Everyone needs a good laundromat, however, what about an outstanding one?…read moreY'know the kind I'm talking about, right? I'm in Brockton, Ma just outside of Boston and needed to do a load or two, my sisters machine being unavailable. Went to my trusty Yelp app and up popped Wash n Go. Plugged it in to GPS and wallah! Took me straight to DM Laundry....the DM stands for Dream Machine. Yah. I know I said Wash n Go, but there's been a change in ownership. Anyways I was just expecting the usual...y'know, imdifferent attendant if any at all, one or two malfunctioning machines, etc....But It Wasn't!!! Let's start with the amenities and there are many. Mon and Tues 15% of DML money, Wed 1/2 off wash n fold, Free Dryer Thurs, and my personal favorite: Coffee and donuts Sat and Sunday lThere's free Wifi and in rhe back, 2 pool tables. For the kids there's a bank of arcade games and a basketball machine also. Now thats how I like to do laundry!!! Speaking of which, the machines are brand new and you have the option of using coins or Visa/MC...talk about convenience at your fingertips. Signage is clear and takes a common sense approach. To me, however, the real asset is Ms (Awesome) Amalia. She is like the energizer bunny with a smile. A shining example that all laundry attendants should follow. She should teach a class. I also met David (He's a Vet... thank you for your service) ...very cordial, useful, and busy. Additionally, this is at least a 50% veteran owned establishment. In any case, I had a superior laundry experience and hope you will support this business because it makes doing laundry cool again.

I'm…read morenot from this area so I don't know if it's considered a normal/fair price. $3.50 for the small washer & $5.25 for the large. Dryers cost $0.25 per 8 minutes (not enough time to completely dry a load). You have to pay $1 to purchase a card to use the machines and then you can add credit to the card using cash. There is an attendant available who is nice and willing to help even if you're confused about what to do when you first walk in. I gave 3 stars because although the area was okay, it ruined my mood to have to pay that much just to wash & dry one load of clothes.

Both times I have come here, the attendant (female the first time and male the second time) were both very helpful and friendly to myself and to others. Although this might not be a "high-end" laundromat (i don't know if those even exist) it fulfilled the job I needed it to do; CLEAN MY CLOTHES! I have no complaints, except that currently the LARGE dryers have someone's dried clothes sitting in them and no one is able to use them. They should be removed by the staff so other customers can use them (or these people need to come get their clothes). Overall I've had no issue. **EDIT: Once my clothes finished washing, I spoke with the male attendant and he kindly removed the dried clothes that were sitting in the large dryer for the last 45 minutes so I was able to use it to dry my clothes.

The dress fit me perfectly when I got it back. I have also had them do a couple of dry cleaning jobs for me and they did an excellent job on that as well. My items have always been ready for pick-up by the time promised. If you're driving here there is a small parking lot behind this place and there is also street parking available directly in front of their storefront. The people working here are always friendly and they are a pleasure to deal with. I will continue to come here for all of my tailoring and dry cleaning needs.

When I came to pick it up 2 days later, the jacket was in the plastic bag and she charged me an expensive quote. When I further examined the jacket inside the bag, I noticed there was still a lot of cat fur and lint on the jacket. Looks like it was barely touched and cleaned. She told me the hair couldn't be removed and used a lint roller. Ok, so what's the point of bringing in for dry cleaning if you can't remove the hair? Especially when I first dropped it off, I was told the hair could be removed. Don't go here, waste of $, and you can easily clean a better job at home by yourself. Looks like they don't even do a good job "dry cleaning" cause jacket looks exactly the same when I first bought it in.

I have been doing laundry at Laundrymates for the past few years due to its proximity to my home,…read morebut after tonight, I will no longer be supporting this business and want to share about the harassment I received tonight that resulted in my calling Boston Police Department. The laundromat is owned by a family- I primarily see the son, but at times, his father is also present, which has always left me with an icky feeling. His father STARES at patrons so intently, it makes you feel very uncomfortable. He polices you as you do you laundry and keeps the bathroom locked. You have to ask for permission to access the bathroom to wash your hands in between loads. Tonight, I entered just before 7 pm and there was another young woman attempting to do laundry. I say attempting because the washer machines she was using read "Error. No Sink Fill". She told the older man about this four times and he did nothing to resolve the issue. After her telling him multiple times, he called his son who came downstairs and moved her loads to other machines that I was about to fill. Due to the delay in getting a washer, my clothes were still drying at 8:50 pm since I had to wait for her to finish using the smaller washer machines. Shortly thereafter, the older man went to the breaker panel and turned all of them off stopping my clothes from drying. He then proceeded to turn off all the lights and told me to get out. I informed him that I could not pack my clothes in the dark and needed light to pack my still damp clothing. He STILL REFUSED and I proceeded to call 911 because I was standing in the dark with a very odd old man. The officers (one male and one female officer) arrived and the laundromat was still dark. I explained the situation to the police and he was still belligerent. After packing my clothing, the police and I attempted to leave the laundromat and he stood in front of the door. They had to yell at him to move out of our way so we could exit. This entire situation was completely avoidable and unfortunate as I'm choosing to share this disgusting story. They need to repair their machines, and better yet, STAY OUT OF NEIGHBORHOODS where you clearly don't trust your clientele. At the height of the pandemic when many were withdrawing their support of Asian-owned businesses in Boston due to a false and perceived connection with the COVID-19 infection, my household and I still continued to do laundry there while others sought out other laundromats. The treatment I experienced tonight makes me deeply frustrated and sad. I will be withdrawing my support from this business and letting other know. I am owed a refund, but most importantly, an apology.
