We installed our water softener back in 2022, and I can honestly say it's one of the best home upgrades we've ever made. The difference was noticeable almost immediately: Showers feel so much better now! Our skin is softer, less dry, and we don't deal with that itchy feeling we used to get from hard water. I had a whole house system installed in March 2020. I have had service visits to replace filters every year since then. I found out my RO system was hooked up incorrectly with the drinking water and drain lines reversed. The company comped this year's visit, however this went on for 3 years and was missed by prior technicians! I paid thousands of dollars for this system. Technicians should know what they are doing and pay attention to detail especially when this kind of money is being spent. Needless to say, I'm disappointed. read more

It's been about a year now that we've had out water system. Totally regret it. We were told no calcium would build up on our black faucets, lied. Water marks would not show up on our glass shower, just as many water marks are there as before. They said the shampoo would help with dandruff, still have it and didn't help! On behalf of the Martinez/Archuleta family. On a busy late afternoon in March, I had a knock on my door by a young lady asking to get a water sample from our inside sink. I was on the phone at this time and really was not in the mood for any solicitation. I grabbed her vial and provided her with a sample. She took some basic information and gave me an informational pamphlet regarding Water Resource International, Inc. I did not really think much about this until I received a call a few days later asking me to set up an appointment with a representative to go over the results of the water sample tests. We have very busy schedules and I was very reluctant to set an appointment, but agreed due to the very nice offer of a gift card. On the day of our appointment, I had actually forgotten about our appointment and was late getting home. I received a call and was reminded that Mark was waiting at my home. I called my boyfriend, Leon, and apologized for not telling him it was scheduled but to graciously host Mark as I was a few minutes away. My step-son, Silas, and I were greeted by Mark and Leon upon our arrival. I was still very reluctant and annoyed that our evening would consist of nonsense solicitation. To my surprise, Mark's presentation and demonstrations were very informative and engaging. Mark was very professional and even included Silas in his demonstrations and paused to allow us to focus on a bit of homework time. As the evening went on and the demonstrations continued, we learned a lot about the horrible water we had been poisoning our bodies and home with. After the demonstrations, I was sold. Although our budget is very tight, hearing the breakdown of what we had been spending on expensive cleaners and bottled drinking water, this was an opportunity we could not resist. We are very interested in increasing the value of our home and could already see the drastic damage our home was taking from the hard water. Our system was installed the very next day. I had to leave out of town after installation and did not get to utilize the system for a few days. Leon and Silas took immediate advantage and scrubbed our previously dark brown grout on our tile floor back to its near new shade of off white. We have since enjoyed the benefits of delicious tasting water, spotless dishes and oh so lovely showers and baths. Leon and Silas have suffered with dry skin and both hate putting anything on their bodies, such as lotions or creams. I on the other hand have drawers and cabinets full of lotions and since moving to Arizona in June 2016, I have hated the dryness of my skin. Our water system has been a blessing, Leon and Silas have noticed their skin being more moist and Leon's dandruff has dramatically improved (Shhh, don't tell him I disclosed that). I do not use nearly as much lotion as I used to and can feel a difference in my how healthy my hair feels and looks. The reverse osmosis drinking water is the best part of all of it. No more struggling with cases and cases of water and I can feel comfortable allowing the boys (Julian, age 8; Jude, age 6; Silas, age 6 and Eliseo, age 4) to drink straight from the tap or refrigerator without worrying about finding half drank bottles around the house. We are truly happy with our system and would definitely recommend it to all of our friends and family members. Water Resources International sells a great product. Although we've only had our unit for one month we absolutely love it. Mark, our salesperson, was nice and knowledgeable about the unit. His demonstrations of the unit convinced us that this unit is far superior to other water softeners. We were already contemplating a water softener so we purchased the Hydro Quad and RO system. I wasn't present when the install crew installed the system but due to limited space I left detailed instructions on where I wanted the unit installed. The instructions were followed and my son remarked on how great the install crew was. The system works as advertised and our water went from hard to soft which is instantly noticeable especially in the shower. The RO system is fantastic and produces great tasting water. I have owned my Hydo-Quad since 1992. It came with a Lifetime Limited Warranty. I had a service tech out to fix some leaky seals. He charged me almost $300.00 (not including $100.00+ service call fee)for parts alone, that should have been free under the warranty. My guess is that the techs can charge whatever they can get, over and above...FREE! I questioned the tech about the warranty and he said they don't honor the warranty on the older systems anymore. I said that I never received a notice about my warranty being dropped. The entire time the tech kept trying to convince me to replace the system. With a trade-in of my current unit, it would only be $2200.00+. I asked about replacing the resin in my tank and he told me that would cost $550.00+ dollars and would not fix the issue. My resin is supposed to be covered under the limited lifetime warranty(minus M.R.A fees). This is nonsense. Never saw a bigger upsell in my life. I really hate to write such a review. However, they have seemed to change their business model without notifying their customers. They have no BBB accreditation. read more

This is a company that sells high-quality water softening equipment using door-to-door salesmenand word of mouth advertising. Mark, our salesperson, was nice, and very convincing. I could see through most of his sales tactics, but his demonstrations of the product spoke louder than he did. Pretty remarkable stuff, and since we were already contemplating a water softener, we signed up to receive our Hydro Quad and RO system. They "just happened" to have an install crew in our area the very next morning (how convenient!!....or fishy...). The install crew was great. Professional work, and very curteous. The system works as advertised, and our water went from hard and gritty to great-tasting water. However, as everyone experiences, we were feeling the buyer's blues and the stress of our recent purchase. The system's aren't cheap, and due to recent events, we really began to fret about the cost of the system. The back of the contract states that a buyer has 3 days to cancel the contract, so we decided that ultimately we'd be better off not going through with the purchase. On the third day I attempted to call the main office in Phoenix. It took me a few hours before I was finally able to contact Gayle, the man in charge. Frankly, it was nearly as hard as pulling teeth to contact him. I felt like I kept getting the run around. I finally met up with Gayle to deliver the contract signed, stating that we wished to return the system, and Gayle, while polite, sat me down and again tried to sell me on their system. It quickly got to the point of being pushy, at which point I told him so. He seemed a little upset, but ultimately obliged and allowed me to cancel the contract, stating that this "rarely happens." I was told I would be notified when a team would be around to uninstall my system. That was a week ago. This morning I got a phone call at 7:10 AM from Water Resources International. What kind of business calls at that hour? Even the morons on craigslist, for the most part, understand that you don't call people too early or too late at night. You'd think a business would understand that common courtesy. In summary, I don't have any complaints about the system itself. If you're willing to spend $5,000+ on their product, go right ahead. For me, it just didn't fit my budget, and extra debt is not something I need right now. Install crew was great (though still waiting on them to uninstall it) so far. I don't appreciate pushy sales tactics, or being coerced into making a big purchase without doing any research, which is what they require to give you the "best deal." I don't appreciate calls at 7AM, especially with a 4 month old in the house. In general, a little more caution and care in dealing with customers, even those of us who cancel our contracts, would be appreciated. I could have been a future customer, but recent events have pushed me away. read more

I bought my system in about 1996 and am still in love with my water! I love how my hair and skin feel after a shower, I love the TASTE of the water, and I love having my jeans stay BLACK instead of bleaching to gray with the city water. The negative is the cost of maintaining the system's filters and the products the system uses; but the maintenance is only necessary (for me) every 18-24 months, because I live alone and don't use as much water as a family of four might. I think the recommended schedule is something like every 25,000 gallons, but I might be wrong about that. As I said, I love my system and if I ever sell my house I will be moving it with me. One caution, though: MONITOR YOUR INSTALLER. Mine completely disconnected all outside faucets, so I have not been able to water my grass or wash my car for nearly 20 years! He wanted to charge me $100 to put the faucets back online. If I had been clever, I would have contacted WRI at the time, but I didn't. His reasoning was that I didn't want to waste my purified water on the grass, which kind of makes sense, but all he had to do was put a splitter on the water main, with one side to the faucets and the other to the purifier. I highly recommend you discuss this option before letting him begin work. read more

Let me start by saying that our water is serviced by Johnson Utilities which is currently under investigation for not caring for the water properly. We have only had our system about a week but Mark was great during the demonstration he included my older children to keep them entertained and was still able to keep on track to give us an educational view of our water. We already knew we needed a system every time we gave our twins a bath our son would break out in a bright red rash all over his face and body. They came and installed our unit the very next day after we agreed it was the best price we have seen for a system that had the option for financing that included install. The very first bath we gave the twins we had no redness, no rash. My older children both girls also noticed the difference in their hair. They were able to brush their hair with ease no ripping and pulling. Me and My husband also noticed the difference right away our skin feels soft after showering and prior it was like we had a film covering our bodies. Living here in Arizona and dealing with its hard water I want to express how pleased I'm with my Hydro-Quad Water processor I purchased from you it started with how professional and knowledgeable I found your install crew to be (Kudos). After using this system for a day I notice my coffee tasted better plus I use less coffee to get the same bold strength. After a few days of showering my hair was much softer and my skin is to the touch, and I was using significantly less shampoo and conditioner doing laundry and washing dishes the same holds true. Trying to get in touch with these people is imposible. My system is leaking after 9 years and I have ho problem with that. Nine years is pretty good service life. It can be repaired and the only problem is the local dealer states I will have to pay for the parts because water resources doesn't concider the bypass valve to be part of the unit???? It sits on top of the Resin tank and therefore is part of the unit. Go figure. I called water resources and had to leave a message as the gentleman I was supposed to talk to was on the phone. No return call after 2 weeks. I E-mailed them and after one week no reply. This is unexceptible and there fore I have to emphatically state that I would never do business with Water Resources or any of their dealers ever again. Their Unconditional Life Time Warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. read more

We just purchased our second Hydro-Quad unit. We left the first one with our old house when we sold it. When building our current home, we decided to "save money" and bought a different unit that was considerably less expensive. After about 18 months we couldn't take it anymore and bought another unit, again, trying to save money, we did not go with the Hydro-Quad. Well, fast forward to year five. Enough is enough. We bought the Hydro-Quad. Ahhhhhhh. For those who feel as if they were financially ripped off, please realize that you are dealing with independent companies that sell the product, just like different car dealers sell Ford or Chevrolet.. Don't confuse the seller with the manufacturer. Check out your seller thoroughly and never get pressured into signing a contract until you have done so. Because I knew exactly what I wanted, I called WRI and got the name of a retailer for my area. I contacted the retailer, told them I was a repeat customer and did not want or need a sales person, asked them to give me a price and I would make my decision. We did some negotiating, I got the unit and the deal was done. My only regret is not getting the Hydro-Quad in the first place. read more

We have had our unit since 1998. I can't stand drinking other peoples city water now. Worth every penny!! Only 1 time did I have a problem, it was after 10 years and the timer broke, a plastic piece became brittle. The part was covered under warranty. Many of the reviews on this site are pretty negative. Personally i don't have any complaints. The system does what they promised, it was installed as promised, we haven't had any problems with leaks or any other issues with the system. After several weeks of use we are overall happy, we can drink the water from the faucet and will be able to get rid of our rented water machine. Our dishes are clean and our house is easier to clean without the use of hard water, it just looks better. It is an expensive investment and one should be sure they are are ready to take it on but we have been very pleased with the system from day one till now! read more
