WO had by far the best food of any place we visited. They moved from their home in Kingson to Washington Oaks together for the first two months. The staff - every one of them!!!, is kind and aware of the needs of the residents. Mom can walk long safe distances with their sky bridges. Physical therapy and Exercise class is on-site. As a result, she keeps strong and keeps walking despite a severe bilateral disability in her muscles. I am confident being here because assisted care is available should she need it. More importantly, my Mom was impressed enough to sell her home in New Mexico and move to Washington Oakes, which is right in our neighborhood. Everyone you meet, staff and residents alike, are friendly and really seem to like it there. Many staff have been there a long time, which tells me the management puts as much emphasis on caring for their staff as they do their residents. The building itself is a wonderfully remodeled, historic school, truly a beautiful structure. The feeling it is cold, and everything is a clean. My mom is already enjoying participating in the activities, which there are many to choose from. We love Washington.Oakes, and Maricel is the BEST!

We told the sales woman no we do not think it is a good match as she has Alzheimer dementia; they continued to call and tell us she will be fine here we have several tenant's with dementia. Against our better judgement, we moved her in and it went downhill from there. For an Alzheimer dementia patient it is too much on them with all the people in there. Our mom declined rapidly over the year. She even left the facility on her own and walked up Colby Ave to Safeway all by herself, then the receptionist told us "I saw her leave and I was just praying she would make it back"! I understand by law she cannot stop her but don't you think the human in you would at least talk to her and try to persuade her not to go! Then in August 2019, I received daily calls from the facility letting me know my mother was harassing people and they thought it would be best to find her a new place to live. Therefore, we did and gave notice and came in for a meeting they said we still have to pay the full month of September even though they asked us kindly to leave without doing it legally and we moved on 7 September so we paid the rate of 2749.00 for the whole month. I have called and emailed the corporate office Holiday Touch not one person has returned my call. Now we are going to the senior advocates to try to get out money back this is absurd and a misuse of seniors and their funds!

These people are angels. Our mom (age 89) had a stroke in early November, 2019. She spent a week in…read morethe hospital and then transferred here for rehab. Subsequently, we found our she had fairly advanced terminal cancer. The level of care and kindness shown by the entire staff (thanks, Kelly, Nedra, Michael) really touched our hearts. It's not the fanciest place I've seen, but the kindness, love and level of care mean that your loved one will be well taken care of. Our mom ended up in hospice, and eventually passed away in January, 2020. Throughout her suffering and our grief, the staff was kind, supportive and always helpful. They took most excellent care of her, both physically and emotionally. Thanks to all of you.

We moved in on 9/1/24. Good choice! We are in our 90s with realistic expectations of what the future holds.We want to share in the joy of being alive daily in a. supportive community, kind people to interact with pleasant surroundings good food capable physical help and encouragement. 1/1/2025 and nothing has changed our opinion. I personally still have heath and the life choices still available to me are enhanced by the entertainment special occasions provided and help fill my time as my wife sleeps for extended periods.I suspect that if I would be left by myself-I would just call this home. After 2 weeks of having outside 24hr care paid separately from facility, I was told they would re- evaluate to see if he was good with just their staff. It didn't happen I let the $5100.00 a week caregiver go and my husband was found on the floor less than a week later had phnemonia and passed away the 7th day after not having fulltime care. The nurse would not respond to phone calls and when she did it was with rude and had a nasty attitude. They did manage to give my husband more sedation meds after the caregiver was gone so they could keep him from wondering. I say look into memory facilities closely but I would pass on Harbour Pointe . They were planning on evaluating him on the day he died now that's convenient. My husband deserved much better care than he received. If I could only go back in time he never would have been in that facility. I know this show San Francisco but it is Mukilteo WA
