I attempted to purchase a used car from this dealership. I was given a purchase agreement which I signed and sent in. Later on I was given wire fund details on where to send the money and then I'd have to continue with other contracts. I received a call afterwards saying they actually sold the car to someone else. Thankfully I hadn't wired the money over yet, but it was a breach of contract and I just don't care enough to bring them to court and fight for the small amount of time I wasted. I do not trust this dealership and would be very careful on what you're signing and who is asking for what. read more

The absolute WORST of the lying, slimy scum bag "used car salesman" type you imagine are out there reside in and own this dumpy dealership!!!! Do not fall for the family owned, "friendly small-business" antics because these guys will scam you and then leave you high and dry. There isn't room enough for me to relay the hell they have put us through for over a year with the lie of a car that they sold to us, but we are pressing this issue and will see it through!! I only hope I can save others from having to deal with the HORRIBLE owners because they have treated me like absolute garbage!! When I went to trade in my car with them it was because it was a BRANDED TITLE and I didn't want to deal with the pain of a branded title anymore. We sought out the car we wanted and directly spoke with Preston at first because the car we were seeking online DID NOT HAVE A CAR FACTS REPORT and we wanted details on it. We were VERY SPECIFIC that we wanted a CLEAN CAR and why. PRESTON did not tell us that the CAR HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN STOLEN AND HAD A TOTAL LOSS CLAIM ON IT. Sadly, we did not discover their complete and utter dishonesty until we needed to take the car in for some repairs and the warranty company informed us that they could not cover the issues because we had not disclosed the TOTAL LOSS CLAIM on the car!! We were dropped from our warranty, we had to fix the car on our dime. We called and called and called the dealership asking for help. At first they acted like they wanted to help. They said they felt sorry that we were being lied to by the warranty company and that because the title was "clean" that there was no loss in value. We then asked if they would buy the car back (for fair market value) and that's when things turned ugly. Preston lost his cool with me because he was completely guilty of omitting the part where the car was STOLEN and handed me off to Jordan. Jordan said they would help us with the repairs and assured me that the car held its value, but then ghosted me. When I finally got ahold of them Jordan CALLED ME A LIAR and said they never said they would help us, and wouldn't do anything further. He challenged me to go to other dealerships to check on the value of the car, and when we did the dealerships all told us that the car has a TOTAL LOSS on it and therefore it could not be sold or traded in for anything more than as a branded title/salvaged title car. When I tried to return to Jordan with this information he was a total a-hole and told me I was lying and "playing the victim". I have seriously never in my life been treated worse by a "business owner" but his rude and childish behavior was almost laughable!! Even though jordan continued to swear that the car has complete market value, he told me I needed to go to Car Max to get it sold because they "stand by their cars" ...but they don't want to buy buck the obvious POS they sold to me?? Gee, I wonder why?? The car is clearly crap, and that's the kind of TRASH you get when you buy from Beutler Auto Sales in Clearfield Utah! I AM A VICTIM OF THIS CAR DEALERSHIPS LIES!! They have to disclose this type of information, and they know it which is why they are being so horrible to me and my family!!! We paid a lot of extra money for a CLEAN CAR. This is NOT a CLEAN CAR. On our last conversation he continued to interrupt and demean me by calling me a liar and telling me I don't know what I'm talking about, and then hung up the phone on me. Jordan the owner is probably one of the nicest people I've ever met. But the downside is one of the salesman. I showed interest in a vehicle and told him I would get a loan through my bank since the salesman told me they don't do financing on branded titles. So I got a loan and got approved. I went in the next morning and told him of this good news. I was ready to purchase the car but my brother wanted to test drive a vehicle so I told him I'd be back to finish the deal. When I got back there was a customer in his office. I didn't think too much of it but he came out and told the owner "He's going to hate me" I found out the car that I came to purchase after the news of my loan was just sold right infront of me. And I do understand there was no obligation to hold the vehicle for me and that is completely fine but there was no communication what so ever of this to me. I would just advise to work on the communication and it would've been a better situation. Other than that super friendly place and good deals! read more

My experience from Beutler was very unique but I couldn't have asked for anything more. I bought over the phone pretty much and was helped from the moment I contacted them. After I was sent pictures and video, I put money down and they held it until I could drive the hour away. Once I was there, it was the easiest process I have had. Plus everyone was so kind and helpful I couldn't have asked for a better experience and quality of truck. It runs great and they were open and honest with me about everything. Thank goodness for Beutler Auto! My purchase process was atypical since I live out of state, and could easily have gone awry, but Craig and his guys made sure it was smooth sailing all the way! I'd been searching for a Honda Element for weeks, and saw their listing on KBB. I called and they offered to hold it for me for a small fee (which was later rolled into the purchase price) until my friend who lives in SLC could take it for a test drive. They handled the payment entirely over the phone, and even parked it on their lot (and shoveled it out of the snow) before I flew in to pick it up! Everything was spotless -- the car was clean, great shape just like the photos, and they had all the paperwork ready. No hidden fees, just the temporary registration. Fuck this place! I bought a '04 civic 5 months ago and its broken down twice! He showed me a clean title and a clean car fax as well as the maintenance upkeep. It looked good like a great deal, but the power steering went out last week ($750) and today the damn thing overheated. They sold me a goddamn lemon. Do not buy from here. Update: I have now spent $3000 extra to repair this POS. Called them about this they don't care, and he tried to blame it on my mechanic that I've been using for 20 years. Based on my husband's decision, my daughter bought a 2005 Toyota Camry (AS IS). Within one week of purchase, mechanical problems. Of course you get what you pay for with an "AS IS" product. 3. Upon purchase of said vehicle, the sales rep stated, "We just rotated the tires, put new tires on and done an alignment." BIG FAT LIES! My daughter took the vehicle in to a reliable and reputable mechanic we've had for years because the vehicle started shaking badly on her way to work this morning. Come to find out the tires were never rotated, the alignment was never done, and, no new tires were put on." 4. If you find yourself in a dealership lobby and office that looks like it's stuck in the late 70's, early 80's and is MESSY? LEAVE!! Just LEAVE!! Yeah, the majority of the fault falls on hubby not doing his research properly. 5. DO YOUR RESEARCH before buying a vehicle: a. Get a report on a vehicle to find out how many owners the vehicle went through. b. Look up the KBB (Kelly Blue Book)price on the year, make and model of the intended vehicle. c. I had a similar experience to Karly S from Flagstaff. I was hunting and hunting for a good Honda Element in California where I live. Every one I saw had high miles and was overpriced. I saw one for sale in Utah where I used to live. As soon as I noticed that it was Beutler that was selling it, I was happy. I knew everything would be great! My family has bought 6 cars from them over the years with never a hiccup. My brother-in-law went over to Beutler and test drove the car and sent me photos. I said I wanted it for sure, so the Beutler guys did all the paperwork before I even came into the shop. All I had to do was hand over a check and drive away. As I drove away, I noticed a loud clunk. I took it to my mom's mechanic and he said it was struts that needed replacing. I called Beutler, and they said bring it on back, and so I did. Beutler replaced my ball joints, my struts and my bushings. No charge. What a happy surprise. read more

Disappointed in what we thought was a good business. Showed us a truck that had just come in and was still being cleaned and repaired so it could go on the lot, but wasn't ready for sale. We were interested but wanted to see it when ready so they suggested we could put down a small deposit ($100) and they would call us when it was ready and we could have first look. If we wanted it, great. If not, they would put it on the lot. Seamed reasonable but what they did NOT say was it was a non refundable deposit. 3 salespeople and no one mentioned they were keeping our money. They apologized for the confusion but made no effort to remedy their mistake. Very disappointed. Triple check everything if you shop here. read more

I bought a 2005 Honda Civic from them about 2 years ago. After driving it about 20 miles the engine light came on. I confronted them about it and they replaced the EGR with a used one and the light came right back on. They then said it wasn't their problem. Later after putting at least $2,000 maintenance into the car, I learned the engine is not the original and doesn't even belong in that type of car, so I was doomed to always get codes. Beutler Auto never told me any of this of course. They need to be closed down. read more
