I really need to switch providers. My street regularly gets forgotten or skipped over. Trash pick up doesn't happen often and recycling often gets mixed in with regular trash pick up. I have had the most challenging time trying to schedule yard waste disposal. I've called to seek understanding as to why things are the way they are, but I continually get no true answer. I applaud their phone representatives for answering truthfully - "I don't know." NEVER get WastePro if you have a choice! I live in Gadsden County Florida and it's a 50/50 chance my garbage and recycles are picked up weekly. When you call in you get the usual scripted lip service that they are coming. Once again, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't! I sent a letter to the VP in my area and he didn't even have the courtesy to respond! I am trying my best to have my local politicians not renew their contract.Once I get a van I will dump them (pun intended) and get rid of my own garbage. I hate paying for a service I don't get. Never sign up with these people. They don't answer phones when you call to report missed pickups, because you WILL have missed pickups. Then calls roll to a mailbox, with a message that its always full. Then if you don't pay in ADVANCE they send you to external collection agency. They expect you to pay for service you don't get. Unbelievable because it's Florida they get away with this. Bill has gone up and up and up and now just did 15.00 jump in price no notice. They require online auto pay, they charge a ridiculous amount. Worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. I signed up for service in early December. They missed the first 3 pick-ups. I called each time and was told that they would refund me the missed pick-up (never did) or that they would come back around to get my missed house (never did). I finally requested they turn my service off and was told they would refund the prepayment for the quarter (never did). I disputed the charge on my credit card to get my money back. After all of this, they came to reclaim the garbage can and dumped the trash they never picked-up on my front lawn. read more

We are dumping the NEGATIVE 5-Star company Waste Connections for poor service, over-pricing, raising prices two years in a row with no advance notice. Their customer service sucks as well. Bev, at Waste Pro and Glenda, the supervisor, gave honest, up front and excellent customer service when I called to sign up with them... Their prices beat Waste Connections by a wide margin, and they don't charge the customer for NON-service when the pick up day falls on a Holiday. I was a customer with Waste Pro for at least 3 years. I recently cancelled my service on 4/29/24 and was told I would get a refund within a month. I called back on 5/30/24 to follow up and was told that the refund was not processed and fell through the cracks. The lady Patricia stated that it would be processed within the week, and I would get an ACH credit to the account. I followed up again on 6/6/24 and was told by the same person that it just processed that day, and I would get the funds by Monday. Today I go to look in my account and still no money. I called yet again, and she answered so I asked to speak to a manager. I was then transferred to Kim the person that did the credit and was told a check would be sent out in a week. I find it hard to believe it takes 7 weeks to process a credit. I told Kim that if I was late on my payment they would stop service immediately, but it takes almost two months to process a refund. She is still trying to resolve the situation, but I feel that this is just ridiculous and very unprofessional. I asked the first time when I called on 5/30/24 "what would have happened if I didnt call to check on the refund to which the person said oh we would have refunded you". I highly doubt they would have. Since 5/30/24 I have made three calls to follow up on this. All I want is the money that is owed back to me and almost 7 weeks later that has not happened, and I continue to get lame excuses that are unacceptable. read more

Waste Pro, you hit the tree of one of my neighbors. "So this morning, a waste pro driver hit a huge oak tree in my yard. I called Waste Pro three times and no one called me back to investigate, explain or apologize. I called the sheriffs department and they said they couldn't do anything about it because the driver was no longer there. Here are some pictures of the damage caused by WASTE PRO. I've been using Waste Pro for 2 years and continuously have issues. I am scheduled for pick up twice a week, but more often than not it's only once a week. Don't bother calling, no one answers. I set up service at the above address on 10/13/2022 and was supposed to have pickup on Friday. There was no pickup that day and I was told it would be Saturday. I didn't get service on Saturday and I left for a short trip until 10/20. My trash was not picked up on Tuesday either or today 10/21. I called Friday 10/14 and was assured pickup on Saturday 10/15. This didn't happen, and when I arrived home late Thursday 10/20 my garbage hadn't be taken on Tuesday 10/18. I called Friday morning at 8:03 AM and spoke with Shelia, and later with another representative. Still no pick up and talked with Shelia at 4:30PM and was told they pick up until 6:30Pm and they were sending a trash ben. As of 8PM no ben or pickup. I unfortunately paid in full and from what I read I assume I will never get my refund. NEVER GET INVOLDED WITH THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY. I should have read the reviews, but needed trash pickup since my great company Waste Connections doesn't service Safety Harbor any more. read more

Ordered service. Short and rude over the phone during the setup on a Wednesday. Was told we would have our trash and recycling receptacles by the end of the week. Called Friday and we we told that it could take up to a week for delivery. Called the following Tuesday, Was told that we've have them by the end of the day. Called the next day Wednesday and we we're told the same thing. Still nothing. Called Thursday the next day after they said thay they would refund us our money if we hadn't received them by the end of business on Wednesday. All they acted was short and condescending. And still nothing. Requested to speak to leadership? NOTHING. Here we are 1 1/2 weeks later and all we have is a pile of trash and recycling and no refund. When will it end worh these people. I'm on the HOA, yay me, and we are really happy with Waste Pro. Started with my garbage was not picked up today. Finally called in the afternoon to inquire why. The woman who answered the call after being on hold for 20 minutes told me that my bill was not paid. I told her that I had an automatic payment set up. She told me that my credit card was declined. Well I knew that was not possible which I explained and she said again it was declined. So I said I would check with Visa and gave her the information on my card (same card) and she said it was again declined. I went ahead and gave her another card. Immediately afterwards I called visa and inquired if there was a problem with my card and they said no it was fine and that nothing had been declined on the card. Asked them to specifically check if Wastepro had been declined twice and it had not. And nothing in the last hour. I was so pissed I called back and got some guy who wanted to mansplain to me how to set up my pay account. I told him that I was LIED TO by the person I had called before and he raised his voice to tell me the same thing. I am so upset with this company. The people who pick up are great but everyone in the office should be fired. Oh and by the way I still have garbage that has not been picked up. read more

I recently switched for better pricing and the option to have curbside recycling. They were friendly setting up my account. I had to be added to a waiting list, that was a few weeks out. That was fine as my old service was still active during that time. They delivered the new trash can as promised and within the time frame given. I have used this service for several years and am constantly disappointed by the pick up and customer service. If you call they give you a recorded message that asks you to press 1 over and over until they disconnect the call. Holidays will almost guarantee that your trash will never get picked up. Our experience with Waste Pro over the past couple of years has been terrible! Their garbage pickup is sporadic at best and they've apparently all together stopped picking up our recycling. And this is even worse since they've raised their rates a while back!!! My husband leaves the recycling at the curb in hopes that they will eventually collect and has seen them just throw it into the truck with the garbage! I hate to leave a bad review but Lord have mercy on us in Santa Rosa County off Hwy 87. It was slack before, but after new cans, somebody out there, PLEASE HELP THE TRASH SERVICE IN OUR COUNTY. We get these new trash cans and a NICE colorful brochure telling us when to put the grey trash can out on Mondays, brown on Fridays and blue on Fridays if you pay the extra 9 per mo and get recycle for blue cans. So Mondays come and go and Wastepro does NOT come. I looked down my road and everybody that has Gray Wastepro out is still by the road and has not been touched. This has happened every week since the change. I do no know why this keeps happening. I have several friends and relatives that live closer to Hwy 98 off Hwy 87 in Navarre, and the same goes for them. They said its a guessing game to see when the Waste pro truck will come so they and their neighbors has to keep their trash bins by the roads all week long because every single week it has been on a different day and to many weeks to count, that they have completely missed and we have paid more money and gotten below sub par service. If I could have 1/2 a start that would be more accurate! 1st - Invoice always arrived after auto pay completed. This was not terrible when Waste Pro picked up our recycles and solid waste. However, the last 3 weeks they have not picked up our recycles. The payment just recently taken was to cover now through June. No pickup on recycle - each time we called we were told they will pick it up tomorrow. Tomorrow has yet to come. Last week they picked up the solid waste but left the bags of leaves (which are part of the normal pickup). Yesterday when we called - because our recycle was not picked up we were told that we have not been paying for recycling - but no explanation as to why it wasn't picked up. We were bounced to the manager in the call center in another state - who assured us our recycle would be picked up. I am writing this the next day and it is still out there. DO NOT sign on for this company! We have cancelled our service - whether we are refunded our money remains to be seen. read more

They apologized and said they would send someone Friday and that did not happen either. 12/29/17 I agree totally with Florida girl G. Since trash was not picked up on Christmas day there is twice as much trash in our neighborhood as usual and it did not get picked up on Thursday (our 2nd regular day). Since they will not pick it up on Monday Jan.1st it may be the following Thursday which will mean 4x the normal garbage. It's time to call the county about this company. The only time I was able to reach them was when I called billing. When I threatened to cancel my service and asked for my money back they bent over backwards to try to keep my business. I have Waste Pro Florida as my trash pickup. They have been randomly missing days for months. They did not pickup last Thursday. I called Friday and they assured me that they would pick it up Monday. They skipped Monday as well. I called again this morning and again they said they would pick it up today. Nope. I called at 4:30 and they said they were on their way. At 6:30 a guy in a pickup came and only took the garbage from my cans. I got a voice mail message saying that there were 30 bags of leaves and your contract only allows for 5 and for a charge of $50 they would get the rest. I have been doing yard work since last weekend and if they had picked up the bags last Thursday, there would not have been that many as I continued to add to the pile.
