I love this store. I have 4 Guinea pigs and they will only eat one brand of nibbles. Petsmart always has the Tropical Carnival nibbles and I am so very grateful. They are usually on a great sale of buy one get one half off too. Plus the Pottstown location is only about a or two mile away. I actually purchased two of my Guinea pigs here. They were a brand new arrival and I never had them so young before. I was lucky to get my precious princess pigs . The store associate was friendly and helpful. I often take my small fuzzy dog to PetSmart in Exton to be groomed. I know how PetSmart works. I haven't had any problems with the Exton location. They always do a beautiful job and don't cut her too short. I occasionally take my dog to the Pottstown location. My dog needed a sanitary trim because she is fuzzy and I don't want to have to clean her each time she goes out. I didn't want a full cut because they trim her too short in Pottstown and she gets cold in the winter. I ordered the bath and brush. The service includes: Oxygen-infused bath with shampoo & blow dry 15-minute brushing Nail trim Ear cleaning, hair removal & flushing (if needed) Scissoring feet & pad shaving Sanitary trim Anal gland cleaning At drop off, the girl commented that my dogs fur wasn't matted. I explained that I bathe her and brush her often, but she needs the sanitary trim. When I returned the dog was still a little wet. I didn't care. I commented again that I was happy to get the sanitary trim. The girl explained that my dog was "freaked out" from the blow-dryer, and she didn't trim under her tail. When she tried my fuzzy little dog kept sitting down. She's under 10 pounds. They couldn't have picked her up? I'm not sure what was done from the above list. The world is awful right now, so I still gave her a tip. I need to find a reliable groomer. read more

Went to get a Beta fish for my 5 year old, and 3/4ths of the fish were dead covered in fungus. The other 1/4 you could tell were unwell. A very unpleasant site for an excited little kid. Took our business to the privately owned pet store up the road. read more

Took my cat in to be groomed and it was the worst job of grooming ever. Bella was traumatized and when I took her to a new groomer and had her groomed again they said she was scared snd had never been that way before with my original groomer. Would not recommend then to groom any animal let alone a cat read more

BEWARE: took My Austria Shepherd in for grooming. If you know anything about the breed they have a beautiful longer coat. I came back to pick up an entirely different looking dog. Went in to get my dog groomed. I dropped him off and got a call soon after telling me that my dog is "aggressive" and need to he picked up immediately. My dog is the most friendliest dog ever and has been to many groomers. I have no idea what the groomer did to my dog, but he is far from aggressive. I would never recommend anyone to bring their pets here. I will gladly stick to Petco. read more

Just don't go for grooming. The kid at the front of the store was professional and very helpful. Absolutely disgusted with how I was treated in grooming when I walked in for a simple toe nail clipping for my dog. Mind you I called ahead was told to arrive by 1:30pm. Apparently I am considered a "walk in" and the groomer made it known to the entire building she was not taking ANYMORE walk ins! And continued to be rude. I don't care how busy you are or how hectic your day is. It's simply rude and I wanted to walk right out. And if my kids weren't present I probably would have made it known I was upset. Then the groomer who could help me came out asked if anything with our dog they should be aware of (mind you he's been here once before they have his records on file) told her he sometimes has seizures but he's not epileptic or on medication and she still wouldn't Take him had to reschedule two weeks out because he had a seizure a week ago. But the appointment I went to prior no one said that and when I said he had seizures no one mentioned that either. Also, to complain about his prior appointment I paid for our dog to get a pawdicure which included cologne for the dog and bandana. They didn't do any of that and I still paid $25. the staff is just rude, that associate that was nasty looked so angry I'd be afraid she'd take it out on my dog. I wouldn't leave my animal to these people. If your day is this hectic from grooming dogs find a new job! read more

Took my pup there for a nail trimming and bath.. they said they would call me when she was finished.. I waited 2 hours before I went in and asked where she was. They brought her out right away. So how long was my dog in a crate for? They took her collar off and never put it back on her so I had to run all the way back in to get it. When I first went to petsmart about a month ago, someone convinced me to buy a coupon book (20$) from there that came with a free bath and nail trimming. When I went to check out, they said they couldn't give it to me for free because she was too old.. my dog is fu**ing 7 months old and no one mentioned there is an age requirement. Last time I will ever go to any petsmart. Oh and her ears are still dirty. Thanks petsmart and all your employees. read more

I took my dog to this location for a shampoo and haircut with nail trim. I was quoted 53.00. I picked my dog up and he was shaved almost bald. He was actually pink colored, all skin with just a bit of hair. No bows, no bandanas, no smell. Was my dog even bathed? Worst off, I was charged 85 dollars for this and when I found the manager his excuse was I was under quoted and should have been paying 85 all along so enjoy the couple times before that it was 53. My quote was given to me in writing before the cut and not honored. My dog looked embarrassing to say the least and I was charged extra. Everyone always tells me how cute my dog is but everyone laughed at him for a couple months. read more

I went to get my dog groomed and I have to say I questioned if she was even bathed because she didn't even smell fresh and clean. Her fur didn't look very clean I think I have better luck cleaning her myself at this point what a waste of 120 bucks I fit everything in the service including a twenty dollar tip just to find that u wasn't happy at all with the service! I took my puppy cut Briard to this location to be groomed, and was very specific as to what we were asking for. They shaved her bald. She has razor burn on her butt, ears, and neck. Her toes were cut and bleeding. I asked for a size 5 overall body cut and they had to have done a smaller size. She is bald. They charged me $98 to shave my poor beautiful briard. She is a hot mess. Macie, my four-legged-Shorkie-daughter, was supposed to have a grooming appointment on Thursday, but an opening came up and Miss Tina was able to take her! As always, Macie is excited to see her, and showers her with a ton of kisses! On a side note...we have been coming to Miss Tina since Macie started getting groomed (about four years ago)! Anyway, I got my message that her appointment was done, and when I got there, Macie was perfect! Her haircut was exactly what I envisioned, she smelled amazing, she was smiling from ear to ear, and she had the cutest bow in her hair. After getting my welcoming smooches from Macie, she saved some for her favorite groomer, Miss Tina. Miss Tina treats us like family, and takes impeccable care of Macie. I accidentally ran out of the prescription food ZD that all 3 of my shepherds have to eat because of their horrible food allergies. We stopped in to pick up a small bag as it was a Sunday and my vet wouldn't be open until the following morning. The cashier was not only less than helpful, he was rude and he lied to my husband and me. He told us it was "illegal" to sell us the food without a written prescription. Being that I work in a veterinary office that carries and sells ZD, I know that this is false. He then continued to tell us that it's controlled by the state (also not true). When my husband asked if he was comfortable letting our dogs go hungry tonight, he said yes. Thanks for nothing, Petsmart. You've lost our business. read more

I'm highly disappointed. For the second time my puppy was injured. The first time was in June. He had an injury to the tips of both ears because he was shaved due to matting. The groomer did not tell me at all. The injuries were discovered after we came home. This time, his nail was cut too short and he was bleeding. She never finished cutting his nails and told me to come back in a few days when my puppy was 'less stressed'. His cut is completely uneven and basically she shaved him yet AGAIN. The back of his head was even shaved down and I asked specifically that it did not get cut. Totally unnecessary. He looks ridiculous. From my understanding, he seemed stressed this visit and wouldn't let the groomer brush him out or trim his nails. Totally not his character. The groomer may need to have a little more patience. Petco never had to SHAVE my puppy. They take their time no matter the knots or tangles. He is Bichon Frise and he looks like an unrecognizable breed Oh and dare I forget to mention that the last two times, he comes back with a very funky smell. I have taken my dog to petsmart for grooming for a while now. I pay for the express service (costs extra) haircut, nails, bath (with special shampoo which costs extra) and she's done within the hour. The last 2 appts I've noticed my dog doesn't smell clean. When I bathe her she smells fresh and clean, plus she isn't the least bit damp when I pick her up! When I bathe her I blow dry her for at least 20 min to 1/2 hr min and her fur is still slightly damp up to an hr later, due to her coat being so dense. My question is how can the groomer give a bath and blow dry, haircut, comb out, nails put bows on in an hr and my dogs underbody, ears and feet not smell clean? Granted I'm not a professional groomer but my nose doesn't lie! Going back to my mobile groomer which cost a few more $$$$ but at least I know she gets a bath cause when I get her back she is still slightly damp and she smells clean! read more

This is a large pet supplies store with plenty of selections to choose from. I have a rabbit which is sometimes harder to find supplies for in smaller stores. They have a wide variety of hay and food pellets where other stores might only have 1 or 2 types of each. The people who work there are always very helpful and friendly. read more

I just want to start by saying I always take my dog to petsmart, both collegeville and Pottstown locations and have never had any issues BEFORE now. I literally just called to see if they had any openings for a haircut and I have never been treated so rudely before! Not only did they talk down to me BUT I mentioned several times I had been there before but after saying they had no openings for tomorrow I asked if Sunday had any - after which HE HUFFED and PUFFED about having to "check" - to which a RUDE woman came on the line and began to harass me with a bunch of questions to which I said you have all of my dogs info on file - and she said "I told her I had never been there" again in a tone no one would appreciate - I told her never mind I'll take my dog elsewhere from now on.
