Thanks to a locals discount, we were satisfied and impressed with our dinner at Washing Potato. Made a reservation the day of just in case but it wasn't needed. Although be mindful if it's during a holiday weekend then you MIGHT need a reservation. Located on the casino level, the exterior looks like a nightclub or a lounge entrance. Open kitchen concept and their lighting is pretty cool. Music wasn't loud although I wish it was to make it more lively. Chinese-Cantonese cuisine. You got your renditions of fried rice, noodles, soup noodles, appetizers like egg rolls, dumplings, wontons and of course dim sum dishes like shui mai, pineapple buns and bbq pork buns. Between the two of us, we ordered the following: -Shumai: pork and shrimp dumpling, goji berry. Each order comes with four pieces. Great, solid starter. Be sure to get some chili oil with this. -Char Siu Bao: aka bbq pork bun. Comes with three but they're pretty big. We had leftovers and it was great for breakfast. -1/2 Peking Duck: served with house-made pancakes, baby cucumber, and duck sauce. WOW!!!!! This was so good! Thinly sliced, no fatty pieces. Portions were plentiful for two people and I think it's good for even up to a party of four. This is a dish we would totally order again next time. -Beef Chow Fun: authentic and tastes like home (home as in San Gabriel Valley, IYKYK). Cooked perfectly on the wok. Beef was cooked well..not rubbery at all. Service for the night was alright. Our waiter barely came by to check on us. He's lucky we were low maintenance and didn't need much from him. Prices were typical being on The Strip. As long as they keep their locals discount, we will be returning again.

Siu mai 3/5. I think it needs more texture like actual pieces of shrimps, wood ear mushrooms and waterchest nut.

I tried this place, and I'd have to say it exceeded my expectations! The portions are bigger than normal for a fancy dim sum restaurant in the Fontainebleau casino. I'd also say this is the newest casino with the best ventilation I've ever been to. It's very similar to Wynn, but more modern and elegant. I love the high vaulted ceilings. As for the restaurant, it feels like you're in a fancy club with teppanyaki-style seating. You can see the kitchen if you sit close to it. My favorites are the seafood trio, crispy roasted pork belly, and the beef chow fun. The siu mai and har gow were decent, but they don't stand out like the other dishes. I was pretty full and even had leftovers. I would definitely recommend trying it. I also love that they constantly refill your tea--I never had to ask. That's the kind of service you get! 5 stars!!

Cool vibe with great music but a touch loud, found myself yelling across the table. Service was fast and courteous and the waiter answered all of our questions. The char siu bao were a little doughy and had very little meat inside. The Xiao Long Bao were amazing! The soup inside was savory and a generous ball of meat. The Beef Chow fun lacked a good portion of noodles but the beef and flavor of the dish was spot on with good "wok hay". The cucumber salad was a little too vinegary but was crunchy to the bite. Saw other things on the menu I will try in the future!

Washing Potato inside the Fontainebleau ended up being one of my favorite food finds during my stay in Vegas. I actually ordered takeout from here twice for dinner because everything I had the first time was so good. I didn't dine in, but the inside of the restaurant looked really cool and nicely decorated. It definitely had a fun vibe and felt like somewhere I'd want to sit down and eat next time instead of just grabbing takeout. Everything I ordered was delicious. The beef chow fun was great, and the chicken pot stickers were easily some of the best pot stickers I've had anywhere. I was told they're made fresh in house and you can absolutely tell. I also tried the char siu pineapple bun, which doesn't actually taste like pineapple, it's just baked to look like one, but it was really tasty. The xiao long bao (soup dumplings) were also excellent. The staff was awesome as well. I ordered at the bar and they were super helpful answering questions about the menu and giving recommendations on what to try. It's definitely a little pricey, but that's expected for Vegas and especially inside a resort. Overall, this is a place I would absolutely come back to, the fact that I ordered twice during one trip already says a lot

It feels like you're on stage in the center of a night club. Super cool ambiance. Food was amazing check picks for reviews and ratings.. our server was fantastic. This is not your traditional dim sum spot with carts. But it's worth the the trip.

Very cool place very upscale very cool vibe nice music and the only thing that settle is having to sit in it right next to the kitchen Definitely would come back again highly recommended

Hands down one of the best Chinese dim sum I've ever had in my life! We snagged a last minute reservation and THANK GOD we did. I was genuinely impressed with everything from start to finish. Food came out as it was prepared by the kitchen so it was piping hot and super fresh which I loved. Everything we ordered was delicious. No notes. Our waitress was very quick, thoughtful, and kind. She gave us her recommendations and not one of them missed. The restaurant is beautiful and has a very energetic vibe to it. It was clean, lively, and unique in my opinion. It felt like we were on stage. Music playlist was a 10/10. I can't wait to come back again!

An upscale dim-sum experience. If you're staying at the Fontainebleau and want something that feels upscale but hits those classic comfort notes, Washing Potato is a solid bet. The room itself is stunning, modern, moody, and definitely "Vegas". Beef Chow Fun: This was phenomenal. Usually, this dish can be hit or miss with the meat, but they used super tender pieces of marinated skirt steak, and there was plenty. The "wok hei" taste and flavor I am craving in these kind of dishes was definitely there. Scallop Shumai: It felt premium, especially with that sweet garlic chili sauce. That sauce really elevates the delicate scallop flavor without overpowering the dumpling. Overall, the prices are what you'd expect for a 5-star resort on the Strip, but for the quality of the ingredients (like that skirt steak), it feels justified and not out of line.

Very good spot to LARP would recommend to anyone. The food was phenomenal and the staff were very friendly. If you're a local you receive a discount!

When I first laid eyes on this place, I never pictured a futuristic looking space for Chinese food. I was impressed at the modern layout of the restaurant where the tables all align with each other. I was really craving some beef noodle soup. Washing Potato did not disappoint as the beef noodle soup was on point. Although it was a very pricey bowl of noodle soup, it is expected when staying at the Fontainebleau. Not only was the noodle soup good, the service was also on point as my server was fast and efficient.

Pay for ambiance. Standard HK dim sum and cafe dishes in a hip setting, great for a date night or brunch. The beef chow fun used skirt steak which was a big unique. The chicken feet and pork skin was very crispy. Expect to pay double standard HK cafe process primarily for the ambiance and being inside the Fountainbeau.

Dim sum with a nightclub vibe? This definitely intrigued me when my friend invited me to have lunch here. Be prepared for a bit of a walk from the parking garage to the restaurant. We made reservations a couple of days ahead and dined in right when they opened at noon. Friendly hostess and server. We were sat near the entrance, so we didn't get to have the view of the kitchen where I hear you can see them prepare the food. Darker trendy decor, good mood lighting. There were several dishes we saw on social media that brought us in, but turns out those items were only on the menu when they first opened, but not anymore. Shumai, har gow and turnip cake were good. Chicken feet were a good texture, but we weren't fans of the sauce as it tasted too much on the sweeter side. Xiao long bao - the outside was too thick and tough, and the flavor of the filling and soup wasn't too great. For dessert, we had the chocolate XLB - not bad but again, outside dough wrapper should've been thinner. Egg tarts we liked the inside but did not like the crust, it was more of a shortcake texture rather than the warm flaky kind we prefer. Bill was just under $100 for the two of us (no drinks, just water). Don't think we'd be back, but glad we checked this place out.

Does anyone know if they sell roast pork belly?

They have a pork belly appetizer on the menu. I don’t recall how it’s prepared, but it might be as a roasted as a Pork Bun.

Are the dim sum items available to order all day/night during operating hours?

Yes. We went for dinner and we ordered dim sum.

It's my first time here so I don't know whether it's a fluke or it's just a different chef, or the regular chef has an 'off' day. The place is really nice though with pretty tablecloths and nice chair covers. Service is good. But overall -- for a Chinese restaurant- it all boils down to the taste of the food. Maybe I'll give it another try in the future. We'll see.

They will ask for the party size and reply back with a number (ticket number) that you will talk to the host when you arrive. If the table is not ready yet, they will hand you the physical ticket number. I think it was maybe 5 minutes tops before we got seated, so while my group arrived and I parked, it was about time we got the table. There were maybe 100 people waiting outside, so do not be put off by it, as the restaurant is pretty huge, with a front room and back room. We got various dim sum, of course including har gow and siu mai. The dim sum quality here is pretty good, and I loved that they still do the push cart dim sum as most places abstracted that out in favor of standard paper menu ordering. It feels more traditional and you get to see the dim sum before committing to it. We got a bunch of dishes to share, and even ventured out of the ordinary including intestines and bell pepper shrimp paste, and even those are solid. It takes a while to flag down a server and requires multiple follow-ups to get what we need. We flagged down 5 separate times before finally getting iced water, which is unacceptable since while Chinese restaurants like these have poor service in inattentiveness, at least you get service quickly if you flag down someone. The only way we were able to get service is for me to talk to them in Cantonese, so when it is busy and you try to ask for something in English, forget it.

Finding the Real Deal: Dim Sumlicious is the Authentic Yum Cha Las Vegas Has Been Missing…read moreLas Vegas has no shortage of Chinese restaurants, but anyone who's grown up going to yum cha knows the difference between dim sum done right and dim sum done for tourists. I've been on a quiet, slightly obsessive hunt across this city for the genuine article -- the kind of Sunday morning experience that transports you straight to a bustling Hong Kong tea house. And friends, I found it. It's called Dim Sumlicious, and the name does not lie. The moment the first bamboo basket hit our table, I knew this was different. Dim Sumlicious has a chef with over 30 years of experience honing his craft in Hong Kong, and it shows in every single bite. This isn't the frozen-and-steamed shortcut situation you'll find at so many spots around town. These are handmade, skillfully executed classics that carry the weight of real tradition behind them. The har gow wrappers had that perfect translucent delicacy -- thin enough to see through, sturdy enough to hold. The siu mai were plump and properly seasoned. The char siu bao, both baked and steamed, hit every note I was hoping for. Cart after cart brought something worth ordering, and nothing disappointed. But beyond the food, what struck me about Dim Sumlicious was the atmosphere of care. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable -- a rarity in a city where restaurants can feel like they're processing customers on a conveyor belt. If you're a dim sum devotee who's been settling for "pretty good," your search is over. Dim Sumlicious is the real deal -- no asterisks, no caveats. Make a reservation, bring the whole family, and go hungry. Las Vegas finally has its yum cha moment. Don't sleep on it.
