I respect their mission which is more transparent than many chain charities and reaches out to our community as a whole, not just one interest like a school etc. I also find that they are actually grateful for what you donate. I understand any thrift cannot be stuck with certain items that can't sell (T.V, computer etc.) but I choose to donate here because of their "thank you" without them otherwise picking and choosing what they feel like taking (this happened at S.Army and I have not donated there since :(. It is a great feeling to hear the interaction with children and parents right next door, singing and having fun. I believe the store is staffed by volunteers? who are actually more pleasant than many paid employees at other Thrift stores. Thanks for your service to your community!

The decor is very on trend, as are the high quality clothes and cute little knick knacks. You can find pouches, swell bottles, bralettes and active wear in addition to your every day clothing. There are some cocktail style dresses interspersed among the racks, but casual is the predominant style. The owner, Kelly, told me that she keeps light stock - only one of each size! However, she let me know that they get new stock in every week, so check back if the item you were looking for wasn't available. A note on the quality of the clothes: it's definitely more expensive than forever 21, but the quality is divine. These aren't some sweatshop rags, they're well made and the fabrics are awesome. Now, you'll have to pay a heftier price, but they do not stock any items over $200, so if you're in the market for quality clothing that will last but not break the bank, Willow is your spot.

I used to love going here and have always been very friendly with the owner, and she was friendly…read morein return. Until about a month ago, The owner confronted me, in front of other customers, and accused me of being someone she kicked out of the store last spring for shoplifting and she said I was acting funny the last time I went in because I didn't make eye contact with her and that is a sure sign of someone shoplifting, so she asked me to put my purse in front of the counter if I wanted to continue to shop. (I was not the person that she kicked out nor did I shoplift, nor was I acting any different than I always have other than 1 time I went in there to try to calm my anxiety and use retail therapy to calm my nerves, like I have done many times without being accused of "acting funny"). I told her that I have never been kicked out nor would I ever steal from her and that her comment actually really hurt because I used to come in there regularly and have slowed going because money is tight right now and I now live in Onalaska, she apologized after she realized I wasn't the person, but still made me leave my $300 Coach purse by the counter (which at first I had no problem with) until she continued to follow me around the store like I was the girl that stole from her. I was absolutely mortified and humiliated... I went back a week later and she treated me exactly the same way.. Except for this time she, ask me if i was going to try anything on which I thought was odd because she knows I ALWAYS try on my clothes if the dressing rooms are available, which they always have been even during COVID-19, so she then asked me what I had (which she has never done) counted and looked at all my things before I went into the dressing room and then continued to ask me about the things I had in the dressing room with me. I didn't end up buying anything because I felt so humiliated and disrespected again. I will never go back here based on those last 2 experiences regardless of that being one of my favorite places to go.. I won't give my hard earned money to someone that treats there customers that way, end of story. One more thing I'll add, Everyone else in the store had their purses, on both occasions and didn't have to leave their purse at the counter, and they were able to walk around the store freely without having a shadow and they were able to go into the dressing room without being harrassed as they tried on clothes.. There are many more places that I feel better deserve my hard earned money, and my money goes to charity not a women that treats me like a criminal. So my review in short, don't go here if you want to be treated like a criminal and have someone apologize and then continue to treat you like such. I have morals and values and clearly the owner doesn't know what an apology means.

I was hesitant to stop by the store due to one of the reviews below (not recommended by Yelp) and…read moreI've had some bad experiences with collection stores in the past too (I'm an avid classic gaming collector and I collected Magic/Comics years ago). Very glad I ignored that bad review and stopped by for a visit. Amazing store, good selection, great/friendly owner. The first thing you'll notice when you walk in the store is the DVD collection. They have a huge inventory. I'm not a big collector of DVD's so I can't really comment on the prices or selection. However, they have a ton, they are well organized, and I'm sure if you are looking for movies this would be a great place to come. I was really impressed with their collection of Board Games. I've always wanted to try some of the challenging games like The Settlers of Catan (which the store had an entire collection), but have always shied away because of the price (I'd hate to buy a game I know very little about and find out that I don't like them). Next time I'm in the store, I'll ask the owner about them and find out more information. I mainly checked out the store today for their Graphic Novels and Comics. I haven't collected in years and I just wanted to pick up a few good books for their stories. The owner helped me find the Walking Dead comics I wanted and pointed out some books he highly recommended. The store has a wall of "guaranteed" books, in which they'll buy the book back if you don't like them. In addition to that, they offer a buy 10 and get 1 free card. I only glanced quickly at their video games because I was in a hurry and had already spent a good amount of time talking to the owner. I like my games in mint condition with boxes and manuals. Most of the titles seemed to be loose carts (I'm talking about older stuff), so this might not be the best selection for hard-core collectors, but they had a large selection for people just interested in a good game. The best part of the store is the owner. You can always find collectables cheaper online (don't forget online stores don't have overhead like rent), but you come to places like this for the customer service. You can tell Jim loves what he does and is excited to share it with others. There's so much stuff out there to buy that it is really nice to have stores like Jimmyjams for suggestions. Great clean and organized store. I'll be back when I'm in town.
