From there, they were able to give me a price estimate, match me with a suitable artist, and schedule my appointment. They required an $80 + tax deposit (nonrefundable) which is deducted from the total price of the tattoo. I did have to reschedule my appointment once, which they accommodated. However, their rules/fine print does seem a bit complicated for rescheduling if you need more than two. Upon entering the shop, there was no one at the front desk (I had an 11:00 AM appointment), but another artist working there pointed me towards the waiver. My artist came in and seated me, then we discussed the tattoo I wanted. She was able to make the requested changes to the type (I got a script tattoo) on the spot, and we got to tattooing! I had Athena and she made me feel super comfortable throughout the experience, making sure to check in on me every few minutes. The interior has a great design, is sanitary, and filled with nice artists and staff. I also love that there's such a high quality, reputable tattoo shop in Markham! (And I didn't have to make the trip downtown) I'd love to come back here!

This spot at yonge and sheppard is convenient, clean and a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. I feel super comfortable here, even when it's filled with people, there is still a lot of space for me. Ben only hires strong artists - even his junior artists are great. Isabel did a huge peony piece on my thigh and after it truly looks like it was done by someone with 5x more experience than she had. It was quick (literally outline, colour and shading in 2h), comfortable and although painful, she made sure I was feeling ok the entire time. Isabel's portfolio is actually super cute - I think she definitely needs to set a neo-traditional niche because her thick linework is clean without blowouts which is hard to achieve. She is definitely going far in this field. Ben has also tattooed me and he is very light-handed so it barely hurt at all. Also his realism pieces are actually insane - give him 10 years, he is definitely going to be famous in this game. My friend has also gotten pierced here and the piercer Taylor was so so so experienced, clean and definitely knew what she was doing. I've heard her talk to all sorts of clients and you can tell she's been piercing for awhile. (which is a green flag). She's dope AF too. I'm definitely coming back! Have you seen their flash work on their walls and IG?! That stuff is insane. I definitely need all of them on my body, now. Vibes are just immaculate here - if you need a place to get your first tattoo, I don't recommend going to pacific mall....bring your butt over here instead. Six years ago, I paid for a tattoo that had six lines of words dedicated to my daughter who passed away in September 2019. The wording was done wrong, so I had to spend my own money to get it lasered off somewhere else. After the laser removal, I went back to Ink Living Colour to give them a chance to fix what they did. Sam, the owner at the time, said his girlfriend could correct it. The correction made the tattoo even worse. I had to push hard for them to take responsibility and Sam eventually agreed to remove it for no cost. Then the machine broke down, and not long after, Sam passed away. From that point on, everything became a nightmare. Appointments were missed without warning. Emails and calls went unanswered for months. The staff came and went constantly and no one seemed to care enough to follow through. I have never dealt with a business so unprofessional or so unreliable. Sam truly tried to help while he was alive, and I respect that, but the people running things after him showed no concern at all. His brother, who was involved in the business, never once reached out to me or took responsibility for the way I was treated. The last time I spoke with them, they promised me another session at no cost. Shortly after, they emailed me again and said they changed their minds and that the company name was changing. They were no longer willing to help me, even after everything that happened and everything I went through. I thought about taking this to small claims court but finding every receipt after six years would be difficult, and honestly I only need two more sessions to fully remove the damage they caused. So instead, I am choosing to use my voice. I want people to know exactly what happened to me so they can decide for themselves before going there. Losing my daughter was the hardest thing I have ever lived through. Dealing with this tattoo and the broken promises from this business made that grief even harder. I wish I never walked into this place. Even if people see good reviews, that was not my experience at all. My experience with Ink Living Colour was the worst I have had with any business in my entire life. I hope sharing my story helps someone avoid the stress, the pain, and the disappointment I went through.

I loved her ideas and we went forward with some time in the chair. Tattoos can be very painful, but Christine has a soft touch with a machine that effectively stabs you to put in ink. The atmosphere is so relaxed and private. Since the half/quarter sleeves, I've been back twice more to have my children's names tattooed across my chest. The most recent being this past Wednesday and my first time in her new shop. The new location is amazing, relaxing and has a such a cool vibe. We are now working on putting together a back piece. I wanted to get my second tattoo and was not planning on going to pacific mall for it because I only knew about Chronic Ink Tattoos. The staff there honestly looked very mean and was just money-hungry. The second tattoo I wanted to get was a big piece. I needed a good artist for sure. Luckily I went to the second floor and happened to come across the little phat buddha shop (This was their first one in p-mall). I spoke with Marvin and he was so welcoming, genuine and down to earth. I wasn't sure about doing it here, but he still gave me some points on what to ask tattoo artists, etc. He drew my piece out first and anything I wanted to add/take away before we started was easily done by him. I took a long time of emailing back and forth to agree on the final tattoo, but Marvin was patient and kind. He never rushed or sounded annoyed or anything! We went for my daughter's ear piercing. We were helped by Jai (The Piercing Goddess!). Jai was very competent, sympathetic, and supportive. How it works: the piercing itself is free, but you gotta buy a minimum of CAD100 in jewelry. After shopping around online, I realized this price is pretty standard these days. I don't really want my daughter to get more piercings, but if she does, I'll be totally comfortable going back to The Piercing Place!

I had sent them the image ahead of time with another image for an idea of shading. We talked to Bahador & made an appointment for the actual tattoo session for both of us. The day of the session we waited a bit as Bahador was with another client & finishing up. We showed him the images again & decided on the size & placement of the tattoo on each of us. Hubby went first & I waited on the couch nearby. It took about 1.5 hours for his session. Then I was next. Hubby had his tattoo placed on his forearm & I had mine placed on my left shoulder. Bahador was professional & nice. I kind of wondered if he was bored because our design was really simple. But we picked him because we really liked his other work that we saw on instagram. I think if I get another tattoo that is more elaborate I would like him to do it. He's very talented. The receptionist Talin (spelling) was really nice also. Her personality is friendly & bubbly. She offered us a drink while we waited. I opted for a simple bottle of water. There is a single washroom on the main floor for customers. There is also a lower level where some other artists work but we didn't go there so I'm not sure what it looks like. The main floor though is very brightly lit. The floors are white tiles. And the walls are white also. The tattoo chairs are black with silver hardware. Everything is very clean. Anyway, we were very satisfied with our matching tattoos. We also think the price was reasonable. I would come back here if I ever get another tattoo. Hubby has been here before & so has my SIL.

I got a couple small tattoos at 8 Ink at the beginning of August. The ink bled on one and I let…read morethe tattoo artist know right away. She said she could fix it and I went in about a month later after it healed. When she saw it, she said should couldn't fix it. Huh?! Her suggestions then were to outline it in a different colour or put a colour splash on top of it to hide the ink bleeding. I didn't want to do either. I suggested she widen the tattoo a bit and colour over the bleeding but maybe use a different bottle of ink? She said she would use the same ink but different size needles and that should do the trick. Well, the ink bled again and I let her know right away again. She said she would ask her boss about what to do and get back to me. That was two months ago and I haven't heard back from her. Not impressed and I won't go back. Today I had my second tattoo removal procedure to remove the ink bleeding. More pain and more $$ but it's getting closer to looking better.

This place should be shut down…read more I had to temporarily replace my tragus earring with an acrylic spacer for an MRI test (got this done at Adrenaline Tattoo's on Queen Street - amazing place). Decided to get my original earring put back in at 'Depression Ink' since it was a lot closer to home, and since it was a low risk procedure didn't think it would make a huge difference where I went (simply putting in an earring - note: I could not do it on my own since it is small and I cannot see the inside of my ear to screw it in.) I called beforehand and the owner said that it would be no problem. I went in, showed him the original earring, and his apprentice proceeded to take out the spacer (I was fine with this - again, low-risk procedure). Then when it was time to put the earring in the owner said he could not, it was too small - even though it was the earring I have had in my tragus for over ten years. Even though he told me on the phone no problem. Even though he saw the earring when I came into the shop - before starting anything - and said again, no problem. Irritated at this point, I said to put the spacer back in and I would go elsewhere. He said he could not (???). He would need to put a brand new earring in (one with a longer bar so that he could grasp it with his hands and screw it in)...andddd I would have to buy it from him (scammer). I agreed so that I could just get this over with and get out of there, lay down for him to put in the new earring, and suddenly felt horrible pain. I screamed out and asked what he was doing?! HE WAS STICKING A NEEDLE THROUGH MY EAR. Without ANY CONSENT on my part, he attempted to RE-PIERCE my tragus (the hole was already there and perfectly fine - I had it pierced 15 years ago!) to put the earring in (wtf).. He did this 1) Without asking or telling me first and without any consent on my part, 2) Without any proper sterilization techniques 3) Without showing me where that needle came from (I have no clue if it came from a sealed package or not). Disgusting. Why in hell would you re-pierce a hole that already exists and that was perfectly healed???! At the end of it all he was able to put the new earring in by hand and just screwed it closed - like he should have done in the first place. And three days later I am left with a horrible infection in my ear that has required medical attention, and a lost piercing hole that was healthily healed for over 15 years. This man should not own a business not should his establishment be shut down. DO NOT COME HERE. Save yourself from a completely unprepared, unknowledgeable shop owner who has no concern for health and safety - something CRUCIAL in the tattoo and piercing business. I went to simply change an earring. I left with a serious infection. Unbelievable.
