I refrain from leaving reviews regarding the business at hand. However, this is a personal matter involving a family pet. We have had prior issues with previous pets. The same veterinarian. Dr. Brown. A little over a month ago we were bringing in our yellow lab, "Orchi". Gorgeous dog, the love of our life. "Orchi" developed a cough/hacking that I will never get the sound out of my head. Straight to the Vet we went. Dr. Brown treated her as having "a cold". Didn't get better. Go back, and was treated as if we were "overreacting" and told us, "I'm not worried about that cough". "It is her stomach". Took blood. Come to find out it was, lung cancer. We had to return, this time requested for a different vet. We had "Orchi" in that office, 4 times in one month. Over $1000. "Orchi" passed away last week. Dr. Brown is the coldest doctor, words fall short. Now our memories of, "Orchi" will forever be tainted with this experience and how Dr. Brown treated her and us. GRIMM & GREED Raymond Grimm of the Warren County (Virginia) Veterinarian Clinic did cruciate surgery on my 8-year-old cocker spaniel, Buddy. When it was clear Buddy was not getting better, I took him back to Grimm. Grimm was happy to take money from me for four office visits. At every appointment he said the problem was arthritis, not the surgery. He said Buddy needed to do much more walking and more often. After more than two month of this nonsense, I took Buddy to a different veterinarian. The second veterinarian said substandard (cheap) material had been used to make the cruciate repair. The material used by Grimm had broken less than 48 hours after surgery. It was as though the simple surgery had never been done. The worst thing Buddy could do was walk. Not only was it painful, it could lead to more damage and the time would come when Buddy would have been left permanently lame. The second doctor did the surgery with high-quality material and at a better price. Buddy was back enjoying life within 72 hours. Furious, I wrote to Grimm to say his greed (saving money at the expense of pets under his "care") led to a pain-inducing and damaging (arthritis/more and more walking) result. I told Grimm that I wanted my money back. He refused, saying if I had taken Buddy back to the clinic, he would have done the surgery again -- for free. First, I had taken Buddy back to Grimm - four times. I was told it was arthritis. Second, I don't care if Grimm were to do the surgery for free. I had to put an innocent dog that I love through another surgery and recovery because Grimm wanted to save a few bucks? Appalling. What if a medical doctor pulled the same kind of stunt with a human patient? It's not so much incompetence as it is greed and not giving a damn. It should have been done right the first time. The second surgery may be "free" to me, but it would not be free to Buddy. I would not want to put him through that again, but I had no choice. At least I did not have to use Grimm. Grimm sought to "punish" me by saying I should find another veterinarian. Hey, I'm WAY ahead of you there! I wouldn't trust Grimm with Buddy under any circumstances. I would worry that Grimm would take this criticism out on Buddy. It's telling to note that for at least five years, the Humane Society excluded Grimm from its list of recommended veterinarians. The reason was this kind of shoddy work. Money over quality and pet health. A callous greed was shown over knowing what he had done led to more harm to my pet. I can't imagine what Buddy would have been forced to endure had I allowed Grimm to continue his care(lessness). Some will say taking a chance on Grimm turned out well. They will say he took care of their pet. It is not about the times he was successful as this should be the expectation. It is about the times he is an utter failure, which could easily be repeated. To me, pet "care" under Grimm is like playing Russian roulette. Grimm should be ashamed of himself, take responsibility, and retire. He should be replaced by somebody who has a demonstrated interest in pet health at a fair price. read more

After years of taking our 4 fur babies and even after moving we would continue going because 3 of the 4 have serious health issues. However, now we learn there is a $90.00 charge to be seen with out a scheduled appointment. Just know if your fur baby is sick/injured you will be paying this EXTRA Fee. read more

I was very happy with my visit today. I brought my two boxers in for their annual exam and shots. The staff was professional and friendly, and the veterinarian took the time to answer all of my questions. She didn't rush us out of the office, and was very attentive. I felt very welcomed an appreciated. I felt the cost was very reasonable, but I haven't compared prices or shopped around. I feel like I received a good value for the services I received. After a very poor experience at another vet, it was refreshing to be treated so well here. read more

Misdiagnosed my dog and underplayed her condition. She had to be put down at Winchester emergency a week from the visit. Winchester emergency was beyond great about everything. I gathered up the strength to cancel an upcoming appointment I made with Cedarville only to find out they already knew about what had happened. They did not bother to inform me that Winchester emergency had already notified them. Beyond disappointed with this clinic. They are fine with routine visits, but unreliable for anything important. I normally don't write reviews but my experience with this clinic is amazing. I want everyone to know how awesome they are! Last night my baby had a bad experience at the vet. Not because of the clinic but because of his anxiety/fear of the vet and being around strangers. I'm so impressed with Amanda, she's a real one, 100% awesome! You can tell she genuinely cares about all animals and enjoys her job. Amanda was professional and relatable. She made me feel better about my dog's anxiety, she even called us the very next day to see how he was doing! We always have a great experience when we go to this clinic!! Another person who really stands ouJoseph is always so patient and knowledgeable. Every time I call to set up an appointment or have a question, he is quick and efficient. If he doesn't know the answer he will find out! I have nothing but great things to say about this place and the kind people that work there. Highly recommend. After previous experiences with veterinary clinics that seemed more worried about making money than caring for pets, Cedarville was a wonderful change. All of the staff is caring and professional and work hard to make my dog comfortable. The veterinarian was very thorough and didn't rush even though we had a very last minute appointment. First off this place is WAY overpriced. A friend recommended it because they said it was cheap. IT most certainly is not. It's a new and/or failing practice that is ripping people off to try and stay opened I wish I could leave 0 stars. I wish I could get them closed down. My dog had lost a lot of weight. Turns out her kidneys were failing from Lyme disease. I met with the vet. My one question was "Am I fighting this and putting my dog through this to save her life and make her comfortable or because I'm being greedy and don't want to loose her." The vet looked at me like I was an absolute idiot, like that was the stupidest question she had ever heard. "Of course, if nothing else this will make her comfortable". They took her from me for three days, while they pumped her full of fluids to flush the toxins. I gave them $1000 and they gave me back a dog so uncomfortable she couldn't stand on her own. I don't know how long she would have had on her own without treatment but they definitely didn't make her more comfortable. They stole what little time she had left, the little time we had left together. THEY lied to me and took my $1000. When I brought her in, yes she was sick, yes she had lost way too much weight, but she was still herself, she was playing with our other dog, She still had her personality. They made her miserable. They stole my money, and whats worse is when we went to pay the bill THEY TRIED TO CHARGE US DOUBLE of what we had agreed on! They knew the procedure wouldn't help her (it was a shot in the dark, not that they told us that at the time) they're just greedy. They saw the opportunity to make $1000 for their failing practice and they took it. I had to have her put down the next day. Instead of having her at home where I could have been with her until the end she was alone with these heartless criminals. I wanted one last day at home with her and they didn't even prescribe anything to help her make it through that night. Luckily Animal Medical Center of Frederick County was very caring and actually took me in before they were supposed to open so we could end her suffering. Not only did I loose $1000 but I had half of my heart ripped out. Save yourself some money and visit vets who really care. Check out the vet on Aylor road if you need somewhere to go. They would never let something like this happen to anyone's baby. read more

I just wanted to give an update. I recently took our other dachshund for a routine check up and shots (it was his first time with this vet). He is a fear biter and does not like new things or people. I was very nervous about taking him. When I made the appointment the lady was very nice and made note that he is a biter. When we got to the clinic all my fears were instantly washed away. Everyone we came in contact with was very understanding and took their time. Once we were taken back to the exam room the vet tech took her time and gave Cooper treats until he relaxed and seemed more comfortable. It was so nice to see that they cared about him having a positive experience. The exam went really well and I felt comfortable that they made my pup at ease. They even offered suggestions to bring him by whenever we want so they can give him more treats so that eventually he will be relaxed every time he comes in. I just thought it was really nice how they treated the situation and did all they could to ensure a safe and positive experience for my little guy. I wouldn't think of looking elsewhere to take my furbabies. read more

Crappy veterinary services, and very expensive fees for simple procedures, total rip-off..........procedures on humans are cheaper than this place, not to mention they make you wait over an hour before being seen and then you get the usual "I'm sorry Sir", we had two emergencies crap, but yet they couldn't say that while you were waiting. And then to tell you two small excisions would cost well over $600.00, if they had their way I would have spent over $1,000.....total rip-off........... read more

We moved to Front Royal from Sterling, and I was very happy to find a clinic as perfect as the one I had left. The staff is very friendly and caring, as well as the veterinary doctors- very compassionate, and they took their time to make sure all my questions were answered.
