Warrior Brewing is a hidden gem! It's slightly off the main road and such a great find. I'm happy to support a local, veteran-owned business. The space: They've got a lot of seating in a spacious, warehouse-type room, and they've also got some outdoor seating. I enjoyed the space to play cornhole. The decorations are veteran-centric but not overdone. The staff are friendly and attentive, which created an environment that made me want to stay all afternoon. The beer: I got a flight and loved almost every beer I tried! The flight is served on a really awesome board, and the amount of beer I got was impressive! I especially appreciated the ability to customize my fruited Valkyrie with different flavors. The food: There was a food truck from Log Home Wood Fired Pizza, and wow, was that pizza good! It looks like they've got a great lineup of other food trucks for the rest of the season.

Cool brewery, great beer. Veteran owner and a cool dude too. They are expanding the taproom and production area. This is a cool space camouflaged inside a normal seeming commercial building. You might drive by without noticing it, but you'll be glad when you go inside and enjoy a cold one or pick up some bombers or cans to go.

Brand new brew spot in town to check out! Right by wild state and Ursa Minor. It's hard to find but if you park in the parking lot near subway and look for the address on the door you'll be in beer heaven in no time! This place is so cute. Open air. Great beers. Sick logo. Check this spot out!

We heard about this place through an instagram. We could not tell where it was located by gps, but in the same parking lot of subway. Go to the office door that says 2711 and follow the signs. Not a huge place, but very cool and Ann was very helpful and made the experience very personable. The Valkyrie Honey Golden Ale was very good and would definitely drink it again. The logo is one of the best I've seen recently and love that they are all about supporting veterans, fire and police! They have dart boards and bubble hockey for games to play while drinking. Wish them success as they have only been open for a couple weeks.

Bent Paddle Brewing Company is a family-owned and operated craft brewery and taproom in Duluth, Minnesota. The brewery opened in May 2013 and uses Lake Superior water to brew it's beers and hemp beverages. Bent Paddle's mission is to create a unique craft beer experience while also being sustainable for the business, employees, environment, and community. And they deliver on it all. I got a flight to enjoy some of their more limited offerings. Munchin Pretzels: An Oktoberfest beer brewed with traditional German Malts and Hops. I get toasted bread malt character with a bit of sweetness, but rounded out by a hop bitterness. The malt profile is definitely the forefront and I wished I had a pretzel to go with it. Infinity Stuf: An Oatmeal Stout that they went all out with 100 pounds of Oreos. Nutty oatiness, chocolate, and medium fullness. I appreciate it not being a Pastry Stout, but still get lots of Oreo character. A Beer of Their Own: A Hoppy Pale Ale brewed in collaboration with a Bar Of Their Own in the Twin Cities. Tropical fruit forward - primarily melon and cantaloupe, with a nice finish. Stratarado: A Hoppy Pale Ale brewed with Strata and El Dorado (get the name?). Tropical fruit, pineapple, some sweetness on the tongue. Liked this one a lot. ______

It has such a fun atmosphere, but also a wide variety of great drinks!! I LOVED the seltzers, particularly the blueberry basil, but the peach hazy IPA and the Razz beer were also amazing! Also, their beers are on the stronger side so take note if you are trying to pace yourself! Now for the fun-- Blacklist also has axe throwing!! It is pretty affordable, too. It cost $100 for my group of 6 to play for an hour. The instructor was also super personable and helpful! He kept it safe but also super fun, and he was able to step in when someone needed help but hang out when we were doing okay on our own. He also ensured no one ever had an empty glass and everyone was having fun!! I would recommend Blacklist to absolutely anyone, and would totally come back when in Duluth!

I am not big on seltzers but it was tasty. The flight of beers I got were all SKUNKY. I hate that. It makes me wonder what happened?!?! I didn't finish any of them. They have some pinball games inside. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Looks like that have some food as well. It's a decent size space and there are many seats at the bar. I just wish I enjoyed their beer more.

The beer selection was a little smaller than we expected, but there was still a nice variety of styles, so everyone in our group found something they enjoyed. They also have a full bar with specialty cocktails. The food menu was surprisingly large with lots of unique and fun options to try. The only small downside was that the Brussels sprouts were still a little undercooked for our taste, but everything else was excellent and more than made up for it. Excellent brisket, fish n chips, and build your own burger! The garlic aioli and IPA mustard sauces were definitely memorable. Overall, it's a great spot for good food, craft beer, and a fun atmosphere located right on the pier. We'd definitely come back!

We got on the waiting list and were told it'd be about a 30 minute wait. By golly, we know from the time stamps on the texts that it was 32 minutes total. We were seated outside, and service was fast and smooth from that point. We had the pretzel sticks appetizer, which was fantastic. Very soft, hot pretzels, and the queso was thick and loaded with flavor. My husband had the Canal Park red lager and really enjoyed it. My main dish was the birria tacos, which were quite good but could have used more cheese. Salsa and chips were fine, too. My husband had jalapeño popper burger with fries, and really liked it. Checkout was fast and pleasant.

Delicious poutine, with oozy gooey squeaky cheese curds. I had the smoked fish salad; it had the right amounts of everything and felt like a distinctly Duluth dish. My husband had the fish and chips. I had a bite of his fish, and it was perfect, with great batter and flavor. I would happily come here again on a visit. I can see why this is a city institution.

The same for the onion rings, they were crispy and not too greasy. We also got the inhouse made root beer. That was quite good as well.
