We took our business elsewhere. We were looking at carnivals that were $44000 with almost no discounts (bout 42500 after discounts). They offered us 4000 for our trade in, we just spent $15000 on only 6 months prior. They wanted 6.6% interest, even though the kia sales event on their own website, and on all kia dealer sites, offers 3.99%. The salesmen was nice enough, but we new this deal was bad. On top of it all, the dealership itself gave us bad vibes. The selection of the vehicles was a lot less than others. About 1/3rd as much. The lot was dirty, a lot of cobwebs, debris on the vehicle that had caked up dust around them, etc. I'm used to new car dealers cleaning there vehicles basically every morning. To be fair it had been dusty/windy that day, but the caked dust and cobwebs suggested it had been a minute. During negotiating we said from the beginning we were just shopping and would like their best offer. They started at about $660 per month for 72 months. Offered 650, 620, i think 560 was the final offer. The manager came out to try and strong arm us "this is the best we can do" and when we still said no, they weren't rude, but were very cold about it. Boy are we sure glad we shopped around. We ended up closing at Jerry Seiner kia, for an identical vehicle, same price. Got the 3.99%, Got $9000 for the trade in Got the payment down to $450 per month. x72 months. SIGNIFICANT! To be fair, we had to negotiate at jerry as well. But while there texted the Wasatch salesmen asking if he could price match. The best they could do was $497. Still a difference of $47 mo, 3384 total. I hate that dealing with the "greasy car salesmen" is so true, and it's such a game. You really have to shop around, and negotiate. Honestly best advice, walk away, never say yes on the spot! You can always come back, they will welcome you with open arms. If you say yes on the spot, it's likely you got taken for a ride. I don't know how these people sleep at night having such a wide cushion to play with, but always trying to get every penny they can, for the exact same product... read more

I received a personalized card in the mail from this dealership -- a dealership I've never contacted or heard of -- asking me to bring in my Prius and offering a deal if I spoke with Brandon, the sales manager. What they didn't know is that I'm permanently disabled. I haven't been able to drive in over a year (and will never be able to again), and I had to sell my car last April. Getting this card was painful and upsetting. I called in good faith, trying to ask politely that I be removed from their system so I wouldn't receive more of these mailings. Instead of showing even a shred of sympathy, the man who sent the card kept asking me repetitive questions, like whether the number I was calling from was linked to my account -- even after I clearly explained multiple times that I don't have an account and can't drive. Then he snapped at me: "I heard you the first three times." That's how this man talks to a disabled person just asking to be left alone. There was no "I'm sorry to hear that." No "Let me make sure we take care of this for you." Just cold, robotic questions and a dismissive attitude -- and then a sharp, rude tone when I reiterated my request. I don't say this lightly: this man should not be working with customers, period. Especially not those who are grieving the loss of independence due to disability. I will never recommend this dealership as long as he remains employed there. read more

They took advantage of my disabled aunt. Sold her a car that 3 days later started having problems, they refused to fix it. Told her it was fine. Well it wasn't and is now not running, their response you shouldn't have drove it. Tell me why have a car if you can't drive it????? After this interaction I WILL NEVER do business with them ever!!! read more

From sales to service, it feels like a stupid game. Dealership add-ons, which most states say you don't have to pay for, to service departments "suggestions" for added service. It's like being spammed every time I drive onto the property. I now send my complaints concerning dealerships directly to KIA corporate (KIA.com) as Dealerships don't care about these local ratings. I'll be taking my car to a trusted local garage for future service. Sadly, this will be my last KIA product, and I actually like their cars but if warranties can be ignored or the huge number of 1 and 2 star reviews don't matter, then why buy the product? read more

I co-signed on a car through Wasatch Kia. The car broke down within a week. We were then told we could not pick up the car from the auto shop because the manager at Watch Kia refused to let us take it. We were lied to about the car. The manager, Brandon, had the nerve to complain about my daughter, to the auto repair shop. The salesman pressured us into a car we were not really interested. You can seldom speak to anyone there. This has been a horrible experience. STEAR CLEAR! read more

Full transparency, this is a modified review as I left a review a while back giving five stars. Since that review, however, I have found that things are not always as they seem. We have purchased three vehicles from Wasatch front Kia. Our experience with purchasing has been excellent. I would still give five stars for purchase experience alone. However, if you get a lemon, you are on your own, thus this re-review. I have taken my car a 2025 Kia K4 purchased this year brand new back to the shop five times at this point. In fairness, they do tell me that I can keep bringing it back, but after five trips, l am hanging it up and I will just tolerate the issues I guess. My key fob does not always open my doors, and the proximity sensor rarely works. Apparently, Kia will not fix an electronic problem that does not have a specific code from diagnostics. I personally was with the manager when he had all the same issues I did with opening the trunk, and even went and tested another one on the lot that worked perfectly. I'm told after I left the trunk started working better and so there's nothing they can do, but I can bring it back. That was the last time I went, and I can't keep dropping my car off only for them to tell me the problem is not consistently reproducible. On top of that every time I drive over 40 miles my tires give off a warning saying they're flat and my air conditioner doesn't like to stay on high very long and tends to waiver up and down. Heat seems to work fine, though. Again, without a diagnostic code, you're just left waiting for something to break further as it can't be fixed. Congratulations wasatch front Kia you have won. Even with the very expensive upgraded warranty I have lost this battle. I think you'll love this place. If all you need to do is buy the car. Just know, if something goes wrong, you're likely going to be put through the wringer trying to get it fixed. read more

Wasatch Front Kia - Tire, warning light - Car Dealers Near Me - Ogden, Utah

I took my car to them to get a tire repaired because I had a slow leak, pressure went from 45 to 10 in 4 days. They took an hour and a half and found a nail in a different tire and fixed that one but couldn't find anything wrong with the one that was leaking after that long. I took it across the street to another dealer and they found the nail in that tire and fixed it in a half hour. No charge either place but it was under warranty at the Kia dealership. While the other dealer was working on the tire they noticed a leak coming from something that they said is a warranty repair item. I don't know if I trust them with a real repair since they couldn't even fix my tire. read more

Had to have my car towed back after regular service. It was jumpy on the way out and wouldn't accelerate at high speeds. I was told it was the new spark plugs and that the EBP sensor light was on when it came in on the truck. It wasn't on when I drove it onto the tow truck. Now we have paid for that. My husband drove my car home, and the same issue has started with the acceleration all over again and we will need it towed again. They have been polite, but so disappointed and frustrated having my perfectly fine car no longer perfectly fine. read more

I went to Wasatch Kia for an engine repair since I had a Kia soul the car had 152999 miles there was an engine recall on my Kia however since I was over the 150000 which was the cutoff for repairing the engine they wouldn't give me the recall even in calling the corporate office the service manager Kyle said he could fight for me to see what he could do but that never happened he said there was inconsistently in oil changes he told me when you bring the car for repairs to Kia it shows your a dedicated customer to Kia and when you take it somewhere else it shows your not I talked to their corporate office only to find out that that was not true Kyle the service manager told me he would pay me $1000. for the car if I wanted to sell it to him but between him and I this was hush hush he didn't want anyone to know he was making this deal since he had his own shop and repaired kias on the side I told him I needed to think about it and get back with him but then he said I have to look at the car and see what else work needed to be done I brought my Kia in operable condition to them when I finally picked it up the car didn't even start I asked Edwin what happened to the car he said oh it just needs a jump however when he tried jumping he said it won't hold a charge when the towing company got there he said there was nothing wrong with the battery there was something else wrong they kept avoiding my calls they are the worst place with liars working there they took advantage of me when I kept checking on my car they ignored my calls I made numerous calls to them about my vehicle and they kept telling me that Kyle was unavailable and Edwin was too busy yet they wanted me to pay them for a diagnostic test I called and asked to speak to the GM they said he couldn't take any calls and didn't return any calls back they are a dishonest company who refuses to help anyone and they are liars it's pretty sad when they have a service manager who offers to buy your car and tells you to keep it hush hush and nit say anything to no one there I would never recommend these guys to anyone and if you go there you better have a pen and paper so you can take real good notes because they are horrible they need to be shut down for their lies .,,,Elaine read more

"I'm so disappointed with their business practice. Watch for hidden fees. They also add LoJack to their vehicles and pass the $1000 cost to their customers. I feel so taken advantage of, I don't want you to feel the same way. I was in a bad accident (no fault of my own) and feeling the affects of that, plus my vehicle was totaled. The vehicle I purchased cost around $35,000 I was able to put down $23,000 from my payout of the totaled vehicle and my hard earned savings. The remaining balance is over $21,000 with fees and extras they added on. On a positive note, I found the exact vehicle I wanted on their lot, a 2023 Ford Edge (used). Please be careful, read the fine print, go over your contract line by line and sign in blue so your signature can't be transferred easily. Jump Drives are the new practice to give you all your documents, ask for hard copies. And most of all, wait a while after a traumatic experience to make sure you don't get taken advantage of." read more

My review only has to do with the service department. Traveling through, broke down in my 16 Soul. Tyler in the service department explained that they were making appointments almost a month out, but that I should go to a different business and get certain things checked. I did as suggested and went back to Tyler and asked him to clear the codes. He checked the codes and told me what the issue was. Explained that he did not have the needed part in stock but could get it from another dealer and that he would try to fit me in that afternoon. The part came in and he was able to get the part installed before the end of the day. Although he was making appointments for almost a month out he was able to get my car fixed and back on the road the same day. I can say nothing about the sales department but the way Tyler in service treated my was fantastic. read more

I would give it -1000000000 if I could. We bought a car from them and after 2 days the car stopped working and engine light was on. So basically I took the car back and asked to fix it or return it but they refused to help me out and they said "your car your problem" but the car was under warranty. The sell man( kory) is the most awful person I have ever met he stopped responding to my calls and my text so I went to the manager( Brandon) the most disrespectful and rude manager I've ever met too. After a few arguments with him he took the car and kept it for 4 months in the parking lot and I don't understand why. So please please please don't try to buy a car from them cuz they're awful and rude read more

I would like it if it were possible to give the service department a zero-star rating. We have bought four cars from this dealership, all from Marlos. Marlos is a 10-star-rated salesperson. We trust him, and his customer service is off the charts! Now, back to the service department- rude, disrespectful, condescending, etc. We trusted them, and they failed MISERABLY!!! Through all our recalls and service maintenance, they FAILED to do an alignment on our 2024 brand new EV9. Their reasoning is that we didn't specifically ask for it (it is in their computer system and service maintenance plan to do so), and THEY knew what needed to be done! Our tires went bald at 21,000 miles. Their response: tires aren't covered. Had to call KIA customer care, who instructed them to file a warranty claim on the tires (and yes, I have email proof), and they didn't, but would happily sell me new tires for buy three get one free!!!! I called to speak to the GM, but there is still no response. It is regrettable that a place with incredibly excellent salespeople like Marlos has such a crappy service department. We have had to use Kia's customer care for basically everything. read more

I will never buy a car from this person named Jose, this is the kind of customer service, they text their customers, I am so happy I have decided to take my business to the dealership that treats their clients with respect. I was going to purchase a new Kia car yesterday at their dealership, but I told him I wanted him to bring me the best offer they could do upfront, I wasn't even going to take a loan out. He comes back at $2 off the vehicle. I even show him other deals from other places they have even upgraded models on the vehicle I wanted and they were still cheaper than the vehicle he was trying to sell me. I am one of those consumers that actually do their homework researchers on my vehicles, to make sure I get the best price, and all I can say, this text message gave me all the proof, that I made the right decision. If you want to earn people respect you should always but customer service first. read more

Wasatch Front Kia - The sales rep told me I wasted his time named Jose! Great customer service! - Car Dealers Near Me - Ogden, Utah

We stumbled upon this dealership while we were shopping for a used car for our daughter. From the moment we stepped on the lot, we could tell it was different then the other dealerships we went to. Arby was very knowledgeable about everything and answered all of the questions we had. There was no rush and he was not at all pushy. Javier was great to work with as we did the paperwork to finance the car. When the car we purchased had an issue right away, they had us bring it back in and went through it to figure out what was going on and replaced some parts without charging us. They also lent our daughter a car to use while hers was in the shop. Brandon, one of the sales managers, and the other front desk gal were up front and honest about everything that was happening and worked hard to make it right so our daughter had a reliable car to drive. They even knew her name when she came in to pick up her car, which made her feel special. I definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking to work with an honest and friendly company. read more

Call me naive, but I went to this place desperate to get a safe vehicle for me and my baby. My old vehicle had break issues. I told the salesman I was a single mom who worked overtime as a social worker. He promised he got me the best price (lied about that). He told me that the tires had air but the and the sensor light would turn off after I drove it long enough (another lie). Took it to a tire shop and they told me it had faulty sensors. I called Wasatch Front Kia and they said they would call me back to fix it. They never called back. They lie and take advantage of people in desperate situations. I would stay away from using the service department at this store. I dropped my care off over three weeks ago, with the promise that it would be done before a scheduled trip that I needed the car for. A series of excuses from texts not going through to parts not being ordered have led to the car still sitting with them. The add to the pain, the department continued to ask for time to dx a problem that was clear the moment the car was dropped off. Now over $2000 later the car is still with the dealership and another batch of excused have been poured out. read more

The salesman assigned to us at Wasatch Front Kia, Cole Murray, was everything you expect from a sleazy car lot guy. He was pushy, didn't listen to what we were saying, and was condescending to my spouse, all while acting like he was our only chance for a stellar deal. And even when it came to pricing, he was very non-committal about anything. He wouldn't give me a solid number, despite my asking repeatedly, and he kept at it, even after repeatedly telling me that his sales manager was "ready to deal and move these cars off the lot." (roll eyes) He even tried the old car-lot ploy: "What do I need to do to earn your business and take this car home today?" (facepalm) Well gee, Cole, I dunnno. Maybe tell me what your best offer is the first three times I ask? Maybe stop being a clueless jerk who clearly only cares about his commission? Maybe listen to people and at least pretend that you care? We took our business elsewhere, but it says something pretty bad about Wasatch Front Kia and how they train their people. We won't be back. read more

if I could give 0 stars I would. Some lady named Zaira reached out to us because we inquired about a vehicle and we specifically told her our price range. We asked her we will not go anything higher than this specific price. She proceeded to agreeing and had us come in and lied to us. Wasted our time entirely. Showed us one convincing price and then said they couldn't honor that price. One thing I hate is to have my time wasted. We were transparent with them and they still didn't take that into consideration. It was a joke to even come in. if you're looking for a dealership please go to Young Mazda or any of the Young locations. I purchased a used car from Wasatch a year and a half ago and bought the extended warranty for $2900. My car broke down in December and I dropped it off as it had to have warranty work done at the selling dealer. It took them 24 days to fix the car and did not communicate unless i called them. The only reason why it got fixed after 24 days is that i called the general manager (who incidentally said would call me but didn't) suddenly it was fixed. Zero customer service after the sale. They also said they couldn't run the diagnostics since they didn't have the tool so now i have to take it to Jeep anyway. I won't buy from them again. read more

I took my son there to look at a car. We had already gotten approved for a loan, so we wouldn't need to have it financed through the dealership. Arby if I could give you a negative star I totally would!!! read more

The dealership is very very dishonest. 1st, they advertise cars at a very low price and then add $1700 on to the price for nonsense fees (on top of the delivery fees). When asked what these fees are for we were told, "because we have to make a profit somehow". Advertise the real price!! Don't advertise an artificially low price and then add on to the price under a different, ridiculous name. This is extremely dishonest. 2nd, I approached them to buy another used car that was advertised. It was advertised at a fair price, and then the add said "qualifies for $4000 EV rebate". When I asked them about it, they said the rebate was already subtracted from the price. But the ad said that it was eligible for $4000 off the price. I double checked the ad and nowhere did it say the $4000 was already included in the price. I checked with multiple other dealerships and they either clearly said the advertised price already included the rebate, or they said the $4000 would be subtracted from the price. That's how honest dealerships do business. Wasatch Front Kia is as crooked as they get!! I would never buy another car from them. And it doesn't matter how good their price is, I simply don't care. I don't want to do business with crooks. read more

This dealership must be really bad, it has so many bad reviews, is insane!! With that many bad reviews will continue to look elsewhere!!

A few weeks ago I purchased a brand new 2020 Kia Optima. My biggest complaint is that the car had been in an accident and the front bumper, left quarter panel and wheel all had to be replaced but I was not made aware of that. To me that seems like significant damage. I was not informed that the car had been in any type of accident or that any repairs have been done on it. I needed a car quickly and purchased the day I test drove it. It sat in my garage for a week until the lease was up on my other car and I drove the new Kia for the first time. I took it to a friend to show him and the first thing he asked was when it had been wrecked. I had really only seen the car in shadows but it was now obvious that the front bumper was a different color than the rest of the car. It's a much darker shade. He owns a body shop and also pointed out where the front left Fender had been replaced. I called the dealership and they admitted that the car had been in an accident and that the sales person had inadvertently not told me about it and that it was an oversite. I was also told before I purchased the car that it had a remote start. It does not. I have since talked to the dealership a few times and the only thing they are willing to do is it to let me trade it in at a $4,000 loss after putting 100 miles on the car. So I would take a $4,000 hit because of their dishonesty. Not only does the difference in color between the bumper and the car bother me, but I worry that other things were damaged in the car and they are unwilling to give me any more information on it. Today I contacted a lawyer and the DMV to see if there is any recourse I have. Please do not trust this dealership. They are dishonest and I think they knew what they were doing. And now they are unwilling to do anything to remedy the situation, including offering to install the remote start that they said was already in the car. I'm so unhappy with this dealership. read more

Terrible!!! My daughter just bought a car thru Wasatch Kia, while signing the sales and loan papers the finance person added Gap insurance, maintenance plan, environmental plan, appearance package & theft deter rant system warranty. This added an additional $1000 plus to the cost of the vehicle. The finance person did allow her to cancel the GAP and the maintenance plan but said that she MUST keep the environmental plan @ $399 & the vehicle protection plan @ $249.00. I asked several times about these additional fees and was told that she HAD to buy those items. Once we got home and looked over those two packages fine details they clearly stated in the terms that it was entirely voluntary to have those options added. So basically we were lied to. I called today to have those items canceled and will get a refund in the amount of $648.00. The finance person's explanation was that is how they do things there. Terrible!!!! Terrible!! 1 Star customer service is being generous... My husband and I were looking for a nice sedan when a 2018 Kia Stinger GT1 caught our attention parked out front. The sales gentleman was nice enough although we later found out he told us some lies about the car. We test drove the Stinger GT1 and became fairly quickly impressed with it! We were not familiar with the car and so we did a little internet recon. Upon looking online we found it was a great car and that there was the exact same car 1 hour away with 18,000 less miles listed for $2,000 less. We pointed it out and we were immediately told by the sales manager if we had the gas money to get there to go get it (okay buddy). Shocked and disappointed we did leave and drive the 1 hour to Doug smith Kia in American Fork, UT where we received excellent customer service. We proceeded to buy not the 2018 GT1 with 18,000 less miles but a 2022 model with only 25 miles! The tone and the attitude at Wasatch Kia in Riverdale, UT was rude and basically can't be bothered. If we could not find a middle ground on the car we were certainly ready to look at other options. I have never been dismissed or insulted in this way in any dealership before. The manager told us there was a Grand Canyon between us and apparently the price of the car?!... there is a Grand Canyon between the manager and common decency. We will never return there and certainly will not be using them for future service on our new 2022 Stinger GT1! read more
