I would have loved to support this small business. The recommendations are all over our neighborhood FB page because he is a neighbor.. I tried. I understand being busy, I understand having other things going on. But I just got the feeling my business wasn't important to him. I made an appointment over a week in advance. Talked to him, understood his limited availability.. he suggested an alternative that I was good with but then I never heard from him. He was supposed to get back to me ... it wasn't u til the day before when I checked in that he said he couldn't accommodate my request. He did offer for me to go to the dealer for the service. No thank you, that is why I selected a mobile detailing service. Very disappointed. I found another place that did an awesome job. Mr. Washington, the owner of this detailing business is a great guy! He gives back to the community in which he lives and works. Today I dropped off my Pilot to be cleaned and they completed the job in a timely manner. As we inspected the vehicle I noticed a couple of areas that needed attention. (*The detailer who cleaned my car was new and forgot a couple of areas.) CJ, Dennis' son, immediately took care of the items of concern. I scheduled an appointment for a full detail. I would take a photo of the results but it has been raining since the job was done, so sorry. Dropped suv off at 9a and they worked vigorously to rebeautify our 2003 Seqouia. This ended up being a 6 hour job. The two detailers were on point and took a minute to educate me on their 3 point polishing which included claybar. They turned my yellow headlights and transformed them to clear again! I needed my vehicle detailed before turning in the lease so I called Washington's Detailing. Dennis Washington promptly called me back and scheduled an appointment within the next few days. When I say the SUV was a mess, I mean a MESS! I have had the vehicle for three years and I have FOUR grandchildren six years old to 8 months old. Add to that (when I don't have the babies) I smoked in the vehicle. When Dennis arrived, he inspected the vehicle and gave me a very fair quote. He immediately cancelled the rest of his day because he knew it would take some time. They (Dennis and his daughter) worked steadily, without a break, for almost 5 hours! As a result, my SUV looks brand new! He shampooed all carpets and floor mats and because of the smoking (such a nasty habit) even the headliner. I'm more than pleased. Amazing customer service and outstanding attention to detail. Being that I was selling my truck and downsizing, I figured it was time to get a professional to clean her up. The truck I had detailed was a 2005 Black Ford Excursion all murdered out. It took them the entire day from 8AM-6:30PM, but trust me it was WELL WORTH IT! My wife is a Mizer when it comes to money and she gave me an earful for spending $275, after she seen it she did not complain anymore. The truck sold to a private buyer in under 24hours of me posting it on Craig's List and for full asking price. If I could give them a zero, I WOULD. And I never give zeros. So I emailed this company about detailing a 2-door Jeep Wrangler. Originally my appointment was supposed to be at 1000 but I got a text message asking to reschedule to 4 due to a their customer before me living in Suffolk and me living in Virginia Beach. Okay, fine. It is now 450 and no one is here. I've texted and called and no answer. Not even the decency to say that they can't make it or that they're running late smh. Unprofessional. My text timestamps show that I reached out at 3:42 PM. He responded at 6:05 PM and offered to come out THURSDAY (not Friday). Since that wasn't good for me, we decided on Friday. 2. At no point did we discuss him coming back on Saturday. On Friday, he reached out to me at 11:07 AM to let me know he wouldn't be by that morning (he previously agreed to 9:00 - 10:00 AM). When Friday didn't work, I requested (NOT the owner) for him to come on Monday. 3. On Monday, I reached out to him to see what time he'd be by, since he didn't tell me prior. After some back and forth, at 11:15 AM he tells me he won't make it. Around noon, I told him I was fed up and wanted a partial refund. Two hours later (i.e., after the time where I told him I'd be unavailable), he responded with a flurry of messages and calls. I didn't "refuse" to answer your calls. I was busy. I told you this. 4. I left this review to warn other customers about poor business practices. My money's been spent, and it's clear that things won't be made right by giving me a partial refund like requested. 5. These messages speak for themselves, and I think it says volumes how the owner's statements conflict with my proof. Apparently facts are "misleading." Buyer beware. --------------------------------------------------- I needed my car cleaned before selling it, so I made an appointment to get the Washington Detail on 8/08 (Wednesday). Two men showed up the day of and got to work. Around 3:00 PM, the guy cleaning the interior let me know that he was done and that the exterior guy had to head out to another appointment, but he could come back to take care of any spots that I noticed needed touching up. A little unusual, but okay. As a show of good faith, I paid the interior guy in full (+20% tip). I then noticed that quite a bit still needed to be done-- the bottom trim of the car was still dirty, the trunk area hadn't been cleaned, the rear passenger's door and side mirrors were still dirty, and all of the windows were really streaky. I contacted the exterior guy at 3:42 to ask if he could come back to finish the job. I told him I would need to head out at 5:30. At 6:05, he said he could come by the following day, which didn't work for me, so we agreed on Friday at 9:00 - 10:00 AM. Friday, at 11:00 AM, I get a text that he's going to try stopping by that afternoon. Apparently a guy called out. Not ideal, but things happen, and I'm trying to be patient. No word that day, so that night, I say I need to head out at noon on Monday, and I ask if he can have it done by then. He responded with, "Yes sir." Monday at 9:00 AM, I ask what time he'll be here. He asks me when I'm leaving. I say (again): noon. At 11:15 AM, he asks me where I'm heading, because maybe he can meet me. I'm not available for the rest of the day, and I'm fed up, so I tell him I can't wait any longer-- I need to sell my car-- and I tell him I want a partial refund for not receiving the service I paid for. Two hours later, my phone blows up with five messages and two calls in a 15-minute period. I get excuse after excuse: the weather's been a problem, he's had guys call out, the interior guy for my car took took too long originally, I'm not answering my phone to address this issue (I said I wasn't available). I respond via text that I get that things happen, but this is a business, and I haven't gotten what I paid for, so I want some of my money back. He says he won't respond anymore, but I need to call him, because, "You received full service there are just some areas that need to be touched up I understand that.. but it has not been a week I told you I could come the very next day and that did not work out for your schedule." To be clear, the work that they DID do is great. I take issue with the business' management. The job wasn't finished the day of, and that's frustrating in and of itself, but set that aside for a moment. I totally understand that problems come up in a business, but it's inappropriate to string a paying customer along for nearly a week, then offer multiple excuses (never taking responsibility for stringing the customer along), then ignore the customer's requests for a partial refund, then minimize the facts of the issue ("it has not been a week," "you received full service"). Take responsibility for the issues and make promises that you can keep. And when a customer asks for a refund, acknowledge that. read more

Just had my Enclave detailed and it came out beautiful. The inside was mostly ok, just needed a little cleaning. What I wanted was the outside protected since I just moved to the beach. The car is gleaming in the sun and Mr. W was able to get all the little stuff off that had accumulated over the past few years. I highly recommend them. My car looked so amazing after being detailed! The only criticism I have is that I was told it would take about 2 hours but it ended up being closer to 3. Other than that, customer service was great. Yelp says they take credit cards, but I ended up having to do it over the phone since they are cash only and that made me uncomfortable. Nonetheless good place to go I recommend it! read more

They are flexible and will come directly to your house, just make sure that wherever you park your car, they will be able to get to it and will be able to get around it pretty easily. I have an all Crystal Black Honda Accord, which due to the color, is hard to clean. However, once they were finished my car looked brand new. They really are the best at what they do! I waited about an hour and a half to get my car detailed; it was worth it. They recommend making appointments..I did not but several others did that day. They're fantastic and allow you to walk around and view your entire car before you pay. That way if something is not up to your standard they will fix it WITH NO COMPLAINTS. I wish I had a before and after picture to show you. After a cross country roadtrip with my yellow lab, my car was filthy and smelled like wet dog. These guys worked until there was not a single dog hair to be found. My car looks and smells brand new. You can call for an appointment or drive right up if you are in the area. There is also a little store front where you can wait if you like. They are fast, friendly, professional, and they do excellent work. Had an old drink spill in my car seat on MLK Day that left a very foul odor. I tried calling other detailing service providers but the best they could do was put me on standby. I saw Mr. Washington's page on yelp and called him to set up a same day appointment and he was able to squeeze me in. 3 hours later, odor was gone and my interior looked brand new. Let me tell you, Mr. Washington is a hard working professional who aims to please his customers and we need to support local businesses who provide great service such as this one. read more

My interior was cleaned better than ever! The exterior looked good too. The $50 I paid for headlight restoration was not worth it. There was minimal change to the headlights, if any. I was also not aware they do not accept debit/credit cards, so I had to go to the connected gas station twice to pull the amount cash needed for the detail. The employees did walk the car with me and address any questions or concerns I had. I would probably use them again, minus headlight service. read more

My upholstery still smells!! I will definitely NEVER go here again!! I found this place through yelp because I needed a detailer. However, the five star reviews cannot POSSIBLY be real! During the heavy rains, somehow water got into my Honda Civic and I had 2 inches of water on the floor of my car only in the drivers seat and the front passenger seat (nothing else in the car was wet - the water must've come up into the car cuz I was parked next to a water drain in a down-sloping parking spot). Anyways, I went to get my car detailed, including getting the water out of the front floor and washing all of my upholstery cuz it only cost $20 and I figured why not, I've never had it done before. When I sat in the car, the seats felt a little wet and I told the guy so he "vacuumed" it a little more (is that how you dry car upholstery??? I have no clue, but clearly it didn't work). Anyways, the next day my car smelled like mold or something. I tried airing it out but the smell was just too strong, and it was the entire car, even the rug part in the trunk - even though when I came in - ONLY the front floor smelled like that from the rain water. As the days went by, the entire car smelled so bad and it wouldn't air out because they just didn't dry it properly. I called and they told me to come back so they could fix it. Well they just used an entire bottle of lysol and I don't know what else they did, but all I know is that it's been weeks and I STILL SMELL the foul smell like mold in my car and my windows fog up. Basically, there is extra moisture in my car and no matter how much I try airing it out, the smell just won't go away, but at least it's not as strong as it was after the first time I came in. I feel bad writing this negative review cuz the people were nice and they did a great job washing and wiping down the interior (dashboard, doors, etc.) but I can't possibly recommend them due to the foul smell of mold/lysol that I have to put up with after forking out $80. Next time I will definitely pay more for a better service that actually has the proper equipment to DRY the upholstery!! read more

The unassuming storefront doesn't promise much, but Mr. Washington over-delivers quality. My car needed some serious work, and serious work was done. Looks great at an amazing price. Was really hoping this would be a good experience but it was meh. I paid about 150 for the Washington detail. Heads up, there's no lobby to sit and wait in for your car. Luckily I was planning to have lunch with my hubs. It took about 4hrs to be finished which was fine and expected. Upon picking up my car I noticed the rims had not been cleaned/wiped AT ALL. I asked for the wheels to be wiped off and they kindly obliged but then proceeded to wiped off my tires which also had not been glossed.(probly my fault wheels, rims *shrugs shoulders* The inside looked very clean so I was happy. The seats were still a little damp, as I asked for the seats and floor to be shampooed and they didn't have any seat covers nor floor covers. As I drive away away I noticed the clean smell became increasingly overwhelming!!! It was beginning of February so I had open up the windows and sunroof to air it out but the chemical smell stayed intense for about 4 days! Not a "oh my car smells clean and fresh" but more like "this cleaner is not meant to be inhaled directly....oops we spilled it all in your car" smell. Lastly a week after the detail, water spots showed up on the car seats and the rubber on the car mats were discolored as if the wrong chemical was used to clean it. I definitely feel like I wasted my money. read more

Always willing to work with you, and your always guaranteed that if you have any qualms, everything is handled on the spot. I've taken big trucks to little cars, and there is no detail that goes unnoticed while your car is under their supervision. I feel as though I'm getting more than what I've paid for when comparing other detail centers to theirs. Ive watched as the sweat rolls from their head that my vehicle is receiving some good old fashioned tender love and care. I've detailed my own car in my garage and I know that I'm a very picky person. The amount of time it takes me to complete my own vehicle they can do in less than half the time.
