We moved to the area recently and had our dog Bunny groomed at Hounds Tooth today for the first time. I was impressed with their curbside service, their friendly attitudes, and their care and attention to Bunny. They were affordable and really quick on their turn around. When I received the text that she was ready and got there, they brought her out calling her "Bun Buns", which is what my little boys call her. We will be using them again for sure! Thank you!! read more

Hounds Tooth Grooming, Boarding & Doggy Day Care - Halloween fun time. Always great activities planned! - Pet Sitting Near Me - Lebanon, Tennessee

Took my 10 pound shih tzu here in December and was contacted by the owner who stated my dog was trying to get free from his leash and hit his head on the bath faucet. My dog had to get 3 stitches in his head from the cut. In May, a former employee contacted me and showed me proof the owner stated she hit him with a hose nozzle. Police got a video of the incident and it showed my dog nip at her then cower in the corner, then it shows the owner whack him in the head with a nozzle. My poor dog is now scared to death to be groomed and he's been groomed for 8 years with no issues. If you love your animals, you will not take your dog to this sorry establishment. read more

My first time getting my dog groomed here was a fine experience, however my second time getting my dog groomed at this salon was different. I dropped my dog off at 8am for his appointment and didn't hear anything until 3pm later that day. I received a phone call that he was matted and that they had to shave him. I was hesitant to let them because I don't believe my dog was matted, I comb him often and have done well maintaining his fur for 2 years with regular grooming at pet salons and my own combing and bathing him in between. I said yes to them shaving him but expressed my concerns. Later at 5pm I decided to drive to the groomers to see if my dog was ready. He has been gone since 8am at this point, 9 hours which is longer than many peoples' work day. I was told he wasn't ready to which I expressed my concerns again at why it was taking so long and what was happening. The fact that they do not allow anyone inside of their facilities is concerning, what is happening behind closed doors. Is my dog in a safe and clean environment while he is waiting for hours? I am not able to pick my dog up until 6pm. When I get him back, the gentleman gives me a brochure on how to comb a dog and attempts to demonstrate on my dog all while my dog clearly wants away from this man. I tell him it's fine, pay, and then I noticed he has some patches of skin missing from his nose. The man says he will go and ask the groomer. Conveniently his nose was like that when the grooming began. The man tried to say that my dog must lick his nose a lot or something which doesn't even make sense. If a dog licks their nose, it loses color, not skin. It was clear this man did not care whatsoever about my dog's wellbeing and mainly just cares about the bottom line. I would like to note that not a single cuss word was uttered during my interactions with the staff because that seems to be how this owner dismisses complaints. read more

We took our happy healthy dog there and when we went to pick him up, he was the saddest most pathetic looking do we had ever seen. We confronted the owner on the spot who said our dog was just tired. Took him home only to spend the night worried because he wouldn't eat or drink. He was shaking so bad and cowering in the corner. Had an emergency vet come the next morning. The vet said it was obvious he was in a lot of pain. Had to give him a ketamine shot and a weeks worth of pain pills and muscle relaxers. I don't know if what happened to our dog was intentional or unintentional and not only did the owners neglected to notice he was in pain, they failed to mention anything to us. Putting your dog in pain pills because he went to the groomer is not normal. I love my pup way to much to ever bring him back here! read more

I live in Nashville, but needed to make a last minute daycare arrangement for my special sweet fur baby Stella, a 70 lb 11 year old Labradoodle, while I was in Lebanon on business for the day, I didn't want to leave her at home. The staff at Houndstooth was very welcoming and they took very good care of my girl! I highly recommend!! read more

Karen and her staff are wonderful - they clearly LOVE their job and it shows! Just take a look at their doggy day care photos - so many dogs playing together and having fun! The dogs just can't get enough and it's a great way to deal with a high energy dog that you really don't want to leave home alone all day! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Houndstooth!! I am new to Nashville (but I work in Lebanon) and have a fat little pug who is sweet but HATES getting his nails clipped and ears cleaned! I was so worried bringing him to them but they assured me he would be fine and even called me to tell me he was doing great! I have since taken him there for boarding and day care and he is always excited to be there and is happy and excited when I come get him. The people that work there are AMAZING and so sweet. For example: I hadn't been in for a while and the owner not only remembered my dog, but also me. She always assures me hes having fun at daycare and tells me how much the staff loves my little Winston. :) I love Houndstooth, the people that work there and most importantly, the way they treat my dog. Even though I live 45 minutes away, I will never take him anywhere else for as long as I live in Nashville. Thank you so much!!!! Winston loves you guys! :) read more

We had a funeral to attend in Lebanon and needed a place for our furry kids to stay during the days. Very pleased to have found Houndstooth Grooming Boarding and Doggie Day Care. Alexis went out of her way to make their stay with them awesome. The facility was neat as a pin and the play area was huge. Happy to know that we have found a place where we can comfortably leave our kids for the day and know that they are receiving fabulous care whenever we are back in the area. read more
