Matcha Brownies with Haupia ice cream and a black salt sprinkle brought it all home! The following dinner stepped the flavors even more over the top as we enjoyed her Mediterranean menu. We started with an incredible Mezzo platter including delicious hummus and the freshest, most flavorful feta I have ever had. The menu progressed to include a beautiful salt crusted Red Snapper (see Pix) and concluded with an awesome Strawberry Rose Coconut Cheesecake. Our family has a wide range of tastes and includes some serious foodies (two live in San Francisco and dine out multiple times a week) and all were blown away. From our first correspondence, right through the day of the party, Jen's response time to any of my questions and her sincere interest or concern with anything I put to her was above and beyond. Once we established the size and kind of party I was having, Jen was able to help point me in the right direction with food, bar service and a cake. The day of the party, Jen and her team arrived a couple of hours before the party was due to start and began to work their magic. They prepared the food and set a bar in the front room. As soon as the first guest arrived there was food and drinks at the ready. To say the food was amazing, doesn't say enough. As I told Jen when we were planning the menu that I had a couple of picky eaters and a vegetarian attending. Needless to say, they were more than able to accommodate them. We had a full tended bar. If you're ever on the fence with having a bartender I highly recommend it. And the cakes. Yes 2 cakes! Delicious! Very fun spot to visit, this brick and mortar is no longer a food truck but they have a spot now, I loved the vibe! Limited seats for dine in and parking, but patience should do it. Why Fun?- while waiting for my order, I was looking at all the trinket items for sale, the stickers, magnets and cards was fun to look at and made me just crack up, too funny! I got the garlic shrimp plate ( $22.50) comes with rice and choice of sides and the churro french toast, available in 2 or 4. I went with the 2 for $14. * Place your order at the front and wait for your beeper for your food, there's self serve utensils, condiments and water jug available. The verdict: Wow, omg- The butter garlic shrimp comes with 6 huge pieces of shrimp with heads on, super tasty, fresh. It was work with the head on but yum, super tasty! I wish I had some bread to soak up that sauce! The mac salad was tasty but the kim chee was on the fermented side which I don't like. He somehow made food that made everyone happy. As a grandpa himself, he knew how to make kids food and wasn't bothered by the little kids running around while he cooked. As a parent of young kids, it was totally worth it compared to the hassles of organizing, transporting, and dealing with everyone going out to a restaurant with 15 people... this was nice and easy. This was our first private chef experience so we didn't know what we were getting into, but he made it very easy for us throughout the process, from meal planning to clean up.. Chef Cory's pricing was similar to the other options on the island and his initial quote was fairly accurate compared to the final invoice. I will definitely hire him again next time I'm in Kauai!

She was patient not only with me while all the details were ever changing but she stayed in touch with me and walked me through all the details. She created a menu for the day and did all of the work from beginning to the end. She is a lovely soul and I wish I lived in town because I could use her help in my kitchen. The meal was amazing and fresh and the leftover were just as awesome. We also had her do a private yoga session for us. She was exactly what we were looking for. 1/2 of us were experienced and the other 1/2 were not. It was a great session for all of us. Carla offered suggestions and per positive and joyful demeanor was such a pleasure to work with. The food.... This was to die for. Chef Eric is truly talented and the passion for what he does is reflected in his cooking. They came into the house, worked in the smaller kitchen, and kept bringing out food that was delicious. It has been over 6 months since our wedding and our guests still talk about how wonderful the food was. My mother in law, the one that rented the house, also still talks about how they came in, cooked, cleaned up and left and you never would have known someone was working in the kitchen. We had appetizers, salads, finger foods, small main dishes and a cupcake tower all by Chef Eric. Chef Eric and Carla are locals and community helpers. There was plenty of food left over from our reception and instead of throwing it away, they donated the food to a local charity which I was very touched by.
