Not only is Dave's cooking unreal, he is so kind, helpful and passionate about what he does. Working with him was the absolute best thing I could've asked for and I am so grateful to be connected with him. She uses fresh local ingredients with a style that is bold in her use of spices and herbs, many of which come from her garden. Our first night we selected off of her Hawaiian Pacific menu, starting with her Ahi Bruschetta with an avocado mouse and her Purple Sweet Potato galettes, then a Farm Fresh Salad to lead into the entrees of Steak and MahiMahi with grilled veggies and an amazing Cauliflower done two ways. Matcha Brownies with Haupia ice cream and a black salt sprinkle brought it all home! The following dinner stepped the flavors even more over the top as we enjoyed her Mediterranean menu. We started with an incredible Mezzo platter including delicious hummus and the freshest, most flavorful feta I have ever had. The menu progressed to include a beautiful salt crusted Red Snapper (see Pix) and concluded with an awesome Strawberry Rose Coconut Cheesecake. Our family has a wide range of tastes and includes some serious foodies (two live in San Francisco and dine out multiple times a week) and all were blown away. Her portions are also very generous, so we enjoyed a full leftover meal the following days. I heartily recommend Farm Cook Kauai for an incredible personal chef dining experience!

The menu offers Greek specialties, pasta, a mix of continental entrees, & a variety of sandwiches. I had the skordalia appetizer, which comes with a generous helping of this wonderful potato-garlic dip served with pita bread & garnished with Kalamata olives & pepperocini. Consulting with my friendly server Chloe, I decided on moussaka, a beef, eggplant & potato casserole with both a tomato-based sauce & a bechemel topping. It was even better in leftover form! The portion was large, & the flavors & textures married well. Each element was distinguished, & not mushy at all. Fresh-baked bread is served when you sit down. The decor is inviting & invokes the blue themes seen so often in Greece. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is lack of liquor options. Call ahead & see if they mind if you bring your own. I didn't think of that ahead of time. Good wishes to this establishment.

My husband found them on-line and from the moment of initial contact, Carla was amazing to work with. Our wedding was a destination wedding with the reception in the backyard of a large house that our family rented. We had about 24 guests including us, which seemed like a lot for a destination wedding. We had a wedding 'coordinator' to help us with the planning but to be honest, she wasn't great. Carla offered suggestions and per positive and joyful demeanor was such a pleasure to work with. The food.... This was to die for. Chef Eric is truly talented and the passion for what he does is reflected in his cooking. They came into the house, worked in the smaller kitchen, and kept bringing out food that was delicious. It has been over 6 months since our wedding and our guests still talk about how wonderful the food was. My mother in law, the one that rented the house, also still talks about how they came in, cooked, cleaned up and left and you never would have known someone was working in the kitchen. We had appetizers, salads, finger foods, small main dishes and a cupcake tower all by Chef Eric. Chef Eric and Carla are locals and community helpers. There was plenty of food left over from our reception and instead of throwing it away, they donated the food to a local charity which I was very touched by.
