If your organization made such a determination, it was not communicated to me in any form. I was contacted directly by a coordinator from your rescue, who requested my vet information and photos of my home, which I provided. I also have documented text threads confirming communication from your team. My review was strictly about lack of follow-up and inconsistent communication. A simple message with an update--whatever the decision--would have resolved the matter. I hope future applicants receive clearer and more timely communication so they aren't left without information after providing personal details.

Other reviewers have mentioned that in the past, like most pet stores, the animals came from "breeders". HOWEVER, on a visit today I was thrilled to see that their puppy and kitten sales policy has made a dramatic, and really admirable, turn for the better! Not only have the small cages disappeared, but the pups and cats for sale are ALL rescue dogs from the Humane Society and other rescue groups! The cages have been replaced by nice sized rooms that hold 2-3 puppies which can be seen cuddling and playing together. It's such a pleasant and uplifting change. This place is dirty, your employees are eating at the check out. Just a sloppy dirty place. There was a dog in the back room near the wash station barking frantically the day we we were there. I will gladly drive somewhere else for a cleaner environment. Oh, and not to mention, I will never buy my dogs raw food or Open farm kibble here because it's so much more expensive than where I currently buy it. The person who took my dog in the morning was completely inappropriate with dogs, yelling "no" at them. The introductory package should have meant more one on one time with my dog, but I don't feel like that happened. I addressed it with the owner, but don't know if any action, if any was taken to insure other dogs would not be yelled at. I like Charlene but would absolutely not recommend based on the person she hired to take care of dogs in the morning.

Really great to have all of his energy burned off and be socialized at the same time. As he got bigger, they put him in with the older dogs to learn and play. The facility is clean and safe and everyone on staff loves dogs and take great care of their clients! Charlene's has also been super reliable in doing walks from home on those days were daycare is too much for our guy. They've had our garage code for almost a decade and it's been flawless. Mud is never trampled into the house. These walks give him plenty of exercise, rain or shine! Our dog is starting age out of daycare, but occasionally still goes and is really excited to get there on those mornings. They've also been very flexible in accommodating sudden problems with scheduling or basic forgetfulness on my part. Great customer service for owners, love and care for pets!

I found another of their dogs that I thought would be a better fit so I asked about that one. They never gave me any inot on the other dog and I then got a text saying they denied me as an adopter because I hadn't vaccinated my 2 dogs in a few years. I explained to them that my husky had a horrible reaction to his last vaccines and the vet couldn't tell us which one it was from. My Pom was 10 and had an enlarged heart. I didn't want anything to happen to either one of them so I stopped the vaccines. My dogs never leave my home other than to go to the vet. However this rescue doesn't care. They would rather I risk the health of my dogs to follow some strict rule of theirs. I told them they needed to get to know us and not just what we are on paper. They never replied. Rescues preach adopt, don't shop. Yet a loving home like mine is denied? Horrible horrible way to protect and save precious lives!!!
