    Sausage gravy and biscuits

What a fantastic place. Park and enter from the back. I love biscuit and gravy, the King being Hardees, and I judge all others by that measurement. This was pretty good, surprisingly good. Too much gravy though, or not enough biscuits. The ratio was off I can't be certain if the biscuits are massed produced, but they were good to eat so no complaint. Large glass of OJ. Old timers telling stories and laughing, news on the television, huge bowls of creamers, and jelly. No frills, single open room mess hall. Loved it.

Didn't know this place existed until I saw it on Yelp. It was a bit confusing at first when first pulling up to the place ss there is no sign outside that says "warrior cafe" As you enter inside and turn right, you'll see the small dining room. The pricing is really great compared to other restaurants in the area. Good breakfast food! Steak was a bit overcooked but i still enjoyed it

Biscuit, over easy eggs, bacon, grits, and potatoes.

I've been wanting to try the cafe for sometime. We had breakfast here here a couple of times. Food is good, nice portions, and good service. Prices are very reasonable.

While in the DC area for a family funeral at Arlington National Cemetery last week, 10 of the cousins gathered for breakfast at Warrior Cafe Post 176 before parting ways. From the street, you wouldn't even know they have a restaurant, as it is inside the American Legion building. Thankfully, I found good reviews on Yelp and we decided to try it. All of us really enjoyed the breakfast! The servings are pretty large and the food was cooked well. All the tables were served by one waitress/server and she was good. We didn't have to wait long for anything and she came by to check on us often. Impressive! I recommend this little place if you are in the area!

This place is a hole in the wall type place, but the breakfast food was cheap (no taxes and prices low) and delicious. I need to find one like this in the Atlanta area since I've moved. I recommend this place to the highest!

I was passing through the area and coming across Warrior Cafe Post 176 was a happy accident. It's a basic diner with a general menu but the food was delicious! With large portions and inexpensive prices you simply can't go wrong. The ladies who work there were very warm and welcoming.

Sausage, Egg, & Cheese, home fries. Added grits and Belgium waffle. Food pretty decent and level of comfortability good.

Food pretty decent. Service good and friendly. Ambiance nice but nothing spectacular.

Scrapple with butter grits and eggs. Delicious.

Warrior Cafe is a hidden gem with great breakfast and lunch. The food reminds me of home, butter grits, scrapple, eggs, pancakes, and fried chicken. Not all at once, of course. Sonya, our server has a wonderful personality and attentive service. The food is delicious and affordable.

The place is 24/7 and it is a big plus for those who can't find anything around Springfield when it's late. When it's late night, it can be kind of rough when it's packed with people coming from the bar next door or just a sudden group of hungry people wanting their breakfast fix. Like any breakfast places, it's quick, it's cheap, and affordable at a reasonable price. I went with what was comfort for me; Country Fried Steak with Scrambled Eggs and Hash Browns with White Toast. The sausage gravy that the used on the Country Fried Steak? It elevates it to a whole new level. Eggs tasted buttery, and Hash Browns crispy with a nice side of grease coming to it. I can't really complain because this is something I eat once in a while but it's my guilty pleasure. Overall, you can't go wrong with Bob & Edith's. They are just open at any time and you are rest assured that your breakfast will be good as mine.

Getting there around 8AM, they weren't very busy. Tried their cinnamon roll, honey chicken w/egg biscuit, and their breakfast potatoes. Unfortunately, they only serve Starbucks coffee, which is far from a fav of mine, but it can be tolerable (it's usually too "burnt" and bitter tasting)... In this instance, it was actually decent. The food took about 10 minutes to prepare and came out piping hot. The cinnamon roll was room temperature, as it came from the display case and it was excellent! Lots of great flavor and it resembled croissant dough - Not sure if that's what they use to make it, but it's amazing! The biscuit was nice, but crumbled too easy... fortunately due to the size, I decided to use fork & knife to eat it, so the biscuit's inability to hold everything together didn't matter to me. The flavors were great! Definitely very nicely done. Those breakfast potatoes were VERY tasty - yum!!! Service was very nice... the clerk who took our order was friendly and helpful.

As expected, it was busy, but the restaurant does have a fairly large parking lot which made arrival easier. The setup was interesting. After checking in downstairs, I was given a ticket and directed upstairs for seating. I took the elevator, which offered a clear view of the kitchen below as it ascended... definitely a unique touch. Upstairs, another host staff guided us to our table. The space had a lively feel, roaring with chatter from customers, and I could see parts of the kitchen where food was being prepared over an open flame, which added to the overall atmosphere. For the food, we started with the calamari. It was cooked well and had a nice texture, especially paired with the crispy onion shoestrings, which added a good crunch and flavor. It was served over a lobster sauce, although the lobster flavor wasn't very noticeable. The main issue was the salt level... it was quite heavy! I did enjoy it overall, but I would only recommend it to someone who doesn't have to watch their sodium intake. For entrées, I ordered the steak cooked medium with broccolini. The dish automatically comes with mashed potatoes, and while I was able to substitute the salad for broccolini, there didn't seem to be flexibility with the potatoes. After tasting the mashed potatoes, I wish I was offered to substitute it as it tasted like the brown box we grew up on where you just added water. When the food came out, the steak was closer to medium-well or well done rather than medium, and both the mashed potatoes and broccolini were a bit cold. I chose not to send it back since we waited but it did affect the overall experience. My guest ordered the ribs with fries and coleslaw. The ribs were well-prepared--tender with a clean pull off the bone--and were probably the highlight of the meal. The fries were also very good and came out hot. The coleslaw wasn't as well received, described as having too many of the tougher parts of the cabbage. Overall, the experience had some positives, especially in terms of atmosphere and certain menu items like the ribs and fries. While I did enjoy parts of the meal, it's not somewhere I would personally return to, but it may be worth trying once to form your own opinion.

First Watch is one of those places where I'm like eh.... Maybe not. But I did! We didn't stay long and only had our laptops open for the meal, but no one said anything so it was solid. FOOD: So, for me she suggested the chilaquiles. I trusted her input and ordered that!
