    Drink menu 07.2025

I discovered this restaurant, not via Yelp, but via Google Maps since it was close to where I was staying. This restaurant deserves Yelp recognition, as I am sure all my foodie Yelpers will appreciate this place! I'm not sure when it opened, but probably really recently. Great place to grab some bites and drinks with your friends or a date. The restaurant is up the stairs above a business and has indoor/outdoor spaces. There are a few tables in the inside space with an open kitchen, and there is an outdoors deck with picnic tables and many countertop seats to watch the planes land/take off on Beluga Lake. It's an entire vibe. This is a tapas restaurant, so the concept is to select several dishes to share. It's also open only from 4-9pm. Most people might not consider this a full service dinner, but we had a huge late lunch, so this was perfect. The tapas menu is very limited, but the portions are generous for two. My husband and I ordered 3 dishes- the caprese, the fingerling potatoes, and the elk meatballs. We also ordered a pitcher of sangria and the mini cheesecake for dessert. The food was delicious. This is operated by a team of two (not sure if they're husband/wife). The man cooks everything, and the woman runs around taking orders and serving the dishes all with a smile. We enjoyed this place, so I wanted to give it a shout out and hope more people check it out! We walked in with no reservations and there were a few people there already. We were in and out in about an hour.

In love with this place - cannot say enough great things. Service was quick, attentive, and so kind. The tapas were great portions - perfect to split 2-3 among 2 people. The spice and sauce of the shrimp was perfect, we were licking the plate clean. The bread was a great addition with the shrimp too. I LOVED the view and got to see 2 planes take off and land during our time there at 6 pm. A most stop for some light bites and amazing views.

Several times this summer I have enjoyed dining at Water Rudders. Spanish Tapas (small platters). are the theme and the menu and drinks reflect this. Earlier this summer they featured a grilled octopus that was the best I have ever had.

What a delightful place! We got into town and wanted an early dinner since we are still on east coast time. Water Rudders did not disappoint! We shared the lovely focaccia, elk meatballs, shrimp and caprese salad. All were served to the perfect temp with lovely seasonings and flavor that was full and distinctive. Service was quick and our lovely outdoor seating allowed us to watch the sea planes come and go. Their drink menu has something for everyone and of course we had to get the cheesecake. We love tapas and seek them out when we travel and these were honestly some of the best. Great first meal in Homer! Well done!

Food, service , ambiance - all were superior. Exquisite gourmet tapas plates. And a great water view of more than a half dozen float planes docked right outside our table's window. Not overly crowded, but I expect that to change in the coming weeks, as it is discovered. If we are ever back in Homer, this place will be #1 on our list to revisit.

The view from the cabin is mostly obscured by trees but you do get a clear view of a huge mountain through the north-facing window over the sink. The cabin isn't huge but for a couple, it's great. Maybe a couple plus a small child or two, you could swing it. Cabin was clean and well-equipped. Grill ready to go on the porch as well as another one at the pavilion nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

The grounds are beautiful and you can't beat the scenery looking over the bluff to the mountains in the distance with bald Eagles soaring overhead as you sip on coffee in the hammock! The beds are comfortable and cabin are cute and clean. Our 11 yr old son lives sleeping in the loft and the covered fire pit area is lots of fun! Lots to do and see here in the area. Fishing on the Anchor River just a mile away is great and we even went beachcombing on the spit at low tide in Homer and found seashells ( an Oregon Hairy Triton). I own a shelling tour company in Florida so this was a special treat for me. We will be back again next summer. Book you won't be dissapointed.
