We took our dog in for a nail buff and waited outside for him. When I picked him up and was putting him into the car, I noticed what I thought was a small spot of blood on his paw. It was raining very hard that morning, and I honestly thought maybe he had jerked during the nail buff and the buffer had accidentally caught his paw. By the next day, the area was larger because he had been licking it. I contacted the business and sent them a picture. I was told that they didn't think it could have happened there because the injury was on the top of his paw. My response was simply that I knew the spot was not there when I dropped him off, but it was there when I picked him up. They asked me to keep them posted. Over the next several days, the area continued to get worse. We were considering taking him to the vet, but first tried treating the area at home and putting him in a cone to keep him from licking it. I sent the business another picture showing how much worse it had become. The only response I received was, "I will tell my owner." I have not heard anything else from them. I understand that accidents can happen when working with animals. My biggest disappointment is not necessarily that our dog may have been accidentally injured--it is the lack of concern and follow-up afterward. I would have appreciated someone simply acknowledging what happened, checking on him, or showing some concern for how he was doing. After being a returning customer and having positive experiences in the past, I expected this situation to be handled with much more care and professionalism. Unfortunately, the lack of response after seeing how badly his paw had become has changed how I feel about bringing our dog back.

When we arrived we were ignored for a while since all of the employees were grooming dogs with headphones on. At some point a man came out and helped us out but it was hard to hear each other over the very loud noise inside. He clearly saw our cat and seemed very confused while he was looking for our appointment but still had us sign the waiver and took our kitty to the back. He told us it would be 2 hours for the grooming which we didn't mind. About 10 minutes later we get a call from a woman at Premier Paws saying that they only groom cats on the first Saturday of the month and we'd have to come back to get our kitten. She then asks if we scheduled our appointment online and we told her no, we actually spoke to an employee who scheduled us for that Monday at 11am. Very confused on what happened with the scheduling and why the gentleman that checked us in didn't say anything about them not grooming cats that day. He seemed like he didn't know what he was doing at all and appeared like he just woke up from a nap so that should have been the first red flag. All they could say is that we "missed" the cat grooming day since it had only been a couple days prior. Well shoot, might have been nice to know when we called to schedule an appointment for our kitten. My husband even confirmed he told them first thing we had a cat, not a dog. Will not be returning here. After reading all of the other low star reviews I'm happy we didn't go through with their services. The owner/manager appears to give passive aggressive responses to anyone giving a low rating also. So we'll see what her excuse is for our poor experience.
