The old office where I had been a patient for around 13 years was horrible with patient care and treating people in a kind manner. I just don't think that flies anymore in this day and age. Dr. Weigel is very knowledgeable about contact lenses, the price points, the advantages and disadvantages of many different brands. It seems he keeps up with what is current in the market. I have astigmatism and my prescription is not minor, and he was willing to work with me on what contact lenses suit my needs. He is comprehensive and kind. The optical shop in my opinion has several frames to choose from that are fashionable and current. A few years ago my daughter, who was a patient at the time, was in a softball tournament in Kansas City. She forgot to bring extra daily contacts with her so I called Dr. Goerrs office on a Saturday morning when they were closed. He knew another doctor in KC and gave them her prescription so we could go to his office and pick them up. This past weekend I was getting ready for my grandson's birthday party and something scratched my eye. I was walking around with one hand covering my eye. I called Dr. Goerrs on his emergency line. He calls me back shortly after. First he apologizes for not answering my call but he just got off a plane in St. Louis and he hasn't even gotten his luggage yet. I tell him what happened and he sent out a prescription to my pharmacy before leaving the airport. We picked it up right away and I could start using it before the party started. Not many doctors are that caring and would go to those lengths to help a patient. Marilyn W.
