Waterproofing One has saved me on more than one occasion from flooding in my basement, first one side and then the other. I live with a steep hill behind me and a thick stone wall over which water comes down like a waterfall during very heavy rains. Absolutely ridiculous experience. Left multiple messages and even contacted via website form for an active water penetration crack in my poured concrete foundation wall. When someone did call me back, I was driving and set up a time for an appointment and asked that she call me or email the appointment date and time. Never happened. Called several more times and nothing. I wasn't even living in the property in question and it was sheer coincidence that when a guy showed up to give an estimate, I happened to be at the property. It was for a crack in a poured concrete foundation wall. The guys solution was to address the crack, but then also break the poured concrete pad and basically put in a drainage pit. If you're at all familiar with Radon remediation - WORST IDEA EVER. And, totally unnecessary if you fix the crack properly. And to boot, the price was outrageous. Given the effort of just getting them through the door and their "fix one problem, but worsen another" approach (the radon), we found someone else who fixed the crack without disturbing the floor and it was perfectly repaired with no leaks in the heavy rains since that would've normally caused the crack to pass water. About 2 weeks after their estimator was there, the owner (I imagine) of the company called and asked if they could set up an appointment to come out and give a quote. Seriously? I gave him an earful. Would never use them. My recommendation: find a mason like I did. read more

We got several water proofing quotes and felt Waterproofing One was the best price for us. The basement in our older home with each rain storm has been taking on water more and more and we felt it was time to do something about it. Joe was very knowledgeable and explained what was needed to fix the problem. A "French Drain" was installed within a week, very pleased about that, other companies were months out and we felt we couldn't wait. The crew that did the install I was very impressed with, they were very careful to cover our floors and yard with tarps. They had to use our basement window to pass things In/out which was fine, rather than dragging too much through our house. Because of how the french drain is installed I was fully expecting some mess to be cleaned up afterwards in our basement and front yard. The crew had so much equipment and materials sprawled over our entire yard and driveway. BUT I WAS WRONG. When they were done you couldn't tell they were there, they spent a lot of time cleaning up the basement and driveway, rinsing off everything not a speck was left. Very Impressed, and the French Drain install looks very professional. We just had our first hurricane Zeta remnants yesterday and not a drip of water in the basement. Such a relief !!!! We spent a fortune getting our basement waterproofed and was initially happy with the work done. Less than a month later our basement completely flooded during a bad storm. We attempted many times to call the company and spoke to someone twice who assured us we were on the list to come out and see what happened. That was 3 weeks ago and we still have not heard from them and they do not return phone calls. Very frustrated and disappointed at this point read more

They did a terrific job and some of the worksite was left dusty, but what counted is what they did about it... they came back and made it right and re cleaned the entire space in my basement. I am also having them do my gutters. They came back on the weekend to re-seal my window and just nice to see a local company in the area do good work and care about their customers satisfaction. read more

I can't comment on their work because I couldn't even get them out for an estimate. Three attempts at getting an estimate. The first two were cancelled the day of, the third we waited an hour and a half before finally calling them to see what was up. Waterproofing One came into our older home and repaired the basement wall that had semi-collapsed due to water damage. There was only one window in the basement, so they had to go thru the basement, up thru the dining room and kitchen with all materials. In the process, they protected the rest of the house from dirt and debris. When the wall was complete, they redid the insulation under the kitchen floor, covered it with a moisture barrier. They did an excellent job and would highly recommend them. read more

We actually got two different jobs done through Waterproofing One I'll start with the first job, adding French drains. We called on a Sat, made and appointment to meet at our house next day, a Sunday! We had some moisture starting to come through the corners of the cinder blocks in our basement. The team that came explained that a French drain system can reduce the pressure that was building up in our walls by trenching canals that lead to our sub pump. They suggested trenching the perimeter of two walls of our finished basement. We did not want to tear out our full bath in the basement (which is not too large of a footprint). They suggested putting two drains that stop and start at the perimeter walls surrounding the bathroom and add a second sub pump. They also suggested adding drains to the basement window wells. The idea of ripping part of a beautiful finished basement was a hard pill to swallow but overall felt that we and any potential future owners of our house would sleep a bit easier knowing we were pretty fortified against future flooding. When they came to work they were on time, they plastic wrapped every inch of basement that was not under construction and finished neat and tidy in a day and a half. We now have two French drains that run two sides of our basement, two sub pumps and two window well drains. So far so good getting through the rainy parts of spring. We do have to now repair the walls and floors of our basement at the bottom corners, one solution might be banquettes with storage, they should conceal the repairs nicely. We also worked with Waterproofing One on our new roof. They worked out a package deal and the price was right. When buying the house we knew we would need to replace the roof as it was the original from the 70s, we worked the cost into our closing agreement. Joe came out after I got off work, we went up to our attic and he pointed out areas of black mold growth that was on the interior plyboard on the north facing 1/3 of our roof. He gave us two options, replace just the shingles and attempt to mold treat the plyboard or replace the plyboard with new board before replacing the shingles. It was a no brainer for us as the mold evidence was in front of my eyes. He also suggested that in the northern area of our attic where we have two bathroom vents feeding into the attic they add a fan to keep moisture low and prolong the life of the replacement roof area. He left us with some shingle books from different companies and had no agenda in up selling or pushing any particular brands. We made an appointment to work that had to be a bit flexible with on and off rain in the forecast. They replaced the plyboard with new boards that were painted in an antimicrobial coating. They installed a new solar fan that was energy efficient and did not require the work of an electrician. They repaired two beams that had cracks. They also re-shingled our small shed. The work was done in 2.5 days the price was about inline with expectations and really laid out a plan for long term preservation of our roof. The last thing I would say you need to consider from any roofing job is that it is inevitably messy and it took us a few days circling the house picking debris out of the lawn. The team was also very flexible with my work schedule and were able to do a good amount of the communication via email which works a lot better for my schedule. They were able to come by on weekends, Sunday's and after work if needed. They also gave me a warranty transferable once. read more

This company did a waterproofing project in my laundry room. I would not recommend this company to anyone because after finishing the project, I noticed damage to my home which they refused to address. After bringing the issues to the owner I was made to feel foolish for voicing my concerns. I was informed on multiple occasions that the damages would be fixed but none have to date. In my opinion, the service, resultant damages and headaches were not worth the thousands spent to for this project read more
