The worst experience ever for a 4 years old little girl, First she was bitten by another girl and…read moreher arm was swollen she cried for the whole night I sent an email to the school management to address my safety concern unfortunately they ignored me and until today I never heard back from them. Another incident She was hit by another boy in her classroom he hit her with a toy truck and her forehead was red and swollen, when I arrived to her classroom he was hugging her and she was crying and when I asked her what happened she told me in front of Mrs.Worley(the owner) that he hit her and none of her teachers were paying attention to what was going on and I didn't even get an incident report. Before this incident I asked her teacher to make sure that this boy doesn't touch her or hit her but the teacher replied I have 24 kids in my classroom and I can't keep eyes on your daughter all the time (which is true their classroom is packed with 24 kids) of course they can't pay attention to all of them. After 6 months I've decided to move her to another school for her safety and for me to have a peace of mind because I don't trust them anymore watching her. Another big issue comes up which is their monthly statement and their billing system it's the worst ever. Their monthly statement is not clear even their admin teacher couldn't explain it to me and said we will have Mrs.Worley reach out to you because they couldn't answer my simple questions !! They over charged me for the summer activities they charge me 495$ instead of 315$ my daughter never been to any field trips when I asked why she doesn't go they said she is too little to go (they said that was a mistake & refunded me the difference 180$ after I asked but if I didn't pay attention I will never get my money back) They charged me for my daughter's tuition 2295$ (Includes lunch) but they never served her lunch. They have a lunch program that costs additional 165$ (optional) Other schools don't require you to pay a security deposit like Goddard School They first asked me to pay 500$ security deposit and when I was leaving they said the security deposit was decreased to 270$ without any notice or email to explain that to me.( they have a poor communication and treated me unprofessionally when I was leaving)

We love the daily reports! The security protocols provide an effective defense-in-depth strategy that I think adds significant peace of mind. The children are safe, secure and well taught. Discipline is effective and consistent with a focus on positive reinforcement and good decision making. Accidents/incidents are communicated rapidly and the staff are very attentive to the health and well being of our children. The facility is clean and sanitized with the attention of detail that has resulted in the best environment for our children. The food options are excellent and provide a balanced meal to keep our little ones fed and nourished. Issues or concerns that were communicated by myself to the staff were respectfully discussed and addressed in a timely manner. The events and activities that are sponsored by the academy are great team building opportunities for the parents and staff. Additionally, they provide a strong foundational marker for the children to observe the parents being a part of their educational journey. Highly recommended!

Ms. Hana took COVID safety very seriously and took all the measures to make sure that the learning environment was also a safe place as well which was also a top priority for us. It was going to be his first time in a structured school setting so I really appreciated the smaller class size and student to teacher ratio because I felt like he was able to receive a more individualized curriculum and he was met at his academic level. When my son first started, he had very basic knowledge of his letters and sounds, but now we are almost to the end of our first year and he is reading simple sentences. He comes home excited to tell me what he has learned and about all his friends at school! I am so impressed with how much he has learned and grown thanks to Ms. Hana. Although we will be moving on next year to kindergarten, we are so happy that our son was able to get a good foundation for this upcoming school year!

My daughter has grown so much during her time here into very sweet, talkative, helpful. Ms. Hana plans thoughtful activities for the kids all the time and is a very responsive director. She takes the time to get to know every child very well. I love that this school is smaller which affords the kids more personalized care as well as bring a "family like" feeling between parents, teachers, and children. My most favorite part is, I really enjoy receiving a art works, worksheets, home report and occasional pictures of my child. We have been very happy at MMPS. It is a gem of a school within affluent North Potomac/Rockville with still very reasonable rates relative to other preschool.

This place deserves 5 stars and that's coming from a picky parent and part time staff!!! Just…read morebecause I worked there means I actually see both sides of this place literally.. I am the mother of a now 5 year girl who has now been at this center for 3 years. La Petite's opening and closing hours from 6:30am to 6:30pm accommodates any work schedule (I have to be at my other job by 7 and get out until 5-530) & their staff is open to answer any questions or concerns making any parent feel they have made the right choice. I was very iffy at the beginning (my baby being my first born) because she had previously been cared for by family. The most amazing teacher is Ms. Maureen and that's what sparked me to put my daughter in. (Not just because she is a co worker am I comfortable with everybody). She loves to communicate anything going on to the parents and is amazing with the kids. My daughter now loves to go with her in the mornings and when its one of those rough days she doesn't want to leave my side, I know if she is with her "momo", she was fine after I left. Being at the center has taught Kimberly how to interact better with other children (again, since she is an only child), learning to read and write, color and draw, more creativity than ever and to be nice to her friends and share. I also feel they are very open with the kids and explain when something is wrong, why it is and how we can better it. When potential parents step into La Petite, they will notice a warm and inviting atmosphere. Each of the classrooms is arranged for a different age group, with its size and atmosphere designed to help and encourage a child's development. Each room has appropriate teacher to student ratios and the kids have a overall consistently of seeing the same teachers usually unless someone is out sick or off. Highly recommend it and couldn't have found a better place for my Kimberly!

The staff is friendly and the facilities are adequate. However They appear to be very disorganized,…read moreat least in the infant department. I would put that their district manager was great in finding a flexible rate for our unique shift work schedules. However a few things must be highlighted that were disturbing. Each child receives a box to put spare clothes, creams etc. I once picked up my child, with other kids dirty laundry in her box. When I asked the staff members whose it was, they responded to just leave it in the corner. They obviously changed the child to who the clothes belonged to. Yet they seemed to be very half hazard in their care of whose clothes, where it should go and overall positive control. Another incident occurred when I picked up my child and she smelled of cigarettes, albeit lightly. I in no way believe that someone was smoking with my child, but it was apparent that the staff member had a cigarette and when finished proceeded to hold my child, therefore causing the smell on her clothes. LASTLY AND MOST DISTURBING They use and application called "Precious Status" in which the faculty members update you child's naps, feedings, etc. We received five status updates of my child's routine one morning, yet our kid was NOT at school. The teachers select the child's name not the parents, so it is apparent that the staff member was repeatedly and deliberately choosing my child's name to update another baby. That lack of attention to detail in baby identification seems particularly disturbing .

It is so wonderful how the Academy staff balance education and fun for the children. He is learning different things and having a blast while doing it! As a bonus, he is worn out by the time he gets home! It is comforting to know while I am at work, he is in the safe, capable hands of the mature and professional staff.
