay... the meatloaf was dense and usually comes with whipped potatoes and you know from my reviews I think whipped and mashed potatoes are reprehensible in every way. They gave me some roasted zucchini and asparagus instead. They put the morel mushroom gravy on the vegetables (whipped potatoes, if you aren't me) then the slab of meatloaf on top. The whole thing is very good and flavorful. This is a rich dish so be prepared to put in some work if you get it. I've never paid $41 for meatloaf but I knew that going in so there was no ahh sh*t moment. We got out of there for about $136 minus the tip for two entrees, two cocktails, and an appetizer. Do not hesitate to hit up Watershed when visiting Leavenworth.

Amazing Meatloaf

Next time you're in Leavenworth, make sure to book a table at the incredible Watershed restaurant. Super close to the Post Hotel and just off the main drag, you'll be treated to a wonderful menu full of Pacific NW cuisine. Service is on point and prices are reasonable. The poached pear salad, Caprese salad and meatloaf were all outstanding! Looking forward to dining here again soon!

After reading the great reviews I convinced the husband we had to try this place out. We managed to get in a little later than the usual dinner hour as they had a pretty long waiting list every night for dinner. When we arrived, their small dining area was still full but they served us at a rustic wooden bistro height table in the bar area. The atmosphere is beautiful with intimate lighting, brick walls, and natural wood decor. I loved the centerpiece of the long table we were at with the natural river rocks. Our server was friendly and helped to point out what gluten free items I could have on their menu. The menu is pretty limited so gf items were also sparse. I ordered the pear and arugula salad with candied pecans which was light and fresh. For my main I had their seasonal fish entree with cubed sweet potato. It was pretty good and plated beautifully, though the husband and I both agreed it needed a bit more seasoning. It was an all around pretty good little meal that we had and we really appreciated them squeezing us in so we could sample some of their tasty menu options. We look forward to returning for future nomming on our next Leavenworth adventure.

Ask the Community - Watershed Cafe

Is there a kids menu or has anybody taken young children there?

No kid's menu but don't see why kids would be an issue

Is there outdoor seating for Summer 2021?

Yes

Is this a good venue for a rehearsal dinner for 40-45 people? If so, what is the price range for entrees? I do not see any prices on the website on their sample menu.

Yes it could be. You'd probably want to rent out the whole restaurant-- it doesn't seat many more than 40-45. Entrees are $35-40.

Are they open?

Closed til January 7th

The chorizo in the stuffed mushrooms made them stand out from any others I've tried before and added such a great depth of flavor. The prosciutto fig pizza had the perfect balance of sweet and savory, with different flavors that worked beautifully together. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. The staff consistently checked in on us and made sure everything was perfect. Overall, great food and great service!

We made sure to close our tab so that our tip will go to her before she left. She answered all our questions and if she wasn't sure, she made sure to get the answer elsewhere for us. There was a football game that didn't start for another hour so we asked if we could play pool. She let us know that the projector would need to be put up but said to play pool anyways and she'll see what night staff would do. So we did. We were finishing up our last game and went back to our seats. My bf asked the new servers if they could play the sound of the game and he just flat out said "no". I then asked a different server if we could pull down the projector like it was earlier with the sound, and he looked at me straight in the eye and said "no" and walked away. There was no conversation. I would have appreciated it if we were given a reason as why it wasn't possible when they were doing it the entire day. After our original server left, we were not checked on at least once. The only time we got their attention was when we had to waive them down and asked for a beer. When we finished that, we left it on the table to see if they would notice. I started a timer too. The bartender or server was playing poker too which I didn't understand considering it was pretty busy. My bf who plays poker noticed one of the dealers wasn't dealing top card during the game so be cautious playing the card game here. At this point, with the timer still going, we were not checked on for 20 min. We're closing out and leaving to different bar.
