I never feel rushed or brushed-off by the employees. - Many small items can be purchased in single units (just need 3 metric brass screws... and not a 12 pack? Then go here). - The selection of unique items boggles my mind, especially when the store is half the size of the big-box hardware). - Key making done right! When I've had keys made at this store, well... they work! That's not the case when I go to the big-box stores. I'm not sure what it is, but the worker seems to give the key a little more time and effort. - In the summer, the turn over part of the parking lot to plants, lawn and garden, and outdoor supplies. - They don't carry any large hardware items in the store (can't buy 5 sheets of 8' plywood). - Good selection of manual and power tools.

Thursday we were told a new one would be in by the following Monday and we could swap it out. Monday when we called to see if it was in we were told the new owners were not honoring old warranties. No call to notify us while she waited in her hot house for 5 days. Michael the manager and Vicky the purchaser pointed fingers at who dropped the ball and there was nothing the owners would do to help us. Horrible customer service. My father while alive spent all his time shopping at this store and this is how they treat long term customers. You lost our business and anyone else that will listen to how you treated our family. Shame on you!

Don't buy paint here. Honestly, don't even bother…read more The paint department at Home Depot is unbelievably bad. I brought the same paint back six times to be corrected. Six. Not once was I offered a refund or even a discount for the hours I wasted going back and forth. Over the phone, I was told I could get a refund if I came back in. So I drove back again -- only to be told in person that it wasn't refundable after all. I lost the only free weekend I had to paint because I spent five hours dealing with their mistakes. And no -- I was not being nit-picky. They gave me a sample with the wrong color mixed to begin with. Every time I showed them the mismatch (even on the wall), they reassured me it was correct and sent me on my way. It wasn't. Customer service didn't care. Larry made it very clear I wouldn't be refunded for my time and that I wasn't going to get the color I originally asked for. The only reason I received any real help at all was because a Behr rep happened to be standing at the counter. In the end, I had to compromise on the paint color after hours of back-and-forth and zero accountability from the store. No compensation. No ownership. Just shrugs. Home Depot may be close to me, but I will gladly drive farther to avoid a store that prioritizes quotas over customer service. Lowe's and Sherwin-Williams are practically the same distance -- and worth it. Take your business elsewhere.

I disagree with some of the other reviews as I feel this Lowe's has the best best management team in the region, headed by Mr Lee London. I've ran into my fair share of problems at Lowe's stores, been in situations where legal actions had to be taken due to flat out theft of items that I had already paid for and just hadn't picked up yet but Gladstone Lowe's isn't one of those types of stores. Some employees need a reality check (like all stores) but for the most part, everyone is great. Between Gladstone Lowe's headed by Lee & Gladstone Home Depot headed by Andrew, I must say it's a very unique situation to have 2 great leadership teams in a short distance. If you're a contractor and considering a move, move around here so you can stop on the way out to the job site every morning. Matt N

The flooring installation had to be redone after defects occurred, and installers returned multiple times over several months attempting to correct issues. Problems included uneven flooring, visible gaps between planks, damaged trim and quarter round, and damage caused during installation. There is still a loose plank in the kitchen area that shifts when stepped on. I kept detailed records, photos, and videos throughout the process. While Lowe's corporate representatives did communicate with me, I am disappointed that the flooring still does not reflect the level of professional workmanship I expected.
