If you enjoy a good quality hot dog, you'll find it super hard to not stop by this roadside food…read moretruck while in South Lake Tahoe. They serve up some gosh darn delicious quality hot dogs. They have a variety of dogs... all beef, Italian sausage, spicy hot link, elk, bison, boar, and beyond brat (vegan). Look for the food truck in the parking lot with a Shell gas station on Highway 50. The dogs are served up plain or you can get them specialized as in a Chicago dog, Sonoran dog, chili cheese, etc. The dogs range $7.50-$15. Plus they got fries$5-13. Those too are served plain or specialized. My faves are the chili fries, Chicago dog, and New York style dog. The chili is no beans and the fries are double fried giving them an extra crispy layer of crust. I do have to tell them light on the onions and mustard because they give you a full bang for your buck and load it up. But Hubs likes it that way. I like to wash it all down with their homemade lemonade. It's the real deal, made with lemons, sugar, and water. The $6 lemonade is served up in a whomping 32 ounce container. Get this, they serve breakfast as well. You can get an egg, cheese, hash brown on an 8 inch Italian roll or bowl. $9.50. Add bacon, sausage or steak $2.50-$4.50 extra.

I can't remember the specific hotdog I got, but it had onions and peppers on top with mustard. It was pretty good. They're a bit pricey, but everything is pricy these days. I wouldn't mind going again and trying some of their other hot dogs.

That's exactly what I did. I went on yelp and picked good eats and thats when I stumbled upon Umai Savory Hot Dogs. Upon entering the restaurant I was quite surprised that it wasn't busy at all. It's a pretty cool spot to hang out at. The menu items all looked pretty interesting. I ordered the honolulu bang bang, truffle fries, and baga sliders. I have to say wow these did not disappoint. I love the sliders! The sauce was so delicious. I could not stop eating the truffle fries! So hot and crispy! I love pineapple so the honolulu bang bang was the perfect choice for me. I can't wait to go back and try the wings. I also have to mention about how nice the cashier was. She took the time to explain about some of the menu items. I also see her working very hard and multitasking. I will definitely go back to try more delicious food.

John and his team have your hot dogs covered for your dining pleasure in western Placer County. It's mid afternoon, Saturday, June 07, 2025, and I'm enjoying the Rocklin Brewfest 2025 and I'm in the mood for a delicious hot dog. I've come to the right place, as Doggiestyle Hot Dogs was on site, and serving hot dogs for all to enjoy. This is a pop-up restaurant that servers hot dogs at events all over western Placer County. I went with a "Quarter Pound Nathan Dog," How can you beat that for a great hot dog? The dog began with a quarter pound Nathan's Hot Dog, which was grilled to perfection by hot dog chef John, on site, at the Rocklin Brewfest. The dog was simply perfect, and fitted perfectly with the large, fresh bun, which was a start for an amazing lunch. On to the condiments! The trip to the nearby condiment bar was worthwhile, as I added a cornucopia of condiments, including mustard, mayonnaise, dill pickle relish, chopped white onion, sauerkraut and especially peperoncini, which is a rare treat for hot dogs. I suppose you could call my hot dog loaded? No ketchup whatsoever, as I never desecrate a hot dog by adding ketchup. Not to mention... may I say my dog was loaded with delicious condiments? One bite into the dog I was rewarded with a refreshing "snap," thanks to the natural casing on Nathan's Hot Dog, which made the hot dog both worthwhile and simply delicious. The condiments I added simply enhanced the dog, and didn't take anything away from the amazing hot dog, and the fresh bun. Such a delicious hot dog! Chef John knows how to grill a hot dog, and the Nathan's Hot Dog he grills are as good as it gets. I tip my cowboy hat to chef John, and his delicious hot dogs! Five star dining for all of you who love a delicious hot dog.
