When we arrived to pick up our dog we were met at the door by the groomer and told our dog had a…read morenick on her lip from being groomed. We were asked to wait outside after awhile we went in and saw the groomer and a helper trying to stop the bleeding from a extremely deep gash on our dog's lip. She was bleeding badly we asked if the groomer knew of a vet in the area as it was late on a Saturday and our vet was not open. The groomer told us to go to Petsmart so we did the vet said it was a deep cut and needed stitches. We also had a large amount of blood on the inside of our car from transporting her to the vet. Thankfully the vet was able to get the bleeding to stop and although extremely shook up she should be fine. Now we have a $439 vet bill and Petopla is not wanting to pay for the damage they caused. Please be aware of this before you go here. We wish we had known.

We see Dr. Cindy Hand, who is not a native of Tennessee but she clearly loves the area and takes her job very seriously. My dog is aging so it's important to keep him healthy and in my life as long as possible and these people feel the same way. This kind of care isn't cheap. I worked at this facility for about 2 months and let me just say this, the staff has no idea how to…read morehandle and de-escalate situations between pups. Instead they put one pup in a kennel or room by itself unattended all day because they don't want to deal with the issue. There is rust and sharp metal everywhere in and on the building, the fences and falling apart and low enough for dogs to jump over. None of the staff had any professional training whatsoever. While I was there I noticed the turf/grass the yards have are torn up and have huge holes where the dogs will eat gravel and no one does anything to fix the holes. The buildings are run down and leaking with holes in the walls and paint peeling enough that I've seen dogs eat the paint. I do not recommend this facility to anyone who cares about the wellfare of their pets and doesn't want to pay a massive vet bill.
