Full disclosure: I'm not a dog owner…read more I had my BF's dog for the day while he handled some family business. After we left the office I brought him down here since it's close to my house. I invited my friend and her dog but I was not aware there was a small dog and big dog area so we had to talk to each other through the fence. This park is HUGE. I've heard this floods and gets muddy and I can understand that a trip here can make for a messy dog. Thankfully, it was nice and dry when we went. There were so many dogs and my buddy had a good time running a playing. Dog owners did a good job of looking after their dogs and I only noticed one scuffle. I should also add people do a decent job of picking up after their pets and I only noticed one wayward poop pile. However, I did noticed people placed their poop bags on the fence which I thought was a little weird a gross. I was very happy to notice a walking path that I believe dogs are allowed on. Tyler (the dog) needs exercise I plan to bring him back for a nice walk. Our night in the big dog area was enough to wear him out!

Right across the way is the less busy one for those people who have dogs who are a bit anti social. There's water for the dogs and trash bags go pick up poop. My small complaint is the dog owners who go here. A lot of them let their dogs physically bite or swipe in a non playful ways and others do not pick up their dog's poop. Besides those two complaints I continue to bring my dog here because she loves running around and making friends.

Luckily, everyone I encountered at the dog park was super friendly and willing to give me some "pro-tips" on the park. The space itself was HUGE! Plenty of space for the 30-ish dogs present to run and play. The grass was well grown and maintained; there were benches for owners to sit and even a dog-water-fountain. I have a large dog, but I did notice a separate area for "small" dogs. The one negative thing I will mention is there are two mild-sized "hills" in the grassy area which creates a blind spot between you and your dog (if they run over to that specific area of the park). I can't wait to go back and I know my dog, Clifford, can't wait either!

You park at the bottom of the hill and you have to make a little walk up the hill but as long as you don't have too much difficulty you should make it! It doesn't get steep until the very end. The park is in a quieter area so it's not busy most of the time. It has areas for smaller and bigger dogs. Any good dog park should have those. The area kind get kind of muddy when it rains, but it was dry the last time. It's not a large park, but there's plenty of room. There is a small parking lot, which usually has plenty of spaces. It also has a few walking paths surrounding it. They have some dog pools for them to splash and swim in the warmer months. There's quite a few dog parks in the area. It's good compared to most. The park looks to be safe.

Our puppy has been attending puppy class and now basic since he was a few months old. We love Donna the trainer! Boss, is an American Bulldog which is a large bully breed. Donna has gone out of her way to help us work with him to make sure his socialization has been positive so that he can grow to be a friendly social dog. There are always people that instantly judge bully breeds not based upon the dog but stereotypes they have created. It's so fun to watch Boss playing with all types of dogs from tiny puppies to huge mastiffs. He loves the pond and all of the agility setups in the play area. I can't imagine not having wags for Boss!

Most people are very conscientious about watching their pups. I haven't seen many squabbles. Be warned, there is one very large long haired German shepherd named Alpha, who constantly dominates and humps other dogs. His owner does not try to stop him. He likes to defecate in the pond and she does not try to stop him or scoop it out. If this dog is there, keep a close eye on your dog. There are 4 different areas where you can take your dog. If your dog is not getting along with another dog, you can move to one of the other areas which is convenient. This is a very nice place to take your dog on these terribly hot days for a cool dip. There is even a dog toy library with toys for dogs to play with.

Take off that leash and let 'em run!…read more This is a great, and big, park for your dogs. They have three, or four, separate enclosures for the dogs to run. They're also categorized by the size of your dog or they have the big open section for any dogs. There are some obstacle type fixtures for the dogs to climb on and a few trees here and there for them to sniff around. There aren't many seating areas, but there are some and there are some covered seating areas as well for dog humans to sit and watch their furry friends running around and making new friends. It's a bit of a winding road to get there, but follow the signs and you'll find it. It's nice and quiet and your dogs are surely to have a good time. A few notes: - Occasionally they block out sections to allow the grass to grow. This is great and ensures there's always some nice green grassy areas to let your pups run. They take very good care of the grounds as well. - They have double entrances so you can reduce the chances of a breakout. - Keep your dog on a leash until you get into an actual enclosure. It doesn't matter if your perfect dog would never run. Others may. Also, don't be so sure that your perfectly trained pooch won't make a dash for a new excited friend they've never met. That overstimulation can be unpredictable when around a group of other dogs. - They have some drinking fountains for dogs as well. Bring your own bowl if you want to reduce any disease transmissions. - There are poop-bags available and garbage cans for your full bags. Your dog will poop. It's that simply. Bring your own bags if you have them. If you don't, there should be some there. - Clean up after your dog! I shouldn't have to explain this but you need to remember, dogs are running around here and so are their humans. Sure, you may miss one here or there, but for the sake of everyone else, try to clean up after your dog. If you're too good to do that, stay home. It prevents a mess as well as diseases. - If your dog doesn't play well with others, stay home or leave. We literally were coming in once and some people who were already there had a bit of a rambunctious dog. The dogs owner said, "you might want to be careful...he doesn't do well with other dogs". I looked at that as someone who is fatally lactose intolerant walking into an ice cream shop. Don't be ridiculous. This is a public dog park. If Cujo doesn't play well with others, YOU find somewhere else to go. Wiggly Field is free. Let's keep it that way. Take care of this gem and it will take care of your four legged little buddies. Would I go back? Yes. We go here as often as possible. Our little one loves it. She doesn't get to be around too many dogs so this is always a good time.

They also have water for dogs, benches to sit on, a picnic table to eat at, and a gorgeous huge ancient oak tree that my dog climbed up, impressing another dog owner. There are plenty of poop bags and garbage cans to dispose of your dogs' poop. Some owners didn't pick up their dog's poop but that is the owners' fault. I picked mine's up. My dog had so much fun running around with me, I had brought a toy. Since it was a wet cooler (but warm for the month) weekday midday we were alone for a while then joined by a sweet lady bulldog. When a small beagle came in, it chased my dog around and when another sleek fast dog joined the beagle in chasing my dog, the beejesus was scared out of my dog. I sat on the bench and my 70-lb pitbull jumped in my lap for protection from the dogs.
