I got 2 leopard geckos here, both of them where in HORRIBLE condition, one was loosing his toes, not eating, and had no energy, another was loosing toes, starving, and cold (not dead) And a year later the one that was not eating, had no energy, and loosing his toes passed away. I went in to do what I thought was a vaccine clinic. Making the appointment was easy and they actually took me in early which was cool. But, they took my dog back saying I opted for some service and wouldn't let me go back with her. I went in mainly for rabies vaccine. Moments later they asked if I wanted bordatella and Lyme and distemper saying she was due. OK. Nothing about side effects. They brought her back saying she might be sleepy. She is more than just sleepy, she won't move, I tried to pick her up and she freaked out like she was in intense pain. Maybe it is a side effect of the vaccine, but I will never again let them take my dog without me being there to observe. Now, I am watching her and hoping she will feel better in 24 to 48 hours. read more

I had never been to this Petco location before but I'm extremely glad I decided to get my sheltie groomed here! Autumn the groomer was extremely patient with my high strung dog. While I was waiting I did some browsing for a lead and a sales associate named Kai came to me immediately to offer assistance. We had a really nice experience at Petco today, when our dogs met Santa. It was a hoot. The employees were patient and tried to capture a perfect picture, which they did. The proceeds benefit a local cat rescue organization. I shopped for and found great dog toys, but was not impressed with the dog bed selection. They have live fish, small pets and reptiles. Tons of pet foods for all animals. Cute gifts for the holidays too. read more

The staff member that assisted us yesterday was great! She was everything you need in a staff member; patient, calm, willing to answer many questions, and lastly polite which goes a long way. Wish they had on name tags so I can share her name. The store manager was awesome as well he rang us up and asked about our experience so we shared. We will surely be back I want a snake lol. read more

I do NOT reccommend Pottstown Petco for grooming. They've nicked my shih Tzu/lhaso apso so many times I can't keep track, would keep her for 4-5 hours and extended time just waiting in the kennel to be started and also to be picked up, they never answer the phone and are super rude so I stopped going and went to Rofo. My German shepherd puppy is shedding really bad and so I saw they had a 12pm appt and so I booked. I needed to run errands so I tried to call ahead earlier in the day TWICE with no answer. I came 15 mins late and the groomer refused to take my dog even tho he would have been sitting in the crates bc the groomer was working on a dog that had been there for hours and she wasn't going to start my dog right at 12 (they never do and I was ok with it). When I spoke to the manager she told me it's up to the groomer if they wanna take it and told me I should've called to confirm I could still bring him late but I did and they didn't answer! She then told me I should've left a message but I always do and they take up to a week to get back to you. It was a waste of time and really inconvenienced me and they were not sympathetic or understanding and walked away from me right then and there. The manager then let it slip that they actually double booked and didn't really have time to do my dog anyways and next time "don't make a same day appointment". They don't care about your dogs they just care about the $$. Please take your fur babies elsewhere. Tori at Petco Rofo is great. The Vetco staff and hospital is great and is the main reason I keep going back to the location. read more

The pros of this store is the selection list. There is a lot to choose from perhaps more than other stores. But the dog training classes are maybe average and the cons. One of the classes were cancelled last minute while I was already there waiting. This is after trying to contact the trainer to find out if the class was going to be canceled due to weather. She called days later to reschedule. Tried to contact her at the store multiple times but never got a response. Also texted her and still nothing. Finally decided to stop trying. read more

Lackluster first time experience. Empty store, 3 non-welcoming employees. Poor service, no information about 3 overpriced green parakeets that we bought. Never told their wings were clipped. GO TO ZIMMERS IN BOYERTOWN. Birds were so colorful. Customers service was amazing. We were asked about the environment the birds were to be placed in, asked if we ever owned birds, given advice, food was discussed. They review the Do's and Dont's. Birds were also $20 dollars less and THEY ASKED US IF WE WANTED THE WINGS CUT. At this point I have 2 that fly (Zimmmers) and 3 that can't. (Petco) Per the internet it may take months to a year for them to fly and then THEY HAVE TO PRACTICE AND LEARN AGAIN!!! Just called Petco. It was offered that I bring back the birds and the woman was quite nice. I will not be bringing back the birds as I've had them for 4 days and they have adjusted to this environment. To bring them back would be as cruel as making them flightless. read more

Well Lady Rosa Barks looks splendid. She loved her groomer. The downside was the nearly 5 hour process. I know you were a groomer down and luckily I had taken the day off. We used to have a visiting groomer which was a 1 hour process. We will have to adapt. read more

Everyone I have met there has been very nice and they all offer to help find things, or will check in back if a shelf spot is empty. They also have ordered items for me that they no longer carry in their store. My favorite part though is the grooming. Kelly was the first person to ever groom my dog when I first got her as a rescue, and when I tell her we are "going to see Kelly and get pretty" she about turns inside out with joy. Most of the time we have had the same groomer but after watching several of them, I have to say all the ones I have seen seem very good. read more

Horrendous service. The place was empty. We went to get some fish for the kids. There was a girl working in the fish area 5 feet from us washing rocks. Evidently washing rocks is more important than greeting or even acknowledging customers. After 15 minutes of waiting she just walked away. Went and asked the front desk for someone to help. Another 10 minutes and not a soul came to assist. If ran my sales reps like this my company wouldn't exist. If you like being ignored, having your time wasted, and not getting what you want, I highly recommend this place! read more

Went here looking for aquarium and info about fish. The service I received was excellent. Staff was helpful and attentive. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Store was crowded but I was impressed by the cleanliness. A return shop for sure. read more

They did not have much to choose from for rabbit supplies. I would have expected a large chain store to have a better selection for small animals. The store could have been cleaner as well. read more
