These people are angels. Our mom (age 89) had a stroke in early November, 2019. She spent a week in…read morethe hospital and then transferred here for rehab. Subsequently, we found our she had fairly advanced terminal cancer. The level of care and kindness shown by the entire staff (thanks, Kelly, Nedra, Michael) really touched our hearts. It's not the fanciest place I've seen, but the kindness, love and level of care mean that your loved one will be well taken care of. Our mom ended up in hospice, and eventually passed away in January, 2020. Throughout her suffering and our grief, the staff was kind, supportive and always helpful. They took most excellent care of her, both physically and emotionally. Thanks to all of you.

Come see for yourself. I as well as the whole staff at The Cottages take pride in the care that we offer here. I am also happy to add that every year we are visited by the state who survey's everything from the way we dust and water plants, to water temps, food menus, etc. We have had stellar scores with the state and our residents are happy, safe, and secure. While there is ALWAYS room for improvement I'm very proud of our community and the care we offer. PLEASE READ! Do not move your loved one in here, we were…read morecalled several time in September 2018 after we viewed the property to move our mom in. We told the sales woman no we do not think it is a good match as she has Alzheimer dementia; they continued to call and tell us she will be fine here we have several tenant's with dementia. Against our better judgement, we moved her in and it went downhill from there. For an Alzheimer dementia patient it is too much on them with all the people in there. Our mom declined rapidly over the year. She even left the facility on her own and walked up Colby Ave to Safeway all by herself, then the receptionist told us "I saw her leave and I was just praying she would make it back"! I understand by law she cannot stop her but don't you think the human in you would at least talk to her and try to persuade her not to go! Then in August 2019, I received daily calls from the facility letting me know my mother was harassing people and they thought it would be best to find her a new place to live. Therefore, we did and gave notice and came in for a meeting they said we still have to pay the full month of September even though they asked us kindly to leave without doing it legally and we moved on 7 September so we paid the rate of 2749.00 for the whole month. I have called and emailed the corporate office Holiday Touch not one person has returned my call. Now we are going to the senior advocates to try to get out money back this is absurd and a misuse of seniors and their funds!
