The menu offers Greek specialties, pasta, a mix of continental entrees, & a variety of sandwiches. I had the skordalia appetizer, which comes with a generous helping of this wonderful potato-garlic dip served with pita bread & garnished with Kalamata olives & pepperocini. Consulting with my friendly server Chloe, I decided on moussaka, a beef, eggplant & potato casserole with both a tomato-based sauce & a bechemel topping. It was even better in leftover form! The portion was large, & the flavors & textures married well. Each element was distinguished, & not mushy at all. Fresh-baked bread is served when you sit down. The decor is inviting & invokes the blue themes seen so often in Greece. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is lack of liquor options. Call ahead & see if they mind if you bring your own. I didn't think of that ahead of time. Good wishes to this establishment.

On the day of the dinner Chef Andrew showed up on time and ready to go and put together a phenomenal four course meal for us. Each course seemed better than the last and we loved that the chef told us about each dish as they served them to us. Chef Andrew had a helper that was very attentive and kept our waters and wines full for the whole meal. Appetizer, a pork gyoza to die for, salad of tomatoes and this red pepper sauce that I will remember for years to come was only transcended by the wagyu beef entree with a carrot puree. Desert of mango ice cream was the perfect ending for an amazing meal. And after it was all said and done, they had done all of the dishes and left the kitchen cleaner than how it started! They've had trouble in the past finding private chefs matched their budget and food preferences. As travelers to the North Shore, they've become frustrated with the lack of good dining. They reached out to Emily because her website focused on farm to table ingredients, locally sourced, from Kaua'i. My family visits often, not only to escape the cold, but to benefit from the healthy lifestyle available in the islands. WOW! Chef Emily came through in the clutch. Would you pay $20 for a single chicken thigh from a food truck?…read more We were at the Thursday Allerton Gardens Farmers Market near Lawai Rd Spouting Horn in Southern Kauai. There was a kiosk with food trays under covers. Big sign advertising Caribbean food and jerk chicken. About the last place I expected to find Jerk Chicken. Took a sample of the jerk chicken, and was in food heaven. Pricey at $20 cash only for one large piece of spicy delicious, finger licking dark chicken meat, together with large sides of tasty beans-rice and tasteless cabbage. The chicken thigh was covered with a thick blackened layer of spice, almost too spicy, it overwhelmed the chicken thigh. Addicting. Had to carry four TV dinner like trays 1.2 miles back to the timeshare, as wife had lost me. We were in the area of Kauai where our cell phones on Tracfone didn't work, so couldn't even send texts, let alone phone. This jerk chicken is sweeter than our local back-a-yard jerk chicken. Dark meat marinated in a sweet sauce. Don't get used to it, as only available at catering events in Kauai, with no home restaurant.

Served with yellow rice (not too fluffy, not too sticky, but just right!) and a bed of steamed cabbage, this chicken is amazing. The sambousa is heavenly with seasoned mixed vegetables and drizzled with the jerk chicken sauce. Everything is locally sourced when possible. Atmosphere? From our first correspondence, right through the day of the party, Jen's response time to any of my questions and her sincere interest or concern with anything I put to her was above and beyond. Once we established the size and kind of party I was having, Jen was able to help point me in the right direction with food, bar service and a cake. The day of the party, Jen and her team arrived a couple of hours before the party was due to start and began to work their magic. They prepared the food and set a bar in the front room. As soon as the first guest arrived there was food and drinks at the ready. To say the food was amazing, doesn't say enough. As I told Jen when we were planning the menu that I had a couple of picky eaters and a vegetarian attending. Needless to say, they were more than able to accommodate them. We had a full tended bar. If you're ever on the fence with having a bartender I highly recommend it. And the cakes. Yes 2 cakes! Delicious! After the last of the guests departed, her team began to return the house to the way it was when they arrived earlier. This was a worry-free party, enjoyed by all who attend. I would refer Destination Events Hawaii to everyone. Mahalo Jen! MIke
