The other key component is planned interaction between students of all 8 grades. Going into 3rd grade, with the same teacher my daughter had in 1st and 2nd grade, she was anticipating the classes and activities that are attributed annually to the 3rd grade. I've never seen him adapt so quickly to a childcare center - or be so proud of his budding skills (putting shoes on, packing his book bag). The teachers are very caring and love those kids dearly. The curriculum is great, they are exposed to Russian and French as well as many different field trips and visits from local professionals (firefighters, police, karate instructors). There are spring, summer, fall and winter parties for all of your family to go and enjoy if your schedule allows, there are a few picnics on weekends and there is a parents night out. Parents can be as involved or not involved as they'd like. There is an open door policy and I have dropped in at random times to find everyone so cheerful and well taken care of. They go to Cherry Hill Park and the library across the street almost daily as long as weather permits. My husband and I work full time and I have to say they are wonderful when it comes to staying open with inclement weather as much as they possibly can. In the past 2 years I can barely count on one hand the number of times they have opened late or closed early because of snow. They really do all they can to be there for us working parents because a lot of us have jobs that don't close for snow like the government does. Elena is the owner/director and she is so greatly involved with everything. She's very responsive to all e-mails, phone calls. She's often there working with the kids and teachers. In a nutshell, I will be so sad for my daughter to graduate and be going to kindergarten in the fall. This is an amazing school and I'd recommend it to anyone.

It is expensive, but really worth it. The director, Brie, is a delight and so proactive. Mrs. Rose, Jovanna and all the teachers are so great with the kids and being able to watch them on their amazing streaming video on their app gives us a great deal of comfort. You can tell the teachers really love the jobs and the children. My wife and I could not be more happy with Everbrook!

Here is the nomination I submitted for Teacher of the Year:…read more Nomination for Teacher of the Year: Ms. Danielle Smith Ms. Danielle Smith is the epitome of an educator, caregiver, and professional. Our daughter has been in Ms. Danielle's class since she was 15 months old and will soon be turning two. In that time, I've witnessed the profound impact Ms. Danielle has had on her development. It's clear to see that Ms. Danielle's deep love for teaching shines through in everything she does with our child. Our daughter has flourished under Ms. Danielle's guidance: learning letters, shapes, colors, numbers (in both English and Spanish), new sign language words, songs, dances, and so much more. But beyond just the educational milestones, Ms. Danielle has inspired a curiosity and love for learning in our daughter that will last a lifetime. As parents, we place an immense level of trust in our children's teachers-not only to help them grow but also to keep them safe. With Ms. Danielle, I never worry. She is always attentive, nurturing, thoughtful, creative, and approachable. Both my husband and I feel completely comfortable reaching out to her with any questions or concerns regarding our child. I greatly admire the level of communication she maintains with families and how she always partners with us in the care, growth, and development of our daughter. Although our daughter will soon be moving on to a new class, our family will forever be grateful for the love and dedication Ms. Danielle has shown to her. She is a truly exceptional teacher, and we feel lucky to have had her in our child's life. With sincere gratitude, The Stevens Family Waldorf, MD

We asked the front desk assistant if we needed to reschedule (since we did leave work for the tour) and she said "well today is pizza Friday and it will be a few more minutes (but couldn't tell us how many more minutes). First impressions are super important...if we are scheduling a tour to potentially place our children in this school, things should have been organized and prepared. Not to mention this tour was scheduled three weeks ago. This was totally unprofessional and frustrating as my husband and I both left work to attend this "tour". Also, I could understand had she said take a seat in the lobby we'll be with you in a moment, we are taking care of something but she didn't and then mentioned the tour was only 30 minutes and that we were the only tour for this day....as if our scheduled tour wasn't important. I am most definitely not sending my children here if the tour alone was unprofessional.
