My mother-in-law said they blame and chase all the good employees out. They are filled with empty promises and once moved in, management shows no care at all. They act like seniors aren't smart enough to see what is happening. When you can even find a manager, which they haven't had a solid one in a while, they are too busy to take your questions/complaints, etc. The company itself is just about collecting your loved ones rent, they certainly waste no time in slapping on a late fee once you're a day late. The staff - caregivers, receptionist and servers are amazing, but all leave which I can't blame them. The food is not healthy, and the cook seems to think it's chef quality. I wish we did better research as the facility has been put in stop placement before and the company itself owed the Attorney General's office 7 million dollars due to its neglect to residents. Corporate is located in Salem, Oregon, I believe. We moved in on 9/1/24. Good choice! We are in our 90s with realistic expectations of what the future holds.We want to share in the joy of being alive daily in a. supportive community, kind people to interact with pleasant surroundings good food capable physical help and encouragement. 1/1/2025 and nothing has changed our opinion. I personally still have heath and the life choices still available to me are enhanced by the entertainment special occasions provided and help fill my time as my wife sleeps for extended periods.I suspect that if I would be left by myself-I would just call this home. The nurse would not respond to phone calls and when she did it was with rude and had a nasty attitude. They did manage to give my husband more sedation meds after the caregiver was gone so they could keep him from wondering. I say look into memory facilities closely but I would pass on Harbour Pointe . They were planning on evaluating him on the day he died now that's convenient. From an unsigned, inaccurate eviction letter that the state ombudsman told us was not legal - which Kenmore management settled just before the hearing - to the complete lack of compassion from the executive director when our mom was rushed to the hospital and needed emergency heart surgery, to the COVID deaths we had to learn about from the health department -- I couldn't wait for the day she no longer lived there. It came a lot sooner than expected when they decided her medical needs were too much to handle, a day after they cashed her rent check -- but the "pack up and get out" attitude was more of a surprise than it should've been. They returned just half of it with no explanation. There are far better places to care for your loved ones. Keep looking.

It does seem to lose staff easily but they do really have some very caring employees and my mom loved many of them. Kenmore Senior Living was bought and had new upper level management and I was not impressed. They seemed to care less about their residents, it was not always like that and it seems just recently maybe the last 6 months it changed. My mom was a resident for over two years and just recently passed away. When my sister and I went in to tell them she had passed and we needed to move her stuff out the two women in the admin office just looked at us with zero compassion and said really that was fast. No my sincerest condolence or we are sorry for your loss, it was really weird and left a very bad taste in both my sister and my mouth. I never felt more like a business than a place that cares for elderly. I have noticed a large vacancy on the third floor and no luck filling them. The care givers are very kind, a new nurse started so not sure about her and the front desk wonderful and they are the only reason I gave three stars. The admin unfriendly, uncaring and just showing up to work with any interest with the residents and their families. I will not be recommending this facility to anyone which is to bad because a year ago I would have and do not want to take anything away from the staff. This is a review all about the administration and this is only our review from our families personal experience. I feel better places our out there.

They are very caring people who's bedside manner is respectful, understanding, loving and kind. I'm immediately told of any medical issues so I know they are in great care. Nilda wants the best for her residents and is so thoughtful with activities and special celebrations. Birthday parties, painting parties and bringing in musicians are just a few of the wonderful things she does. She pays attention to each individual's wants and needs. She paints with my mom, buys connect-the-dot activity books for my dad. Yes, we love this place so much, I moved my dad in too! The home is extremely clean and inviting. Each of my parent's rooms have french doors out to the beautiful backyard. The grounds are impeccable. They've created a park-like environment with walking paths, a fountain and a beautiful covered/heated gazebo for residents and their families. To me, this is above and beyond what most other facilities would provide. They are constantly making improvements to the property, inside and out. I highly recommend this home. They give your family member a soft place to land when they need it most.

My name is Marilyn my husband was Michael King. He passed away at Regence 7/11/2024. He was there 2…read morewks. He was admitted there as a hospice patient. About 5 days after he was admitted, I was told by a staff member that the administration and certain staff do not like to have them as patients. This was very concerning to our family. We were paying a huge amount of money to provide him with the care and compassion he should have received. He had IPF and was on 24 hr oxygen. He had two very compassionate and kind nurses aides, a young male Indian or Pakastani and a gal around 50. He had an asian appearing female nurse in maybe her 50's or 60's who was on the afternoon shift. She was uncaring, rude at times belligerent. He had a catheter and was being awakened at 5:00 AM to empty it. I asked if it could be done a little later as he couldn't sleep. She told me "Well I guess we can just not do it at all ". Other times when I was there she administered a nose solution and brutally shoved it up his nose, he at some point didn't want her near him. She did not follow Hospice drug protocol in his medications. Did it how and when she wanted too. My husband several days before he died was bleeding profusely into his catheter bag. I asked for a Dr. to see him and was told it was not possible. At one time when I was there he was having extreme difficulty breathing, we pressed the call button, nobody responded, I went and checked it, it had a huge crimp in it caused by a nurse who had changed it awhile earlier and failed to notice it. I understand that those there for rehab receive excellent care, my husband who was dying did not, except for a few very kind, compassionate staff.
